Providence Forge Ace Hardware

Prices are a little higher than I would prefer but it is a hardware store in the middle of nowhere so that's to be expected for the convenience. I wish they had some carts for the heavier items but 90% of their products will fit in the hand baskets they have. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Only place in town and in Quinton that had my “Two Old Goats” product. My doctor recommended it for sore joints and body aches this is the place to get it for sure!!

I love Ace HW and I will shop here before either of the two big box home improvement stores. I can still get what I need here at around the same prices. They have a great general selection, good automotive fluids section, and the best part is that they sell gravel, sand, and lumber! Not to mention other landscape materials.

My original review is down below now that this store turned into an Ace hardware. Huge improvement to the layout of the store, and of course the inventory now is massive. Big Green egg, smoker accessories, barbecue grills, all of this didn't exist before Ace took the store over. Ace actually expanded this building externally, but the biggest changes are internal. The selection now is pretty massive and I like the new layout of the store. Yes you're going to pay more for some items, some are more reasonable than others. But with gas approaching $3.50 a gallon now it's pretty expensive to drive to Home Depot for something you can get here locally if you live here.

Original review: In typical small town hardware store fashion, they're not always going to have what you need. But they do have a pretty good selection given their size. Locally they are the only game in town. Prices are mostly reasonable, but there are certain things that are going to be quite expensive versus the big box stores and that is to be expected. Given the fact that it's 30 minutes in either direction to a big box, I'm happy they're here.

Great little store! The staff is very helpful. AND, on the day we were there, they had free hot dogs and hamburgers and flags in honor of Memorial Day weekend.

Great suggestions and advice given by even better neighbors! Prices are reasonable and they stock more or less everything you need for most routine home projects. They aren't the cheapest in town so you might pay a little more for an item but the incredible customer service and sense of ownership each employee has to me more than covers the dollar or two price difference between them and a big box store.

This is a very well stocked hardware store. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Definitely a first stop whenever I have a project.

Stopped in to have some keys made ...the staff was very helpful, kind and efficient...I've lived in Charles City 20 years and didn't know this store was here! I'll definitely be back for all of my ""Hardware " needs! Ty!

For those people who have never been there. This business is the best. They have a little bit of everything and priced right. You don't need the big box stores.

I mainly go there when I need specific pieces of hardware (nuts, bolts, etc). In my opinion, they have the largest amount of that stuff. They always have what I need. It is an honor system to tell them what prices are, so that could be improved to keep them from being ripped off.

Very lucky to have such a GEM in P.F.! They have everything you need and, a ton of items that you wouldn't expect to find in a "hardware" store. All the employees are very helpful and knowledgeable. Additionally, the owner is a Stihl expert. Old, new, modified, off the wall, she'll get your Stihl product running at peak performance in no time!!!

Great store. It's hard to find what you need in a rural area but they always seem to have it.
