What's not to like?
Coastal Cafe is awesome, Jax Place for the younger crowd or a rowdier night (pool, shuffleboard, darts), Food Lion is always staffed with extremely helpful and friendly folk - even if they aren't as well stocked as Kroger.
Great, convenient neighborhood shopping.

This particular business is just a fine wonderful place. They hit my brother and I have been coming here for almost 25 years. My brother more than I have because he lives right up the street with MS pat. As soon as I walked in they asked me if I needed any help. The place was clean the folks are just wonderful this is what customer service is all about they know your name they didn't know mine of course but they knew my brother and I just had to play it. It is just wonderful everyone in there was just wonderful and helpful a place was clean the bathroom was clean I highly recommend when you come to the Kempsville area you stop in and you say hello and let them know that family of did Mr Dave and Eddie shop stop by with that said Thank you continue to hit that like button subscribe and hit me up on Tick Tock Scuzbag 4 thank you have a great day bye.

I love shopping at Food Lion. It's always clean and the people are so nice.

The staff & associates are friendly at Food Lion. There's a Chinese food place called Jumbo, not bad. Coastal Cafe is a down to earth bar. Good times. Great Friends, beer & decent prices!!

I go to Kempsville plaza shopping center for the best Oriental takeout food ever. I have been ordering from Jumbo Chinese for at least 12 years. Even when I moved to NC every time I went in to Virginia Beach I always ordered from Jumbo.Chinese. I am thrilled to be moving back and happy to be able to order from these wonderful people!!!

I went in to get Ice cream for my Sister's Birthday Party.

Great local grocery store. My only complain and it's with all Food Lions. There is always a considerable wait time at check out which creates a mess as people are in lines while others are cutting in and out trying to get to the next isle as they shop. So no room for social distancing. I realize this is a company issue because all stores have this issue. Need to be fixed.

They have an entire interior wall dedicated for any and all Kempsville High School students to sign. If you went to Kempsville High School cone sign their wall.
The people there are so friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed and very comfortable.
The food is terrific too! A great menu with lots of variety! Loved it!!

I was pleasantly surprised that everything was recently stocked so i had first pick at the freshest produce. I was also able to find things that were usually out of stock of. Good trip to the grocery!

I grew up right down the street. There is a Food Lion, a couple of bars/lounges, a nail salon, a martial arts training class, and a Dollar General. There might be other places that I just can't remember off the top of my head. If you just need groceries, personal items or small household items Kempsville Plaza will have what you need. I really like the fact that there is a Dollar Dollar General right next door to the Food lion.

Its would be easy to give food lion a less than 5 star rating but nobody was ready for covid-19 but they work hard to get what we need to us. They're a smaller store so you understand how hard they work, can't complain.

Easy access from several main roads from Norfolk and Va Beach. There's a Pizza Hut, banks a Food Lion and other cool stores. There is a gas station that is super easy to access without a hassle from traffic. And the strip mall across the street has great stores and restaurants as well.

This food lion has great people and I just the people work there very much. they always go out of there way to make you feel like your part of a family store

Everything you need in one place! From grocery store, to Dollar General, to bars/restaurants, everything for everyone! Perfectly located at the front of two neighborhoods on one side of Kempsville!!! Jax Place and Coastal Cafe are locals favorites for bar and food!

I stopped here to get rotisserie chicken and artisan bread to my sick family in Chesapeake. They were very kind!

I hate Kempsville always have. I used to live at the Oceanfront. Easy access to everything. Not up here in Kempsville. Swimming in the Ocean great fun! More freedom to do as a person wants.

This Food Lion has very friendly staff. The fruits and vegetables were fresh. The staff continues to practice safe distancing and mask wearing.
