Tarpon Animal Hospital

I have currently been located in Holiday for 3 going on 4 years. This vet office takes really good care of my fur baby. Dr. Abate definitely has his patients' best interests in mind when recommending treatment. He has never steered me wrong with what's best for my baby, and I really appreciate that as a dog mom. I would highly recommend this office to anyone who asks. BTW, my fur baby has all the girls in the office under his spell. Picture included for reference.

The Staff, Vet Techs, and Veterinarians are always kind, thoughtful, knowledgeable, budget-conscious without compromising care and treatment. I have been coming here for years and being open on a Saturday even for a couple of hours is one of the main reasons I started bringing my dogs and now cat since the Cat Distribution Department paid me a visit ;) Highly recommended!!

We took our two 14 week old kittens to this vet and they did an fantastic job. The veterinarian was very knowledgeable and the rest of the staff was very kind and made us feel at easy. It put us at ease having a veterinarian who really know what he was doing take care of our cats. He was able to explain everything that was going on and showed us how to care for our animals when we had questions. Amazing service, would use them again.

Truly kind and caring vet and staff! My furbaby had stopped breathing after another seizure and I begged them to see us right away in this emergency even though she was not a current patient yet (after being unable to get her in sooner at ANY other local ER or urgent care). It was too late and I was heartbroken, but I will never forget their incredible compassion and kindness. They didn’t even charge me (especially being non-patient!) and even provided me with a nice body bag to bring her back home with me. THEN, I was further surprised to receive a lovely card signed by the vet and his staff! Hands down, this will be my vet of choice when I’m ready to rescue my next dog! Highly recommend and they even offer a Groupon for those interested in trying them out. A+++++++++++++

Still not too sure yet. They are corporate owned, which is probably why they are pushing so many tests and pills my past vet has never mentioned. I am getting my pups teeth cleaned tomorrow....we shall see how far OVER their min estimate they go before I decide to keep my pup here.

Things went better than expected. Initially I found the front staff unorganized, the website had outdated information that I used to try to get my pups records to this pet hospital prior to our appointment which caused my proactive personality to go into frustration mode, etc. The continual push for more tests, costs and meds is the corporate business plan of most vets but I am an adult and can say no more.

I did find that they treated my pup with good care and concern when he hard a very hard time with the anesthesia for his teeth cleaning, which is a huge plus to me. They also did not charge me for a tooth that basically fell out by itself (I knew he had a bad tooth) and they could have padded their bill because I would not have known it fell out.. another plus for honesty. The final bill ended up less than their minimum estimate, a 3rd plus so overall, I am pleased with their service.

I would highly recommend taking your pet to this place. Just moved from Palm harbor to tarpon and was looking for a good place to take my dog because she was having some serious allergies and just was itching and miserable. They took her the same day I called them!!! Where as everywhere else was a two week wait or more. And it was very affordable in all a great experience my dog loved them and we plan on going back

Tarpon Animal Hospital felt like home ❤ Brutus and I were treated with so much kindness and love. Brutus is an American Bull Dog of 7 yrs. He was being treated for tape worms. We left with meds and a little extra for Brutus clogged ears.

Tarpon animal hospital was wonderful. It was Georgias first time at this vet office so she was nervous. The staff was wonderful and friendly. She loved it even though she had to get a shot. Thanks again!

I had an amazing experience my cat who is literally my life and who is 9 was treated with absolute amazing care they checked everything super thoroughly took me back right on time and gave me the perfect meds to treat her skin problem thank you I will definitely be bringing all my animals here from now on as well as referring all my family and friends! And price is very affordable

We have been taking our dog to Tarpon animal hospital for years. A dog with allergies and fearful aggression requires a lot of work from owners and care takers. The office staff have made great effort to leave notes in our dogs chart, give me heads up when the lobby was clear of other animals and always treated me with respect and worked to accommodate the needs of our dog. Over the years we have put our full trust into an amazing team member named Courtney. She has learned our dogs behaviors, listed to us, and has truly been an Angel in her ability to treat and work with our dog who is not an easy one to take to the vets office. From needing a muzzle to no longer a muzzle our dog now loves it when we tell him we are going to see Courtney, he can barely stand it, wagging and barking his way to the car. The office has accommodated vet visits and just medication shot visits to minimize stress on our dog. I am grateful for this vet office and most importantly feel heard. When it comes to having a challenging dog there’s a few things owners need: help, treatment, to be heard and lastly lots of treats :). Tarpon animal hospital is just what we need in a vet.

My Dino.,well he is a senior chi,he has a painful ear problem which makes him very fearful of being examined. So to the point he was calm and trusting of the Dr like I have never seen before . Wonderful Dr.and staff..Thank you very much for your kindness and your prompt call back with good news !!!

I would highly recommend this animal hospital to anyone who is looking for a truly caring veterinarian. The staff is very very kind, helpful and absolutely wonderful. I am not a rich man. I do okay. They worked with me in every way they could. Thank you guys again for helping me with my puppy. God bless you for that. My dog is my world. If I could give them 10 Stars I would! I believe in giving credit, where credit is due. And they are well deserving of it.

I had a mini-emergency for my dachshund. My regular vet was " too busy " for 4 days. I called these folks, and they had me in the office in 30 minutes. They are caring, compassionate, and totally dedicated to the best pet care. Needless to say, they are my regular vet from now on. Thank you so much.

The entire staff is wonderful. They saved one of my cats lives a few months ago when she got very ill. Today when I noticed my other cat had an injury they didn't hesitate to immediately take her back and work on her.

I'm a fairly new to using this vet, but so far they've been great! The staff has been super friendly and helpful. No long wait times. Fair prices and they'll price match prescriptions. I've used several vets over the past couple years trying to find one I actually like and so far this seems like a winner!

They're very professional. Took my dog in due to having a very bad broken nail, down to the quick. I was able to drop her off and pick her up in a couple of hours once she was ready. The receptionist was very nice!

UPDATE:

Dootz is now doing better than ever! Hated the cone but it was short lived, her nail is now healing perfectly and she has freshly clipped nails.

Very caring staff at a horrible time! Their kindness was greatly appreciated! And they have awesome service!

I'm so glad I found a caring animal hospital for my fur baby. The only issue for me is that I can't go in with him, our other vet allowed us in la, but since we now reside in fl it is what it is. Thank you to the caring staff for checking in on Franklin after his surgery . 🤍🤍🤍 we'll see you soon for his follow up. 🤍🤍🤍

I would and will recommend Tarpon Animal Hospital to everyone!! In a little over a year I have gone to 3 vets and blue Pearl trying to figure out my poor fur baby, all to feel a tad cray cray. This office not only made me feel welcome, fit me in last minute, but listened and spent time with her, it was the best experience!!! It was wonderful and refreshing to see an office who took the time and cared! Thank you!!!! I will be telling everyone who needs a vet where to go💕 cherise
