Here's a great place for a short, quiet and peaceful walk in the shade, with great views and gator sightings. Unfortunately it looks like the gators are used to being fed by humans. This puts humans in danger, and well as the animals themselves. Please don't feed the wildlife!

We went today for a bit. It was too hot and buggy for us to stay very long, but the area was nice. Numerous shelters with grills, dog park, walking trail down by the water, views, restrooms, playground. We really enjoyed seeing the osprey nest and birds. It was an unexpected perk!

What a great place to just relax, walk, read a book, or simply enjoy the scenery. The view to the lake is breathtaking. It's really nice and cozy. They have places where you can separate them for birthdays, gatherings, or have a picnic with families and friends. It was calm, and the surroundings were well kept. Remember not to feed the alligators.

This park is wonderful. I love cruising my pup around and stopping in the puppy park if there are friends there. If not, we just take it slow and let my gentle giant get all the niffs. The park is well taken care of, not just by the city or whomever, but from the regular people who love and take ownership of this park. Great place to walk any animal here, but please clean up after your pet! ✌🤎

The best part of living in Pinellas County is the parks and beaches. Anderson Park located on US19 in Tarpon Springs is on Lake Tarpon. This place has everything from a dock for boats, canoes and kayaks to walking trails for you and your pets. There is an abundance of benches, pavilions with tables and grills throughout the area. You'll be guaranteed to see awesome wildlife and possibly gators so be on the lookout. It's absolutely a must see for all ages. There is a playground and public restrooms so plan on spending a few hours there. It's perfect for photos with lots of shade trees and beautiful views.

Walking trail goes along the lake’s edge, and the wooden section provides an unobstructed view of the lake. Lots of wildlife including squirrels, ducks, birds, and alligators. Every day is different at the park. Stay alert for gators. About half of the times I have visited the park, I have seen a gator and they were all in the water- none on the banks. But my head is on a swivel when walking along the trail, staying alert for all types of wildlife.
The park has a boat ramp and there is a fee for parking in the boat ramp parking lot. Vehicles with trailers must park in that lot.
The rest of the park’s parking is free.

Great park with amazing wildlife and great birding. Wonderful lakeside trail. We went there after getting doughnuts at Hole in one doughnut and had a picnic brunch at a table right on the lake. Very beautiful.

Great small park with boat ramp, small boardwalk and excellent picnic areas all on Lake Tarpon. There are wide open areas, playgrounds and a great deal of lake front. A nice place for a walk or a break from things in a wonderful setting. I really like the tables that are nestled up in the woods and right on the waters edge. You are sure to spot an alligator at this location as Lake Tarpon is known to have a large population of them. Bathrooms were clean, the visitors were polite and there is also a dog park. A little something for everyone.

The scenery is gorgeous! the little picnic areas with the barbecue grills are to live for (vs. to die for) meaning you want to revisit more often due to the cleanliness and upkeep of the public facilities and the gazebos which can be reserved ahead of time... Great for company picnics which therefore boosts employee morale post pandemic (hint hint). If you are reading this go ahead and set one up at this park, you won't be disappointed. 🏞 Don't take my word for it, see for yourself 😁

This is a wonderful place to go fishing, walking & spending time with family. Great boat launch for midsize boats and pontoon boats. Nature trails and cooking sites are well organized and well kept. Dogs are allowed if kept on a leash and there is lots of great shade provided by the trees.

I had my sons birthday party here
We rented the 1st shelter so we didn’t see all of it
I can only imagine what the rest of the park looks like . The many trees help keep the Sun down as well

Very serene looking over Lake Tarpon. Boardwalk along the water is a nice, pleasant and peaceful walk. Great place to bbq right on the waters edge with picnic tables and grills in your own secluded area.
Ample parking, dog run and play area, plenty of fishing areas and a nice boat launch area as well. Lots of picnic tables that are covered by sheltered structures for staying cool. Take Caution that Swimming is Not Recommended here though due to the amount of alligators that live in Lake Tarpon, some of which are very large in stature. The homes that surround the lake are absolutely beautiful and you can see the Tarpon Turtle from across the water. Could have spent an entire day here. Beautiful old established trees and foliage make for plenty of shaded areas to stay cool. Nice place to walk your pets. Saw a small baby gator and alot of wildlife from the boardwalk. There were a few boaters enjoying this beautiful summer day with family and friends. Great place for a family outing. Very peaceful setting. Next time we will have to come back with a boat 😆.

I absolutely loved this park. The walking trail is very short, but certainly plenty of alligators to see. It was absolutely beautiful. I walked the dogs on the side of the road around the park and up the hill (in the area of the dog park). They also have grills so you can have a nice outdoor picnic/party there as well. It's free to the public and free parking.

Is a beautiful park on lake Tarpon. Can enjoy walking, running, biking, fishing, BBQ, and just relaxing in the sunshine. You may reserve a shelter online for a fee. The shelters can definitely fit 100 guests. Restrooms are many around the park. Plenty of free parking, handicap parking,
and you can use the boat ramp by paying to park your car and trailer in the trailer lot.

Always chill and beautiful. The park is actually split in two by the main (entrance) road, with the lake to the left, and parking up the hill. There's a boardwalk as well, with gators usually floating nearby at a safe distance. The other half of the park is on the right as you drive along the entrance rd. Turn right along the entrance rs, and follow it up the hill. The huge park, with lots if parking is up there. Good little trails, and access to the lake. I don't suggest entering the water there, as gators hide. Stick to walking instead. Plenty of open space for playing, exercising, eating, and relaxing.

AL Anderson Park is a beautiful place to take an afternoon walk or have a family picnic. We have done both there and I really enjoyed going here. There are plenty of shelters or you can enjoy a nice afternoon with the family. I also enjoy the trails through the lake in around the edges of the water where you can see alligators and turtles and fish. I definitely recommend you go there and check this place out. You won’t regret it

The park offers a great relaxing place for a picknick, birthday celebrations, have a dog play day, boating, and observing wildlife such as birds and allegators. Take a hammock and enjoy the beauty of the lake and the trees. The park is equipped with a nice children's park and many walking trails overlooking Lake Tarpon. Enjoy your visit Florida style.
