Uptown Cafe

Loved the stuffed mushrooms and side of blackened chicken I had last night. Very tasty and delicious. Server was great and very attentive to our group !

My wife and I stopped him on a date night to have a cocktail. We were both overly impressed with the environment and the cocktails. This is one of the places that has still kept a reasonable price point on some good craft cocktails. Can't wait to go back there for dinner

Food and drinks are delicious! Their cocktails are unique. Great Service. Not necessarily kid friendly as they don't have a kid's menu. But you can ask them to make something off menu using the ingredients they have on hand. They are accommodating. We'll be back again.

Went for lunch with friends on a Saturday. Everyone got something different and everyone raved about their choices. Delicious food and friendly, attentive service. After several disappointing experiences at other local places that “used to be good”, this was a breath of fresh air. We will definitely be back.

I really love what Uptown did to the place with their remodel. It feels much more modern now. We had dinner there and the food was very good. The service at the bar was also really good, friendly bartenders which is a plus. It's an older crowd that does here, but I would recommend it for younger diners, as well. Keep on doing what you are doing!

Great atmosphere, service and the food was delicious! My glass of water was never empty and our waitress Ashley was phenomenal. I’m a vegetarian and they had so many options on the menu. I had the vegetable stir-fry with fried tofu and it was so good [Pictured below]. It is a tad on the pricey side but you get big portions with lots of flavor. The clientele was older but it was not a problem.

During a last minute change of plans I walked into the Uptown Cafe. It’s such a charming place! I was quickly greeted by Michael and Micah. They are very friendly and accommodating. The salad I ordered was fresh and delicious!

One of my favorite restaurants in Louisville. Very cute, classy, and romantic atmosphere, perfect for a date night. The fried green tomatoes were okay, but the lemon chicken pasta was fantastic and the beef tenderloin dinner was phenomenal. Prices were reasonable.

Great dinner for 5 at classic Louisville Bardstown road location. I think reasonably priced too our tab included bar drinks and a nice bottle of red wine. I enjoyed very nicely cooked grilled salmon, wasabi potent to my liking ( if you have a wasabi limit, mention that to your server so they can dial it back for you ) something for everyone as chicken livers salad, burger, chicken piccata also enjoyed at our table. Sever Marty could not be more helpful knowledgeable entertaining. Well done Uptown! Hope to be back again soon

First time for lunch. Bisque was great. Basa fish, seafood pasta were really good. Definitely going back. Wait staff very nice.

Great dining. Uptown has been in business for years due to the great food and atmosphere. The menu has many options, but all of those options have a delicious variation, grilled salmon with Wasabi infused soy sauce avant garde, highlighting the dish. New special entrees weekly/monthly will make a revisit appealing. The bar is well stocked and specialty cocktails are well designed, or you can choose from the wine/beer lists.

My husband and I were in the area and decided to come to Uptown Cafe for lunch. Although it was almost closing time, Jon-Mark, the General Manager welcomed us. We were not rushed. Our waitress was amazing and the food was delicious.
We would definitely be back!

I enjoy coming to this place for the food and atmosphere. The pork chop and fish tacos are both solid options. The prices are decent too. A great stop on Bardstown road.

Love the chicken liver salad, plenty of pecan encrusted chicken livers surrounded by various greens and apple slices. I never get tired of the flavor.
We also had the lunch version of the salmon patty plate, crispy on the outside and moist inside.
We love the ambience where you can hear each other speak and not be blown out by loud music.

Had the Mixed Greens Fruit Salad with melted Gouda, It was Awesome, I killed it! Sarah was very professional and informative with a great vibe!!"

Bridget was absolutely wonderful. Even though I was a Lone Ranger, she took my takeout order and prepared the finest Coffee I have had in years, while I waited!

The first clue that this place is amazing is everyone over 75 comes here dressed to the 9’s. If you want a kid free night go here, it’s quiet, every waiter we’ve ever had is so kind and funny. The food is always some of the best I’ve ever eaten. Favorite place in Louisville

We had great wine and very nice food.

A staple in my family since the 1980s. A Louisville gem to locals and tourists. The server was attentive and timely. She was interactive and spoke to us not at us. The restaurant was clean and minimalist. The food was clearly homemade, the dessert (devils food cake) icing was very obviously homemade and tasted like I made it myself. Light fluffy whipped potatoes and a pleasantly surprising vegetable medley that was again, made in the kitchen and sizable. Portions were large for each plate we had. No complaints only praises. I would pay to go again.

Low key place to enjoy food and company. Service was great and dishes was affordable.
