We recently moved here from Florida to Ohio, and we highly recommend this Big Lots Store, on 2050 E Dorothy Lane, Kettering, Ohio, clean store, great inventory, kind cashiers, and excellent customer service!!

Made a quick stop right as they were ready to close. Was able to run in, grab what I needed and move along.

I think the poor lady was trying to do her job and ask for my friends receipt so she was giving it to the right person, my friend purchased it online and the man was keeping it behind the counter for her since we were looking around the store. But my friend thought she was being hassled cause she ask for a receipt but the lady didn't know the circumstances, that the guy was holding it back there for my friend. So, I truly felt sorry for the lady bless her heart. I'm sorry we made your day terrible. I'LL BUY YOU LUNCH THE NEXT TIME I COME THERE. PATTY

Have to say the manager at the facility in Kettering on Dorothy Lane was exceptional. I have never dealt with a person so service oriented. Cannot say enough praise for her. My husband and I were so impressed. She deserves a raise.

Robin was real helpful. Also Friendly and a good work Attitude. Keep up the good work Robin.

This store is by far the best and nicest Big Lots store I’ve ever been to, After living all over the state of Florida and being to many locations and moving back to Ohio I can truly say this is the best one I’ve ever shopped at and among all the big chain retailers this is the cleanest as well, even the bathrooms are superbly clean, I have a 2 year little girl so I am VERY picky about her having to potty in a public restroom. I’ve been to Target stores in the area that I will never let my daughter use the restroom in again because it was flat out disgusting! There are so many businesses in Kettering/Dayton that do so much better but they just don’t, I personally know the store manager at this location, Jenny used to be my neighbor many years ago when I was still a kid before I was a Dad and this store is no different than her home, she always had the most pristine house in the neighborhood and her store is the same! Her staff at this store are very friendly and hospitable and go the extra mile to take care of the customer, never have I had a bad experience at this store and I will continue to shop here as long as she is the manager and I honestly think she deserves recognition from Big Lots Corporate because she has probably got one of the best run stores I’ve ever been in all around, staff, cleanliness, etc. I’ve been to high end retailers in Miami that are not managed, have a clean appearance and ran as well as this store! Until I move back to Florida you’ll always have my business Jenny! I just wish you could teach the stores in Florida to be like yours! :)

I've been to several Big Lots stores and I have to admit that I was thoroughly impressed with the cleanliness of the store to include the mens room. The staff was very courteous and a pleasure to work with. Having just moved here I've found my go to store.

I went to Big Lots to find inexpensive curtains to temporarily cover some windows in my apartment. They had exactly what I needed and a comfortable price, and the checkout was quick. I appreciate all of that.

This is the best Big Lots in the area…I was looking for a specific item, furniture that I had seen on the main Big Lots website, and I shouldn’t locate it in the store. Robin, the manager, was extremely helpful about finding it and knowledgeable about assembly. I will only frequent this location now, highly recommend!

They have tons to choose from.

The staff are super friendly and helpful! Kathleen, David (I'm hoping this is his name, if not he was the nice gentleman who was working Sunday around 5:30pm) and Erika went above and beyond to help us purchase our patio furniture. Ya'll are awesome thank you so much!!

I always have a good experience here because they're prices are reasonable and today everything I needed to buy was on sale and you can't beat that. Salespeople are very helpful and friendly.

David, the furniture manager goes above and beyond. I will only go to this location due to friendly workers and clean store. David was more than helpful throughout our whole trip. Offering help to find a laundry basket, using my coupon on my furniture piece. I have never been treated with so much sincerity and respect at any store before. I will be calling corportate to put in a good word for this store. Thanks Dave!!

We spent a couple hundred dollars there because the shelves were stocked up and ready for holiday shopping. The store is clean and organized and the people were very friendly even other customers. Try them for a pleasant shopping trip, I am planning a return one real soon!

Friendly and helpful staff. Took care of my pick up order promptly. Unlike the huber heights location that made me wait in the regular for a pick up. I highly recommend this location.

Just wanted to say thank you to David in furniture for all of the assistance during a recent bed purchase. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful throughout the entire process. Even when a delivery issue occurred, he was on top of getting it resolved and making sure that everything was taken care of. David is incredibly professional and a huge asset to the company!

Walked in and was greeted by two employees. Orion in furniture was super helpful, answered questions honestly and when we wanted something that wasn’t in stock he called around and found it.

Got a good deal on a sofa and found some Dad's Old Fashioned sodas/pops. The staff was very nice too. Store was clean and organized.
