Katerina’s Taverna & Grill

When visiting Tarpon Springs we usually go to restaurants near the sponge docks. But to be honest, the restaurants there cater to tourists and the food is usually meh. This time a friend and I decided to visit Katerina’s. It’s just slightly off the beaten path and definitely worth the short walk. The food is fresh and so flavorful. The hummus is to die for and my salad was huge and full of juicy red tomatoes and salty feta. My friend’s sandwich was delicious and she loved the crispy fries inside. The ambience is relaxing and reminiscent of a cafe in Greece. Can’t wait to return!

My new favorite restaurant! I will want to eat here every time we go to Tarpon Springs! The food was absolutely delicious and the service was friendly and excellent. Very generous portions were given as well.

We were going to go to one of the restaurants by the sponge docks but they were all so crowded. So glad we decided to have dinner at Katerinas. It was amazing. Absolutely Delicious Food. Will definitely go back again. Can't wait actually. 😋

Great authentic Greek cuisine. They had a belt dancer who did a performance with flame swallowing! Food tasted amazing and beyond generously portioned. Great family experience.

Loved the place! It’s a true gem of Tarpon Springs very well known by locals! Food was great, service very friendly and personal, menu just fantastic, prices reasonable!! what else do you need for a perfect Sunday family dinner!!! And yes, our server Niki was brilliant!!!

Dmitri was kind, helpful & friendly. He provided wonderful recommendations for menu options and they were ALL delicious. I can't wait to return!!!

Great outdoor pet friendly dining space. Food and service have been great both times we have been here. They have my favorite spanakopita in the area. It's super fresh, nice crispy philo, and creamy inside. I will be back for it.

Been here a few times in the past, they have a really good Greek Salad. This time was better then last year, a Woman Server last year told me that she had no change to give me when I paid my Check! I said seriously? She said she ran out of change Lol. I told her that she can keep the change and that was very disappointing. She really didn’t deserve a tip she was terrible. I am not sure that she works there anymore because I didn’t see her today. This time I told my Server today please make sure I get my change back. And I always leave a good tip! I really like Niki S she is a wonderful Server, she did a good job. I took some pictures of the Salad to show how beautiful it is. They do a good job here. Best in Tarpon Springs. The food was authentic and extremely tasty. The wait staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the entire menu. They had live music which was hired by other patrons who were celebrating on the outside dinning area. This made for a great surprise and a wonderful experience. I highly recommend the chicken gyros, hummus and authentic baklava.

The grilled octopus and moussaka were delicious. The octopus was tender and accompanied by delicious sauces to run it through and sop up the flavorful goodness. The moussaka was accompanied by a delicious rice that made for a comforting meal. The seating on the patio was perfect...happy customers, good food and pleasant evening weather.

We have eaten at a lot of Greek restaurants, around the docks. Flat out this place has been the best so far. Flavors are layered, everything was fresh. The spice and seasoning on our food was done right. Small place but clean. We picked up pur order. Definitely would recommend.

The staff was accommodating and friendly. The food was delicious. I sat outside in patio seating and enjoyed the setting very much

We stopped for a late lunch on a Sunday afternoon. The service was good and the food excellent. We had pan fried shrimp which was spiced just right and a delicious lemon chicken soup. The Katerina Iman was so good. A huge portion with a lot of eggplant. It was beautifully seasoned as well.
When in Tarpon Springs we will definitely stop by.

Hands down the BEST calamari I’ve ever had. Extra lemons! (You’re welcome in advance.) Katerina’s is a hidden gem on the outskirts of the Sponge Docks here in Tarpon Springs. You can taste the heart and love for her family in Kat’s dishes. The patio offers a more than ample environment, suitable for all seasons and weather. I love the al fresco aesthetic, whether it be a sunny day or a rainy summer night. The soup and salad are uniquely hers. I hope you enjoy and find the same comfort I have in this family-run business. Supporting local never tasted so good!

The best Greek Restaurant and food I have ever had. Katerina was recommended to us by a local Greek woman working at a gift shop and who best to recommend Greek food right? We were not disappointed and Katrina is a real person who’s son was our server. He made some recommendations to our order and glad he did; honestly, the best traditional GF I have ever had!

We went for lunch to celebrate my grandson's birthday. Dimitri the host was an excellent and beyond the services. We enjoyed everything. 😉 love it ,we have plan to go back again. I highly recommend Katerina 's Taverna & Grill..🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

Good food all around. Best calamari we ever had. excellent grilled octopus. tasty authentic Greek dishes, nice atmosphere with Greek music in the background. good service headed by Katerina's son. we've become regulars. best food in Tarpon.

Wow! This place is so good. This was my first time here and absolutely loved it. I live 30 minutes away but Katrina's is now my go to for Greek cuisine. I started with the Village Salad, the Octopus, topped off with Baklava and Greek coffee. Everything was excellent, I can't say enough good things about this place. Dress is casual/business casual, staff is friendly, prices are fair.

Great Greek Taverna in the heart of tarpon springs local favorite serving classic traditional Greek food and homemade recipes. Indoor outdoor seating beer wine. Homemade craft pork gyro Greek salad and homemade avgolemono soup was today’s lunch.

This place was AMAZING!!!!!! We tried a lot of things here but our favorites were definitely the Gyros and lemon soup. The wait staff was amazing and very nice. My brother (who is very picky) absolutely loved the spaghetti and meat sauce. The patio space was also really cool. This is some of the best Greek food we have had in a long time!!!!!
