Red Roof Inn Virginia Beach

Better than your average 50$ hotel room ( club member price).

I've been here for 2 weeks. I'm looking for an apartment. I moved from the LaQuinta down the street. (Please check out my review of the LaQuinta on Newtown Rd in Virginia Beach, VA. Don't go there. Save money and stay here)

At this Red Roof Inn, the people are great and the rooms are comfortable. If you are allergic to their washing chemicals, they will let you wash your own linens. I had to do this.

I suggest a room with a microwave and fridge if you're staying for longer than a weekend.

It's not fancy, but for 50$ it's more than I expected. Please remember that it's a motel-style hotel. My cat has been staring a the ceiling for a week. She can hear the people upstairs.

This is also a favorite place for an overnight stay or even a stay over work week. The staff are absolutely the best. Doesn't matter what it is or what time it is they gotcha. The rooms are always clean. The location is five star all the way. Rite on the on ramp to 264 and rite in the center of the seven cities. There's not a place in Hampton roads that you can't get to in a short few minutes from this location. If your coming to visit or even local just looking to get away for the night, this is the spot. Top golf is literally walking distance from the hotel. If that doesn't seal the deal for your next hotel booking in the 757 something is just wrong.

My sister and I stayed for two nights over Labor Day weekend. This place was pretty good. Pool was nice and clean.Property was kept nice and even when they were sold out we had a parking spot in front of our room. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Refrigerator and microwave worked fine and shower water pressure was nice! Only negative in my opinion was the beds, they need a serious upgrade there and the bed covers were way too thin so bring a blanket! Ceiling also needs some work but that was just cosmetic. I would stay there again. Price was very reasonable and location close to lots of things.

Stay here a bunch with the wife as always service great and the room always clean and you can take your pet without being charge that's a A+++

Beautifully renovated. I was very surprised by this Red Roof. Our room had 'hardwood floors', modern furniture, and smelled fresh and clean. The extra outlets and good WiFi helped the three of us recharge and connect after a long day of traveling. When we came back from the beach that evening, the beds proved to be new and improved as well.

I've stayed in at least 10 different Red Roofs around the country (within the last 10 years) and never saw anything like this. We often stay in motels when road tripping, but out of the literally hundreds we visited over the years, this motel (at this location, in this particular time) is at the very top in quality of rooms.

We didn't have to deal with the front desk beyond just the check in/out, so I can't comment on the quality of service.

The shower head was clean and provides multiple settings and the water pressure was good, too.

The price cannot be beaten and location isn't bad either. It's probably going to take you 15 minutes to get to the Chic's Beach - one of the greatest beaches that are not a primary tourist attraction.

I arrived really late. The guy at the desk was really busy but very professional and helpful. I think his name was John. It seemed like he knew that hotel inside and out. The to was perfect and the price. I met the cleaning crew at checkout and they were great too This is my new fave

We booked last minute for fathers day weekend.
It was a great stay. The hotel was at capacity.
However, my family (3 y/o) was able to nap and then fall asleep at normal bedtime and stay asleep.
Short drive to the beach.

I stay here pretty much every time I have to go to Norfolk/VA Beach. The rooms are small but they aren't meant to be suites. They are perfect for businesspeople on the go to the airport; overnight stays during long road trips; or when you have to just be in Norfolk for the night. The cleanliness here is unmatched: the sheets smell and look fresh, the showers and toilets are scrubbed to perfection. You can walk barefoot in these rooms and have clean feet after. That's how clean it is. I-264 is across the street and the beach is all of 12 minutes away. We got in last night at 9:45pm and the lady at the front desk was so kind to us. Even at 3:30AM when there was a noise complaint, they were there in minutes to check it out.

tl;dr: great staff, comfortable beds/clean rooms, good location. we stay here all the time and will continue to do so!

Our stay was fairly quiet and there was plenty of parking outside the rooms (even if you're in 2nd floor, your car isn't far). The rooms were comfortable, I could easily plug in my ps3, and the bathroom and sink and tub were clean and nice. Great staff, best price that day in town.

We drove 10 hours from Cincinnati to get here and find out our original hotel we booked was over booked we drive for 2 more hours looking for hotels everyone was booked we came to red roof in and they were happy to help us with a room finally at 3 am staff has been super friendly clean rooms definitely will consider this place on our next trip. Thank you red roof in.

The staff were super friendly and helpful, the room was clean and cozy. Overall a great atmosphere for our 2 night stay!

Very clean and extremely comfortable!! Nice people at the desk. Offered great coffee, but no breakfast. Then again, for the price we paid I honestly didn't expect breakfast.

Super nice staff; fixed any problem we had quickly and correctly. Comfortable environment. Nice clean pool that was a comfortable temperature. Not far away from anything but not close to anything either.

Helped me get into my room earlier than expected due to my situation. Smelled a bit smokey but i was near the smoking area. Wonderful customer service.

I needed a place to stay. It gave me exactly what I needed! A lil sad I didn’t get a microwave or little fridge- but I got the cheapest room, which was still cozy. The staff was really nice and overall I’d stay again. 10/10

We had a great stay here. The only thing I would like to see changed is the doggie area. There is no grass in that area. Grass other areas, but not where it was needed. Still, the room was nice and the staff was nice.

Loved our stay here with my man & our pups. I accidentally left over $300 worth of jewelry & they called to let me know, I was 6 hours away & I had my sister pick them up for me.

Clean rooms and excellent staff. Especially the guy at the front desk from Ghana. I forgot his name, but I really enjoyed talking him. He was kind and a problem solver.

Best value for the money. The room smelled clean and looked spotless! Very friendly and professional staff. I will definitely book again.
