Honolulu Vehicle Processing Center VPC

Fast, efficient, and courteous service! I got to the VPC around 0700, did the walk-on, as appointments were booked 3-days out. Upon arriving, I checked-in, and turned in my shipping documents. I was asked to wait until the car is brought to the inspection area. About 10-15x minutes later my name was called, and I walked over to the inspection area with the rep. The inspection walk through was quick and easy. Overall, I was able to arrive and leave with my car in less than 30 minutes. Recommend arriving before 0700, if you plan to walk-on!

Our car was shipped into Hono VPC and they were prompt about letting us know the car was in port and ready for pickup. Scheduling an appointment was easy and when we arrived for pickup, it did not take long to get our vehicle. Vehicle was in great condition and staff was very friendly and informative. Overall a good experience 👍

If you have all your paperwork added to their website ahead of time, this is a breeze to get your vehicle processed. Just make sure if you're in the military, go to the housing office and get the form filled out on the 2nd floor. It's a must have before you can ship any vehicle off island. Make sure your car is clean and only has a 1/4 tank. They move fast if you have everything ready to go. Thanks again for the ease and convenience!

Good process today for PCS Shipping. I had my VPC worksheet from the Schofield BarracksTransportation office, PCS orders, car registration, car title, and ID. Had the car washed, vacuumed seats & floors and mats, polished the dash and console, wiped the windows, AND took all papers and coins and crumbs out. Im not sure how the french fry got under the seat but i removed it and passed.

Checked in for my appointment early at 1301 and was done by 1342

I used the fastpass feature on their website. All of my documents were already pre approved before I showed up so I skipped straight to the vehicle inspection part. Make sure your car is clean they will check under your hood!

I highly recommend using the fastpass feature on the pcsmypov website you will save so much time.

Overall a smooth process if you have all required documents and a clean vehicle. I was a walk in on a busy Monday morning at 0700 and was finished by 0930. Tip, if you and your spouse names are on the title and registration you will need to have a Letter of Authorization and a Permission to Ship Form signed by you and the Spouse or Parent Guardian. The staff was very helpful and allowed me to email the form to my spouse to sign and email to the office. I was able to keep my spot and process my vehicle. Great customer service and the facilities was clean.

My experience was really good I got the fast pass and got my car detailed. So everything was pretty straight forward. I missed my appointment and had to wait a hour and a half.

I shipped my X3 from Germany. I was told to schedule an appointment to pick it up. I did and I was driving in my car within 15 minutes if my appointment. Everything went so smooth car was as nice and clean just the way I shipped it.

Currently at VPC dropping my car off for shipment to San Diego VPC. My appointment was on Friday at 1245. I had my vehicle cleaned immaculately inside and out by Premier Island Auto detail in Kailua. I arrived early, and checked in at 0856 and was seen promptly thereafter. I followed the website documentation instructions to a T and had no problem. Don’t forget to get paperwork from base Transportation. If you have a recall and it’s not completed on the website bring documentation of proof of completion. There’s a thing on their website called Fastpass where you can submit paperwork for review ahead of time. It didn’t work for me, but submitting ahead of time would take off the pressure. In all from start to finish it took me about an hour and a half, I was leaving the parking lot at 1030 on the dot. Everyone was professional. I have no complaints. I didn’t have the same experience as everyone else. There are scheduled breaks, but this is very well advertised and people were still working while others took a break. Everyone was working diligently.🍀

If you come prepared with everything the list tells you to bring you'll be set.
And when making your appointment you should probably avoid scheduling a Monday. Always do it as early as possible in the morning for the appointment, you may even be able to get it done early to.

I have seen a lot of bad reviews so I am writing one to give my experience. I arrived before my appointment time and was seen right away. The team is extremely professional and has a great system in place. It took me about 1 hour to process my car for shipment and that included Inspection time. Show up with your vehicle clean, with less than 1/4 of a tank and you will be fine and of course show up on time. Great team, great service, professional and friendly! I Hope the Dallas VPC is a great as the Honolulu one! Thank you!

My experience at this VPC was very straight forward. I made sure my car was as clean as possible, I had all my documentation beforehand, and that I arrived before my appointment time. Everybody there seemed to be in a good mood and I had zero issues with the inspection or administrative processing prior. It really was that easy. I spent just under 40 minutes conducting a drop-off.

For people dropping off vehicles, here is my advice. The vehicle needs to be washed and vacuumed prior to arriving. Spend the time getting all the carpet and inside the compartments (Spare tire, storage, etc) and you'll be fine. The exterior needs to be free of debris and clean. It doesn't have to be polished to a showroom finish to pass. Gunk and road grime need to be cleaned off.

The paperwork that is needed is all on the website. Print it out and complete it all prior to arrival. Bring single sided copies of orders that they can take and it will save that much more time.

If you arrive prior to them opening, they will come out a few minutes early to have people start signing in. Walk-ins will be seen after everybody else. If you have an appointment, you'll get seen in the order they are scheduled. They currently only allow one person in at a time. Additional people will need to stay in the waiting area if they wish to stay. The waiting area is now covered and they have bathrooms available that are clean and air conditioned outside. Truthfully, there isn't enough room for everybody to be inside with their friends or family and 1 person per vehicle is plenty when you have cars moving all over the place and inspections going on.

What else can I say. Be an adult. Get in. Have your stuff. Follow instructions. Get out.

Absolutely loved the people and customer service here!! They were amazing.

I went through everything on the website and had all my paperwork completed and prepared, as well as my car detailed a couple days prior to my appointment. I think it took approximately 45 minutes and they accepted my car with no issues.
Staff seemed friendly, and I discussed with them the negative reviews and worry about being rejected and needing a new appointment. They stated they have stuff there if people need it to help them pass inspection.

After getting an appointment this process was quick. I had the first appointment in the day, at 7 am. Show up early and line up on the right side of the gate, this cuts down on wait times after they open. The staff was friendly and helpful. Make sure you follow everything they request on the website and don't forget about the 1/4 tank or less, they will turn you around. Only thing I would do different is throw an air tag in my truck.

Delta delays resulted in me rebooking a pickup time. However, as it was last minute, I would have waited 5 days. My wife read these reviews and decided that we would do a walk in. She dropped me off at 6:50 am. I was 7th on the walk-in list. I was told that nothing is promised for walk-ins. Everyone was super friendly and polite. At 0830 my name was called and I was driving out 10 minutes later. These folks were excellent! I wouldn't recommend a walk-in for a drop off as I believe that is a lot more detailed process. But for pick-up, they were awesome.

Great service. We had an appointment for a pick up and it went smoothly. Don't do a walk in, just make an appointment and it will go smoothly.

As a walk in, you are NOT guaranteed to be seen. They make that very clear if you do not have an appointment. However, if you get there right before they open at 7AM, more than likely you will get an opportunity to pick up/drop off your vehicle. I waited about 2 hours as a walk in to get seen because appointments are priority. The customer service was excellent and the staff made sure I was taken care of.

Bring the original vehicle inspection form and a valid ID and you'll be in and out in under 45 minutes. Be thorough when looking over the vehicle as you will only have 48 hours to report damages.
