Dimitri's on the Water

Wow, what a wonderful experience I had here. I had never been to Tarpon, so I asked some locals for opinions on best Greek cuisine... almost all said Dimitri's. The waiter and staff were absolutely wonderful, the food was excellent, and the view was perfect. I enjoyed my experience here so much, I will be taking my mom here for her birthday in 2 weeks. Fyi...it's a 2 hour drive from our town...I don't care... I want my mom to experience this place...and this town.

The food was great. Super service. Great staff. On the water. Great outside seating. Parking can be diffucult. Get a "sandwich" & a side is cheaper than a platter. Lil dark to read menu. Our server was really goid & did everything we asked.

This is an amazing greek restaurant that deserves praise! This restaurant has an amazing staff, food, and dessert. There is no complaints here. This place is literally on the water and very affordable! Great option!!! I will be back again! This place is a true treasure! The manager on duty is also very kind and great with customers! Our server Cristos was quick and very respectful! Best fried shrimp we have ever tasted! Very fresh!!! Anything you get you’ll be happy!

So so so good!! The ambience and vibe make you feel you are in a little restaurant in Greece. The food was so fresh and tasted superb- our first time here and we will definetely be back again. We started with the appetizer tyrokafteri and all I can say is, wow!! It was probably the best Greek appetizer that I can remember ever having- the whipped feta cheese and fresh pitas were out of this world! The view was cute on the water, with lots of local fishermen driving by and hundreds of fish swimming up next to our table. The gyro platter meat was excellent and even the rice and vegetables were cooked perfectly. And the taziki sauce- absolute gold too! This place is on point in every way- so happy that we found this little place for our new date night spot!

Dimitri's never disappoints! We ordered the big Dimitri salad and whoa! Was it ever big. The combination plater is excellent and of course the lamb shank. The wait staff is very professional and personable. Every time I have visitors to Florida I take them here.

We had the mahi-blackened (fire!), the pickled octopus, the village salad and I had a word sangria. We sat at the bar and the service was amazing! Our bartender was David and he was awesome! Everything was so good!

Food was fantastic! The softest octopus I’ve ever had in my life!!! & I order octopus almost everytime I see it on a menu! Meat in the gyros was plentiful & perfectly seasoned! Baked potato boats were huge & perfect for sharing! The calamari was a huge plate & very fresh too! Love this place!

We were actually going to try another restaurant yesterday BEFORE we popped into the welcome center. She said the BEST place to eat on water was Dimitri's. She was absolutely right. We sat indoors by the windows due to the heat/humidity of the day, they offer outdoor seating as well. Next time we will try outdoors.

Greek food will blow you away at Dimitri's. We both had gyros and I had a side of the Greek salad my husband had fries. We shared an appetizer. Every bite was heavenly. Please make Dimitri's your go to restaurant when visiting the Sponge Docks.

Dinner with friends here for the first time, food was really delicious 😋. We had a great server as well. Saturday night around 6pm, so it was very busy. Be prepared to wait a few minutes if you don't have a resi, they do have a small bar to sit at and have a drink while you wait. Waterside views and pretty 😍 ✨ scenery makes for a pleasant dining experience! Can't wait to come back, maybe lunch next time. Bon appetite 😋

Exceptional Greek cuisine served here. The tzatziki was amazing as was the Avgo Lemono and the Moussaka. This dog friendly restaurant has out covered waterfront dining next to the sponge diver docks.

This place is a hidden treasure ask for Andreas the manager and he’s gonna take care of a few very nice people. The words can’t help how much I had a good experience here. and Alena she is awesome and most welcoming

Easter Sunday lunch was amazing. Our family had a great time and excellent food. We felt like home. Everyone is polite and friendly. We all had fish and all the appetizers were as being back to Greece. Thank you for the amazing hospitality.

Great food in a great atmosphere! The Greek salad and gyro were both amazing! It is definitely colder on the patio than walking the streets due to total shade and some wind, so come prepared with a jacket, but so fun to sit on the patio overlooking the water!

It was the perfect experience! Our salads and bread came out right away. Our entrees came out at the perfect time. Every single thing that we ordered was excellent!

I really enjoyed the Exquisite Fanfare of Dimitri's and its Elegance of dining on the water. This establishment which is located conveniently in historic Tarpon Springs, Florida, Has some of the best authentic Greek food I have ever had. There is definitely not a shortage of service and Pleasant people to wait on you. The food is very tasting and tantalizing with their very broad range menu. With their waterfront dining, you definitely cannot beat the The View. As historic as their establishment is, it is very clean and the prices are very fair. There is plenty of parking all around as well.
