St. Joseph Academy

I’m in my second year at St. Joseph and I absolutely love the school. I can’t imagine attending high school any where else. From the moment I stepped foot on campus my freshmen year, I’ve had the opportunity to meet some amazing friends and teachers who actually care! My classes are small and our teachers take time to make sure you understand each lesson. Not to mention being apart of the OLDEST Catholic High School in Florida. I’m proud to be a part of their 156th year!

SJA is like a small family. Everyone knows each other and helps each other out. My most memorable time this past two years has been playing football for St. Joseph. My teammates will always be like brothers to me. Go Flashes!

Saint Joseph’s has a long history in Saint Augustine and provides an engaging and welcoming environment for Catholic high school students. This smaller school provides students with caring teachers who know and work with the students throughout their entire SJA career. We like the variety of class choice, the smaller classes for instruction, and the individual attention our students get if needing assistance. Top notch faculty and staff, on-site cafeteria with athletics and clubs available. We love our on-campus priest and the chance to attend chapel weekly or before sports. We highly recommend SJA!

As the parent of 4 children who have attended SJA, I can say that the Catholic school education they received was a sacrifice our family made, but one that turned out to be well worth it. We made this decision when our oldest was born- a decision to sacrifice the new cars, the vacations, and whatever else it took to put him and all our children through Catholic schools. At SJA the small school atmosphere has been such a blessing! All our children have blossomed as mature adults and have kept their Catholic faith which has enabled them to thrive and make smart life decisions. The values we taught at home were reinforced at SJA and those values are now being passed on to our grandchildren. The blessings of a Catholic school education continue to flourish in our family.

I love SJA. It is a small school with wonderful staff and teachers. Campus safety is excellent. I would recommend this school if you are looking for a Catholic education.

The previous one star post is not for this school. This is a high school and does not have 2nd grade. People should be careful before posting slander randomly.

Terrific school

Came to play baseball… ample parking. Bleacher seating, no shade. No concessions, eateries and places to get get drinks are close by. Fields very well kept. Bathrooms are located in school. School uses GoFan for ticket sales. Streaming capability.

My husband went here, he seems okay.

This place is absolute trash, consider a different school instead. Especially the woman at the front desk, she yelled at an anonymous student (who had permission from her teacher to go to guidance) for trying to go. And proceeded to scream at her until she left. She tried to tell the woman she had permission from her teacher to be there but she wouldn’t listen. And according to many, has never before listened to students. Another anonymous student was with the other, being uncomfortable going alone, and still received information to be there in the first place.

Don't waste your time if you have a religious exemption from vaccinations for your child(ren). They ironically don't accept religious waivers although they are a religious school
