We hired this roofer, in good faith, to install a new roof on our 26-year old manufactured home, in August 2017. We had recently bought the home, and were prompted by both a pre-purchase inspection report by an engineer, and some minimal leakage. Bartlett came out and recommended a TPO, or Rubberized roof, which was installed over our existing roof. We had three skylights, which he said we're fine, they only had to be reset. They completed the job in half a day, and clean up was good. I paid in full. We got a LIFETIME GUARANTEE! The skylights had never leaked before, but he had to come back on two of them three or four times. The next time, he had sold the company, and the new owner said that he would not honor the warranty. After some heated discussion, he sent a worker to do the repair. The next time it rained, it leaked. We had to hire a handyman for interim repairs. Finally we had to get everything torn off, and a new roof installed, including 18 new sheets of plywood. We had an Engineer, the Insurance Adjuster, and two Roofers tell us that, not only the skylights, but all the vents had been sealed improperly. Additionally, a TPO roof should NOT have been installed over the roof on our manufactured home. Finally, we don't recall any permits or inspection. What a mess! What stress!
