Perfect little neighborhood bar and grill. I grew up here in arrowhead and it was cool (for me) to see all the memorabilia and street name inspired food and entrees. Very attentive bartender and awesome cook. Made my steak bites perfect. Give it a shot and definitely try the shrimp too.

Best local bar in Kempsville! Great food, terrific service. The spot is a nice, homey local place. Lots of neighborhood people frequent this establishment. The food is really outstanding, even more so for a small place. Always a culinary school graduate staffing the kitchen. If you do go, order of the specials board as the chef always has something special for you. If you stick with the menu, the ahi bites are super popular. Great breakfast on the weekends that usually have Eggs Benedict

Food and atmosphere are both incredible. Our waitress was very attentive and kind and our food was brought out quickly. Everything was correct and tasted great! I had the Chippewa chicken sandwich and jalapeno hush puppies and recommend both. The cafe is comfortable and everyone is very friendly.

04JAN22 ~ I had a wonderful dining experience with my oldest brother, this is his favorite 'go to' restaurant. This hidden gem in the Kempsville area is locally & family owned. It has a friendly, non-pretentious atmosphere. We went there for the Tuesday night 'Shrimp Special'. It was great. The shrimp were plentiful, large, tasty, and perfectly cooked. It comes with melted butter for dipping & cocktail sauce. The hush puppies & Cole slaw were also excellent. Our waitress, Stefanie, was everything I would want in a waitress. She was genuinely friendly with a warm smile, she was articulate/well spoken, helpful, and came by at just the right times, not too much & not too little. The prices were exceptionally reasonable. Whenever I go to visit my family in Virginia Beach we always eat there at least once per visit.

The food was great and the atmosphere as well as the staff were so kind, service was great. Had a very coastal vibe and enjoyed all the VB/Kempsville memorabilia.

This might be a neighborhood bar and grill but the food is great! Fresh seafood that won't break the bank like the Tuna bites is our favorite! From tacos to fresh-cut fries there is definitely something for everyone here. They are also open for breakfast on the weekend. Definitely one to try if your in the area.

Great place to get some good food from a locally owned restaurant. Their portions are pretty large and tastes really good. The seating doesn't handle a huge crowd but that's a good thing.

The food was the best bar food around!! Hot, fresh, excellent serving size and VERY tasty. Service was friendly and fast. Clean inside, perfect temperature and the regulars are friendly!!

This is a great little spot. Staff is super friendly. Billie was my bartender and was fantastic. She gave some advice with the menu. Ended with the Reuben which was awesome. All the food that came out looked great. It was the chef's birthday and they gave me some cake. Can't ask for much more. Must try. They have brunch on Sundays also.

It was Philly beef steak, grilled O's, mozzarella, marinara & pepperoni on a garlic toasted roll.

I got mine without the onions.
(We would have loved more buttery garlic on the inside of the bread, but that is a personal preference)
Hubbys Tatar Tots were cooked perfect.
His chili mac n cheese was good.
The regular Mac n cheese was a little dry. Once I added milk, extra cheese & pepper it was good to go.

Would definitely order the sub again!💖🥖

First timer on Sunday 6/18/23 with my boyfriend Jeff. Great hangout for locals, VERY friendly group. Attentive service and reasonable prices. I enjoyed the fish & chips for $17. Cod was lightly breaded and very light and flaky. Jalapeno hush pups were the bomb! We'll be back

I went there Tuesday night with a friend and we both got the steamed shrimp dinner with a glass of Chardonnay-$20. The shrimp was delicious and such a reasonable price . This is a fun place to go to hang out at and eat. This was my 4th visit, there will be many more.

We have simply never ordered a bad meal from here. Recently, we moved in around the corner from this gem ... and we are glad we did. We keep coming back and the meals are consistently delicious. Honestly the best steamed shrimp that I've had in Hampton roads (and I've been to all of the oceanfront "locals favorites"). The club and rueben are incredible too.

This place has great food an as you can see huge shrimp and on Tuesdays all day long ya pound of shrimp is only $14.00. We have had many good meals here. There burgers, tuna bites are the best I have ever had and there fried pork chop sandwich is fantastic

Had a wonderfully down home brunch. The menu is fairly standard brunch fare, but all of the food that I tried was delicious. It's also worth noting that everyone was extremely friendly, there is a very "favorite local watering hole" feel, which I happen to greatly enjoy, AND to top it off the prices were extremely low.

Campy, gritty, out in the parking lot. Steak appetizer and steamed shrimp were both fantastic. We plan to go every time we go to VA beach.
