Beautiful little park with a loop trail. Great for dogs. Not so much for strollers. But there is a playground for kids and a picnic area with restroom!

This preserve is a beautiful escape in the middle of suburbia. There are several nice, short, non-technical trails with nice views of the Anclote River as well as a canoe/kayak launch and landing area. Since it also contains wetland areas, make sure to bring along some bug spray.

The only thing I wish It had a place so I could charge my ebike. Such a nice place. Very well kept. Love that I can do some fishing.

I love walking here with my dog. We've spotted rabbit droppings, a tortoise, and a red bird. I enjoy how low traffic it usually is and I hope to spot more animals as well as plants I can identify.

Diamond in the rough. This place is so natural (translation: bring your Off Bug Spray & keep your dogs on a leash) and the overgrowth is beautiful. Great for families too (playground and restrooms). We try to come every weekend.

Playground wasn't busy. Clean bathrooms and functional playground equipment. There is an Observation deck. I didn't explore today.

Great park. But the pedestrian bridge leading to the Pinellas trail is closed. Why??

Very pretty place to bike. Enjoyed being on the boardwalk. Has a dock for launching to Aclote Island. Enjoyed the delicious crab salad at the Anclote River Grill. The pita and hummus was good, too.

My (almost) 4 year old loved it, as did I. The playground was great, and they have a huge rock/ shell pile!

When we were there there were very few others visitors. The day was windy and overcast so that was not too surprising. I could say this County park was not as extensive as some of the other Pinellas County parks, although there was the nice looking play ground and a few picnic tables. There was a nice look out on a board
walk overlooking the Anclote River. Try first the other County parks. There are 21 or so, some just outstanding examples . The best ones were along the Gulf and two next to Lake Tarpon with extensive boardwalks over Lake edge , marsh and coastal wet lands with bountiful wildlife, turtles, gators , water birds and fish . Pinellas County has used its so called “Penny “ tax or 1% of the sales tax over the last 40 years or so to good effect, preserving for posterity thousands of acres of sensitive lands that would otherwise have been part of the unrelenting maul of land development. This investment has saved this area, breaking up the sprawl and allowing the land to remain natural to keep the waters far cleaner, allowing wildlife a chance to survive the urban sprawl and allowing residents and visitors a chance to enjoy nature in the midst of the megalopolis, choked with traffic and otherwise doomed by overdevelopment.

I love this place. It has pretty much everything. Picnic tables spread out and under a pavilion. Barbecue grills. Boat launch. Playground for the kids. Clean bathrooms. Riverbank fishing (brackish water). The view of the fishing and pleasure boats going in and out of the river mouth is always interesting. Dolphin sightings in the morning hours and in the afternoon coming back out of the river. And don't let me forget the beach, it is clean. Tidal currents can be strong at times, but some geriatrics use this to their advantage to exercise. 6 Stars.

A hidden gem! This large nature park features a playground, many walking trails, and a launching area for kayaks and canoes. Many hours worth of exploration! Very kid friendly.

The park itself is very small. Mainly for children. I believe it would have a limit of 5-10.
There is a trail right behind the park that takes about 45 minutes to completely explore. It leads to a deck that overlooks a small lake that is absolutely beautiful.
