Costas Restaurant

We sat outside on the most gorgeous day that Florida can offer and the place we were at made it even better. Great service, well made fresh seafood that is interesting and unique.

The service is friendly and the place is clean. This is the least chain restaurant in the Tampa area (because it isn't and doesn't pretend to be).

Truly loved everything. The gyro was loaded to the gills. The horiatiki salad was very fresh. Crispy calamari was giant and fresh!

Delicious. I’ve been going to Tarpon Springs for 20+ years and always ate at the restaurants on the main strip. A friend suggested Costas and boy was it good. The octopus was cooked to perfection. Not too tough not too mushy. It was the perfect texture. It was seasoned simply w/ garlic, olive oil and oregano and it was perfect. I also had the grouper stuffed w/ feta and spinach with a side of green beans and a side of greens. It was all delicious. The only thing is I would have liked less feta and more spinach in the grouper but that’s ok. I’ll tell you, this is restaurant is better than the other restaurants on the main strip. Also the waitress was very professional and friendly. I’ll go back when I’m come back to Tampa.

Stopped by for an early dinner and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! Best grilled octopus we have ever tried - definitely getting that again. The chicken souvlaki was tasty and juicy and ample in portion. The lamb gyro was savory, saucy, and a delight to the senses. Thanks for a lovely dinner, folks.

This restaurant is the best restaurant I have ever gone to in Tarpon Springs. There a lot of great places but this one is superb! The portions are extremely big, the service was awesome and the food was beyond perfect! Off street parking and great prices for what you get! AMAZING!!

This was my first time eating at Costas. I had the charbroiled octopus with oven lemon potatoes. It was done just right. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was great until a big party came in, at which time the noise got a little too loud. Fortunately, we were almost done and left soon after. I will definitely go back for the other Greek food on the menu.

A wonderful old neighborhood vibe. Every time we visit Tarpon Springs we stop at Costas and then walk across the street to Fournos for the best half moon cookies one the planet IMHO. We eat so much at Costco the cookies are a treat several hours later.

Excellent food and drink. The service was great for lunch. Try the Ultimate Souflaki sandwich and the Greek salad.

We went in a group of at least 42 people this is the Plato Academy Largo school went on a cruise what a marvelous wonderful restaurant this is! The staff the service was excellent to boot! I want to thank everybody for being so kind and so sweet to our eighth graders! I must apologize if they got a little loud! But I think all the other patrons were enjoying them cuz they were always smiling as I looked around! I want to thank the staff who waited on us I wish I would have remembered their names! Thank you again for a marvelous adventure that we went on!

I love visiting Tarpon Springs, it is like little Greece, and finally tried Greek food in this town! I was amazed by the quick service, and the food was phenomenal! I left with a very happy stomach! Can't wait to visit again! :)

The stuffed zucchini was so authentic and delicious. I had never had this dish and it did not disappoint. Excellent flavor. I also enjoyed the cheese that they flamed at the table. My only negative was that they flamed it before we realized they were doing it. The service was very personal and on point.

A great Greek restaurant off the beaten path in Tarpon Sponge Docks. Great atmosphere, quick service and down to earth prices. My mixed grill plate was full of meat and could not finish it. Everything tastes great and nothing is "small".

Outstanding food and service. Their Captains platter with fried shrimp, Scallops, and grouper was absolutely delicious. However, truthfully, I ordered it blackened. If you're looking for a great Greek fish restaurant, order their salad and any entry. You won't go wrong.

This is as good as of Greek food as you’ll get! We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant thanks to the friendly staff. We were blown away by how fantastic the food is!! This is a must try and I will absolutely be back.

This place is fantastic! Great place for authentic Greek food. The staff was very friendly towards us and the portions are very generous! All the food was so good, and that Greek salad was amazing! Highly recommended

Really enjoyed our lunch here. The saganaki (flaming cheese) was delicious as a shared appetizer. The small Greek salad was huge and quite filling as it has potato salad at the bottom, is sprinkled with beets, along with LOTS of anchovies and feta cheese. The grilled octopus with feta was absolutely perfect, so tender and smoky. Highly recommend.

What a good find! I got their mixed seafood platter of shrimp, calamari, octopus, and grouper! It tasted fresh and had a good depth of flavor.

This is probably the best Greek restaurant we have eaten at. The gyros are fantastic and so is the Greek salad. We will definitely be back to eat there. We have told a lot of people about this place. Check it out when you're in town.

Tasty dishes and good sized portions.

Only complaint -- as it wasn't busy - Gyros were either sitting around for a while or overcooked - had lots of hard dry pieces.
