Really good for hard to find items that the big stores don't bother to carry.

Oh, and pay no attention to the cat he/she runs the place.

Ole school feel, one on one service store is bigger than you'd think, rode pass MANY TIMES IN 40+ years. Take me advice take the time to spend some time in your neighborhood hardware store 5/5 will return

Perfect little neighborhood hardware store where you can grab almost anything necessary for a home project. Whether I need keys made, new lock sets, rope or plumbing supplies New Market provides.

Service is plentiful and friendly. For those who may not be very knowledgeable about items; there's always someone available here to assist.

Screws, thingies, doodads, toilet seats, paint scrapers, just call ahead if you're not sure they'll have what you need. Mostly stocked with all the stuff for home repairs, and more. Like vintage hardware, used appliances, and a cat. Totally worth going in just to support your local small business, and see a curious place for sure. Truly one of a kind. They even staple your receipts together, ok?

Very nice, helpful staff interested in helping you with your projects. They are very quick to offer assistance finding things or figuring out what you need, and remember what project you are working on as they see you before checkout. Highly recommend to anyone who needs hardware supplies! Way better and more personal than the super long waits at larger retail stores.

These guys are the best! Very experienced, and helpful with problem-solving. Try them before Lowe's or Home Depot if you truly want the best advice and products. Their pricing is competitive too. Support the independent shops like this one. The local contractors love 'em, and are in there all the time.

We needed to do a little touch-up painting. They were very helpful, had great advice, and offered to sell us just one sheet of sandpaper and an inexpensive plastic putty knife to keep the cost down. So kind. And they have an adorable shop kitten.

Friendly and helpful staff! Cool old building with a maze-like interior packed with everything one could need in a hardware store. There's also a sweet cat mascot. I'll be back.

New Market Hardware is a diamond in the rough. It is been here for over a hundred years and has survived many other hardware stores that have come and gone. Everybody is friendly and knowledgeable, it's a little hard to navigate the store if you've never been there before but everyone is willing to show you where you need to go. If they don't have what you needed they can get it for you within a day or two. Highly recommend.

Love it! My Grandfather used to shop there back in the day when I was little boy, 😁 This place has literally almost EVERYTHING you need for projects of all kinds. I hope this place stays FOREVER !

I always love that hardware stores in the neighborhood I went there today to find some double side tape and he showed me the Gorilla Tape double-sized tape and it was great I hung my pictures on the wall I'm glad we still have a neighborhood Hardware thank you so much Market Hardware

Great hardware store better than the big stores. They can make all the the to get copied keys plus they have just about anything you need for all your household needs and repairs.

I live down the street from this store and use it frequently for my hardware needs. They can be a little short-staffed, but that is pretty typical of a small privately run store. (Heck, these days, it is typical of everywhere.) It is a classic hardware store, full of nooks and crannies, with just about anything you need to do any sort of chore around the home. There are power tools, paints, glues, appliances, hoses, and so on. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I've never been there and not found what I needed. The cat is pretty tolerant of being fawned over. If you are in the market for that specific thing-a-ma-bob you need to finish that do-it-yourself project, this store will have it.

Mate, this is one place I will really miss in St. Louis. A great, old school hardware store. Only the size of a corner store, but it's amazing how many useful things are jammed in there! Friendly staff who are often up for having a yarn about nothing in particular. Shop cat! Bring your dog! Dog treats! Popcorn! Not Home Despot!

Moving away from home and no longer having my dad there for all my questions, the men here are my new go-to hardware guys. They are so friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Thankful to have them right around the corner!

I had a wonderful experience at New Market Hardware. I had a 50" long piece of PVC pipe that I needed cut lengthwise and I spent nearly 3 weeks trying to find someone to cut it (Lowes and Home Depot wouldn't even bother). The staff here (especially Ian) are extremely friendly...love the small shop feel! Highly recommended.
