Old Timer Restaurant

The new Old Timer's is a GREAT restaurant that nobody seems to go to. I have been a pretty regular patron for the last year, and the food and service are fantastic! The menu is a GREAT improvement over the previous owner's, and the food is well-prepared and presented, and absolutely delicious! Portions are generous (I can get at least two meals from the chicken parmesan - and it's wonderful), and the staff happily packs up left-overs. Bar service is great and pours are very generous as well. If you haven't been, go! If you haven't been lately, go! You don't know what you are missing!

I’ve been here several times now over the course of 6 months and I have always had a delicious meal. The decor is a bit dated but, you can not beat the great food, the friendly servers, and the dinner prices. Fantastic. Keep producing quality dishes and I’ll be there. Thanks.

Every time I have gone to the Old Timers, I have had a great experience! The food has been excellent!! I have been there at least a half a dozen times and have not had a bad meal! The service was very good, very friendly ,efficient and the atmosphere is pleasant, I love it there!! Their salads are exceptional, you can’t go anywhere and get a better salad! The portions are unbelievable the flavor is delicious😁😋

I've been having lunches at the Old Timer for almost 20 years. The food, though simple, is always good.
I love the corned beef or Thanksgiving wrap. Service is usually fast and friendly. I can get in and out during the noon hour. Prices are reasonable. Booths make for easy conversation. Sometimes there is a special event, and they serve walk-ins in the bar.
If you prefer national chain restaurants without local flavor, you may not like the Old Timer. I wish them good luck and hope that they are around for a long while.

It's back and the new owners have done an amazing job, enjoyed dinner here on a busy Friday evening. Being a new restaurant you'd expect a few hiccups, but the wait staff did a great job balancing many large groups. Food was excellent, and all came out at the right time. Very well done!

What a great place to gather with family and friends. Full disclosure, I am in Sons of Blarney, an Irish band that plays Irish favorites at Old Timer so I might not be completely unbiased. The restaurant has a pub feel with an edge of chic. Think crystal chandeliers and elegant food presentation mixed with home town hospitality.

We used to visit the Old Timer regularly back in the summer of 1975 when we were based in Westminster on a project with DEC. What a great place, great food and the best of staff. We introduced live music to the bar and a group of us used to play every Friday night, Jimmy (chef) would always give a rendition while carving the roast beef.

A long standing real time bar in downtown Clinton. Famous for the authentic atmosphere and dacor.
It lives up to this reputation with a delicious menu offering appetizers to main meal items. The nachos were loaded and filling with a twist on add in chicken. Sky high burgers cooked to perfection with hand cut fries. The Risotto again done perfect with real Parmesan flavor in a creamy sauce loaded up vegetables in excellent combination.
Good beer and wine offerings , attentive friendly service it all adds up to a memorable visit.

Had an excellent dinner at Old Timer last night. Food and service were both outstanding. Not to be compared to what it was years ago, this new “Old Timer” has a fresh menu with lots of new choices and way better food. I would definitely recommend you check this place out

My favorite spot in Clinton. Great history to the restaurant and vintage photographs in the main hallway. Awesome team working the bar. Awesome Danny Boy burger! Try it with a side of Russian dressing.

Excellent food and service. Prices were very reasonable. Drinks were priced below what we expected. Wife's dirty martini was only $8.

Food and service were spot on although we did come at a slow period. Couple dishes we had were well done, chicken parm sauce was sweet I like it and great taste with the chicken alfredo.

Lunch specials for $9.99. Chicken picatta w/artichokes & capers was good. Place looks really clean and bright. Serve good.

Really nice, quiet bar with a beautiful dinning room in the back. Great menu, and the 'small' salads are huge!

This is a great, straightforward local hangout. It's a comfortable place to stay, and they pour a mean Guinness.
