2 stars for a few inbetween you see each case is unique and listens to others with concern. Everything seems too bias against men especially black men. Experience tells all. I've been arrested on a warrant I already went to court for and dismissed. Sat me in my driveway in front of my neighbors being rude and and uncaring of the fact that that warrants was illegitimate and old. Not my fault but one white cop was over aggressive and wanting to search everything even the other black cop was embarrassed at the unprofessionalism of his fellow white primer. Anyways I filled a complaint for harassment oh and did I say the also served my vehicle unlawfully..ive had yes terrible experiences

Saw a nice photo inviting me to contact the Chief...had an inquiry about a family member on NPD for 20+ years....but got passed off to the asst of the asst...so much for actually contacting the Chief. Obviously his invite to contact him is quite bogus as you get the run around and interrogated by other people whom I don't even know if they work in his dept....feels like a cover up to protect their own. They didn't sound too interested in my issue at hand which was very serious. They didn't even call me back as promised....!

I had the pleasure of meeting a gentleman at the LA Quinta in Norfolk. He drove a black truck. Unmarked. And I assume he was answering a complaint there. My husband and I just pulled into the hotel. At that time we had a tralor hooked to our truck that we brought from N.C. for our son in the navy. Any way, it took some doing for my husband to get it out of the road because there were cars parked in the drop off part. But it managed to get in the parking lot without problem. As he is checking in this man pulls up in his personal truck screaming at me to move the truck because we were in the road. So I get out to move it and see that we are not in the road. We are completely in the parking lot of the hotel. As he is still pointing his finger at me and telling me that I will move this truck, and he is putting his hand on what I assume is his weapon. I of coarse get furious. And of coarse I am trying to explain the situation. He then proceeds to tell me that I will move this truck out of this lot. Now I do get irate, this truck with trailer hooked to it would be dangerous for me to attempt to move. The parking lot was full. And no thru way around the building. The guy in the hotel, a private detective, extremely kind, explains to this man that there were others there before us that obviously blocked the in road. I am not sure exactly. With all of the problems with police, and citizen relationships I can now see some of the issues. He had no right, and he immediately set me off. He needs some management of his behavior. I do not appreciate a cop treating me like that and so blatantly disrespectful. He will run up on the wrong one I am afraid. I love my country, and law enforcement keeping us safe and free. But he needs to find another profession. There is no sense in this kind of behavior from any person in an authority possition. ( I never got his name) I think the hotel guy called him sarge? I am sure the hotel gentleman would know his name. He did run my husbands tag. And I do admit to my terrible behavior. It is very out of character for me. I am more upset the he basically provoked such a reaction from me. Can't imagine how it may have turned out if I had been someone else.

Not impressed. Called to speak to Chief and had a older disabled person answer the phone and could not help me at all. So with all the crime that's going on in Norfolk, guess I have a better understanding as to WHY they can't get a handle on it!!! VERY SAD
