Blue Crab Restaurant

We went to The Blue Crab today for the first time and had a great experience. The restaurant was busy and understaffed, but the servers handled it very well. We were pleased with all the food and definitely plan on returning. The fries that came with our fish and chips were light and delicious! The fried cod, oysters and seared tuna were cooked properly. The crab bites were fantastic and we also enjoyed the mahi and shrimp tacos. If you’re looking for a casual restaurant with good seafood this one checks all the boxes!

Going to give food 5 stars because all our meals were excellent. The only complaint was the calamari appetizer ($11). It was overcooked and rubbery.
Waitress was excellent!

I've only tried lunch but it's my go to.best meal in west point in my opinion.

This is a perfect little restaurant in West Point, VA. The food was all excellent! I got shrimp poboys, and my wife got she crab soup and Buffalo shrimp. Mmmmm! The young lady that waited on us was also the hostess, and I think the only waitress. She was very attentive and extremely sweet. Would definitely recommend this place!

Great, laid back spot. My BFF and I sampled far too many of their delicious bites: crab dip (THOSE CHIPS!), crab bites, fish and chips and shrimp tacos. Yummy. Can't wait to get back. Service was so nice, attentive and just great. New favorite Friday night hang out.

Best shrimp ever! Steamed or fried! Generous portions. Prices are what you pay for fresh seafood. We enjoy the laid back atmosphere. And miss this restaurant when we are not in the area.

Taylor took such good care of us, from her initial greeting with a huge smile to the point we were leaving and she was wishing us a wonderful afternoon. She asked good questions and made great recommendations. Oh, and the food was fabulous! Yay chef!!! The hush puppies are a masterpiece and the dipping butter is amazing. The Ahi tuna was delicious and it was the best SheCrab soup I've ever eaten!

I will come back over and over. Fantastic food and service. The shrimp and grits were perfect. The Brussels sprouts were incredible and the corned beef hash was excellent. I'll try everything on this menu

My favorite are the Mahi Tacos, Jimmy loves to go on Thursday for the AYCE steamed shrimp. Either way the food is always great and the stafff very friendly! Highly recommend!

A fantastic and quaint seafood restaurant nestled in the town of West Point. I came during an off time and the experience was still quite delightful. The servers were very attentive and the food all tasted great and fresh. From the appetizers to the main course was nice, fresh, and crisp. Be sure to visit during their specials for an all you can eat shrimp that come fresh off the steamer!

I got the Fried Chicken entrée this evening, I really enjoyed it. Quite sweet to be honest but a good sweet, the potatoes were fantastic and the broccoli was cooked just right. If you're out that way I definitely recommend the blue crab, our waitress was absolutely amazing and answered all of our questions. Definitely want to go back!

Drove to West Point from Chesterfield to look around and have lunch. Great local spot. Good Po Boys.

Good food. Great service. Carrot cake was divine. Steamed shrimp very good and the pulled pork was on point. Definitely recommend if you're passing through.

Never had a po'boy before but this was absolutely delicious. Shrimp and everything fresh with a soft bun.

Our server had an excellent personality and was a delight. My cousin had Brussels sprouts, which we learned were a best seller, and crabbites. My other cousin devoured the shrimp basket. The poke bowl was excellent . . . with plenty left for dinner.

It is a local restaurant the dinning experience here is consistently exceptional, no matter what dish you choose. As a regular patron, I have had a majority of their menu, and I can confidently say that every item is superb.

Personally, I enjoy dipping their delectable fries into their mouthwatering sauce. Among my personal favorites are the tantalizing Brussels sprouts, the mouthwatering burger, and the unforgettable Nashville chicken sandwich. Each of these dishes is crafted with care, and their flavors never fail to impress.

Not to be outdone, my husband is an avid fan of the crab cake sandwich, which he claims is a true culinary masterpiece. The freshness and quality of the ingredients shine through, making every bite a moment to savor.

I really like Blue Crab Restaurant but I wish they had more seafood. It seems like for a place named Blue Crab, there would be more options. I will highly commend the waitress who managed to wait on the whole restaurant by herself. The service was really good considering the amount of staff. The She Crab Soup is absolutely amazing. Also the shrimp po boy is very good. I'll certainly visit again.

Everything was great. We got everything with crab, and the chicken and waffles ☺ Nothing disappointed. And even though it was busy, and there were only two servers, the service was on point. I highly recommend Blue Crab.
