If you’re looking for good Jamaican food in Petersburg you might want to try this first! I mean where do I start.. This was some of the best jerk chicken I’ve had. The chicken was smoked to perfection. The sauce was flavorful with a spicy kick, but not too hot. And that coco bread was soo delicious.

The food here is amazing! If you are looking for a great authentic Jamaican spot this is the place to go. I definitely recommend the Pepper Steak with Rice and cabbage

The place is a cute family friendly restaurant. We ordered a small ox tails and a small curry chicken with red beans and rice, warm coco bread and cabbage. The small was enough to eat off twice. Everything was seasoned properly and the meats were very, very tender. The entire meal was delicious.

My husband and I were only in the area for 1 night. So many food choices and we chose here. Pulling up to the place had me doubt my decision for a second. Glad I stuck with it. Food was completely amazing and delicious!

Amazing. Food is hot and fresh and tasty delicious, no kidding. Place isn't fancy, but the food is great! I would rather have nice food than a nice building if I had to pick. I got the lunch special, stew chicken, comes with delicious lemonade.

The food is good. They have all the traditional Jamaican food. They are friendly and welcoming. Fast service.

Absolutely love this little place, eventhough all I have is cabbage, rice and peas and the gravy from the curry it's Absolutely amazing.

Staff was so friendly , food was so tasty and prices were reasonable , definitely will recommend!

I have been to this restaurant two times and both times I received good customer service and delicious food. The curry goat extra nice , the oxtail taste just as good as it does in Jamaica and the jerk chicken is really jerk chicken not dem weird American ‘jerk chicken’ . I would recommend this restaurant to everyone who likes great food .

Great food and large portion! I had the small curry chicken and it's enough to share with someone. The food is seasoned well and cooked well. I would definitely recommend!

Well I would like to say I usually love their food but yesterday my food was spoiled.. I told the owner she said that I set my food out too long it's only been an hr and a half.. I cater food and also know how to cook Jamaican food I don't think it should spoil that soon unless it's been sitting out before I got it. she said that I needed my receipt to get my money back but she didn't give me one... I did sign a receipt because I used my card...she then said ma'am it's just food...I told her that I love my Jamaican food and it's my money I spent... my food had a creamy sauce that was brown/grey and really thick sour tasting... The rice was mushy like they cooked it with the chicken or maybe it was jus old... I began gagging because it taste really sour...and I thought about the horrible bad plumbing smell that the restaurant had it made me think the smell had something to do with it. I know spoiled food... I told my children don't eat it because I purchased all of us food so I wouldn't have to cook I still ended up going to food lion and cooking for them which is the best decision I've made... I asked did they have a new chef she said no it's the same chef but idk why she can't admit that the food she gave me had a change in taste.. the food had a really bad odor... It's my loss i just want others to know what I experienced... I usually love it but they messed me up... I feel like the earlier you get Caribbean kitchen the fresher the food will be... If u get their late it you may get leftovers...

I asked for the small plate and there was so much food!! Great taste. The counter help was very friendly. The only thing I didn't like was I couldn't tell if my chicken was thigh, back or who knows what part... I like being able to tell what part I am putting in my mouth.

I have been to this location several times and the food is pretty amazing.

Great food, I ordered the curry chicken, and it is very good, and they give generous portions of all of it. Will be back to try more dishes.

Stopped here on our way south. Food is delicious — ordered oxtail platter and a jerk chicken platter. Their rice & beans are the best I’ve EVER had and tasted — the hint of coconut flavor sets it apart from any other. If you’re ever in the area or passing through…do yourself a favor and stop by. Your taste buds and stomach will be amazed.

Atmosphere would be 5 stars but they are rebuilding n expanding... So when that done 5 stars across the board!!

Curry goat 🐐 & jerk chicken

Wow, the curry chicken w rice and beans was phenomenal. Too bad I live 40 minutes away. Luckily family lives right next door so I’ll be heading here for a treat hopefully everytime. Also, I was happy it wasn’t spicy because I didn’t think of it for my wife. But she loved it so if you want spicy, you’re going to have to ask!!
