Join the club or waste $00's!! The discounts for Safeway Club Members are excellent. We either walk there and catch a cab home for our 2 week shop or you can also catch the bus but it wouldn't be good with ice cream. A huge range of foods of course and if you buy 6 bottles of wine there is a discount too. Manager's specials in the meat department are worth looking for and the sweet corn quality and pricing when its on special is great. Staff are friendly and the service desk will ring a cab for you.

A great alternative grocery store to Waikiki Market for those on the Diamond Head side of Waikiki. I like the savings you can get on their app. Safe, walkable area with good sidewalks and biki stations. I LOVE the flower selections here and they have lots of flower bouquet gift items like vases and stuffed animals.

Nice, clean and very organized grocery store. As a turists we find everything we needed.

Thank you to the morning managers that was working on 10/19/23 I wasn't able to get there names but much appreciation n aloha to you both who helped me cuz I was moody n inpatient but they hopped right on it n served me great customer service n attitude approach to situation was on point 10 star n God bless you all in Jesus name

Great find on an expensive trip!
Safeway is very well maintained and will save you a lot of money IF you go to the service desk and ask for a club member card, it's free!
There is a food court and a Starbucks inside.
You can take the elevator to the parking lot on top of the store to take some pretty nice pictures of Honolulu!
Also just about a hundred yards away is the famous Leonard's Bakery, a MUST visit!
The only shock that we saw was a gallon of milk $5.49 to $8.99!
And seedless watermelon $1.49 A POUND! We placed a mellon on the scales, it was a little over 24 pounds. That comes out to $36.00!
DOLE should plow their pineapples under and start growing Watermelons!

Customer service excellent, very big grocery store, same street Kapahulu, will take you to Waikiki beach with some stop or browse shops!

Absolutely excellent deli. They serve the freshest sushi and Asian influenced food. You wouldn't expect that from a Safeway deli but this place is excellent!

Awesome tacos. Loved their food and quality is great. They make ‘em fresh and they make ‘em fast.

Always clean, very helpful and happy employees every time. Parking downstairs can get kind of full but if you’re in a rush, there is ample parking upstairs and both elevator and stairs to take you to ground floor. Their sanitation supplies are always refilled and there’s rarely any shortage of food supplies. Once in awhile the lines can get pretty long, but I’d say that’s the same no matter what Safeway you go to.

The current status of this Safeway would be considered "under construction". I work the evening shift at a nearby restaurant so I'm usually there at an hour approaching midnight. The gentlemen working to give the store a face-lift look seemingly intimidating, but I needed their help to get milk in the middle of their revamp of the dairy section. They were more than happy to assist me at the late hour as their renovation work is done solely overnight. Their Aloha spirit and outstanding assistance in getting my groceries in the middle of working on their project was amazing. Safeway staff is just as attentive and overwhelmingly friendly. The revamped could be a bit more clear, but my experience at this store has been nothing but stress-free during every visit!

Our local store always greets me by name with a smile. Always great savings when you use just 4 U with your Safeway app. Don't shop hungry! Grab a poke bowl in the back of the store first.

Great location, variety is vast, fresh tuna poke with all marinades (tried all varieties), delicious edamame, especially spicy at the same counter. Very friendly staff! Good selection of wines compared to closer ABC stores. For coffee lovers Starbucks on premises.

Love this Safeway it's better then the Beretaina location nicer and great place to shop!!!!!!!!

Beautiful and the best Safeway on the Island of Oahu. Selection of vegetables, fruits and meat overall fantastic.
No update as of September 2023 except all more expensive, get you Safeway discount card with local ID for some savings, parking in front or upper deck.
