China Cafe

My family met up with some friends at China Cafe. We were a party of 6 for dinner. Ordered curry chicken, beef chow fun and chicken chow fun (so 2 orders of drunken noodles), cheese wonton, fried egg rolls, and chicken wings.

Food was sent out fast. The waiter was extremely attentive to our needs and we enjoyed our food. The restaurant owner met with us and chatted a bit and during the brief conversation, she overheard the 3 young kids say the drunken noodles were spicy. She then told us that she'd send out a chicken lo mein on the house for the kids!! We thanked her and a few minutes later, she came out with a full entree! Our kids AND us enjoyed the lo mein and thought that she's really kind and demonstrated super high level of customer service! How rare is that!

The owners are also Castle Rock residents, so I thought to write this review to encourage more locals to visit. They had been the new owners for about 2 years.

One thing I wish was for the restaurant to be brighter so it didn't look so dingy.

Got take out for Christmas Eve dinner here. We had issues with the online ordering system, as it lost our order and delayed our food by at least and hour, but I appreciate how the staff handled it as they were very professional and gave us two free entrees to make up for the delay. The food was also really quite good, especially the twice cooked pork and pineapple yellow Thai curry. With the caveat to maybe call in instead of use the website to order, I'd highly recommend this place!

Best Chinese food in the area! Our server had a constant smile and was very helpful and friendly. The decor could use an update as carpeting had holes in it and the bathroom was in need of repair.

Great dinner tonight! The waiter was helpful and quick getting our order in. We ordered Kung Pao Seafood Delight and Thai Basil Combination with brown rice. The vegetables were fresh and crunchy and the meat was tender and spiced just right. Both dishes were delicious and we had enough to take sone home, too. The owner stopped by to see how everything was. Tom has been in the restaurant business for 41 years and bought China Cafe in March. We will be back and highly recommend the food!

This place is the best! I made the mistake of choosing convenience over quality yesterday and ended up getting Tasty House sesame chicken instead, we didn't end up eatung it so I ordered from China Cafe today. (My daughter's were mad they didn't get Chinese food last night HA) The difference is remarkable! China cafe sesame chicken is on the left, beautiful big pieces of white chicken. And the right is tasty houses sesame chicken, I tried to break some of the little pieces open to show the meat but as you can see that didn't go so well. DEFINITELY ORDER FROM CHINA CAFE!! Best Chinese food in town!!

The food was tiny and everything tasted good. Too much for one meal but it was eaten at home for dinner.

Their sesame chicken is AMAZING! Their lunch special is more than enough for a late lunch, and affordable! My boyfriend and I come almost every weekend for a lunch date.

Quintessential Chinese American spot inconspicuously located in a shopping center. Lunch combo had great portions, good flavors, and the right price. Worth a stop!

Amazing food! Amazing service! The staff was so nice!! But also, the food was just great. We got the drunken noodle and sesame chicken (extra spicy) and they delivered!! We also got the egg rolls. All was just exceptional. 10/10 recommend.

Got the Sesame Chicken, which I have to admit was absolutely amazing!!!! I asked for most spicy which they totally delivered on and it didn't require a massive amount of sauce to make it complete. Had a nice crunch and a perfect flavor. I was amazed they were able to accomplish the flavor minus soggy ratio.

Hot and sour... perfect!!

Shrimp lettuce wraps.. ? I ordered but the description didn't mention onions. The amount of onions was overwhelming! I couldn't stand it!

Ate here for the first time. Quite possibly the best Szechuan Beef I've ever had. Service was very good and food was ready quickly.

So glad we found China Cafe. Everything we have had has been wonderful. We get take out. For our last I tried the Egg Foo Young. It came with a sauce with pork and vegetables. Most amazing Egg Foo Young I have ever eaten. The order is enough for 3 meals. The leftovers warmed up nicely. You will be so happy for the leftovers! Hubby always gets chicken with hot garlic sauce. Other dishes I like are teriyaki chicken and chicken chow mein. We highly recommend China Cafe.

What a hidden gem!! Fresh delicious food with crisp tender veggies and fantastic hot and sour soup.

They were very friendly on Xmas day and made sure we were doing well as the restaurant filled. The food was good as always, General Tso Chicken being our favorite and it was so tasty and crisp. They handled the unexpected crowd really well. Food came out fast and we never felt ignored. I'm looking forward to my next visit!

I've gotten the lunch special here a couple of times and it's such a great deal. The food was ready on time and it was so good. Jalapeno chicken is my favorite!

Sesame chicken was nice and crispy. Szcheuan beef was lightly spicy with some sweetness to it. Enjoyed both.

There food is very yummy! I ended up without the sweet & sour sauce that came with my meal. When I returned several minutes later to ask them if I could pay for more sauce, they were very kind and understanding. They gave me 2 sauces and a little extra treat for free. It was a selfless thing to do for someone who was having a rough day.

Amazing service, the owner Liyan is the sweetest!! The orange chicken and beef n broccoli are yum! Also the hot n sour soup is just the right spice level, love it ❤

Very delicious, hot food delivered. It’s on the pricey side, but I’m glad to finally find decent Chinese in Castle Rock after 22 years. You can also control how spicy you want your food to be.

First time ordering Asian food in Castle Rock, usually we don't have good first experiences but this was totally different. It was so easy to order online and make tip and payment. I was able to get the receipt texted to me immediately. Food was delivered earlier than what had been expected and it was delicious! It was hot and there was plenty of it. Everything was so tasty, we will absolutely be ordering from them again!!!
