The Get Down

Went here for my birthday with a group of friends. Tony, Holden, and Alexis were amazing and the drinks were delicious. I will definitely be going back!

The Get Down is a gathering place for like minded individuals to come together and relish in the vibes that the Grove has to offer. The employees are phenomenal, the owners are fantastic humans as well. Dog friendly on the patio, TouchTunes jukebox, games, all the fun to be had here! It has become one of my favorite spots to come and hang out no matter what day of the week! Thanks, Get Down! :)

Was in St Louis for 4 days visiting a friend. We were trying to find a nice locals type place with a good selection of cocktails and good atmosphere. Thanks to Google we stumbled upon this place. It was nice just to sit the in the corner, have a drink, listen to quality music and play chess.

This corner bar is what St. Louis is all about. People from all ages were there and I felt totally welcome. This is owned and run by two local brothers, Joe and Tony. Tony made me this drink with lavender and I was hooked. Great suggestions for drinks. Have been there many times and always enjoy bringing friends and my family. Joe made me some sandwiches to go and the meatball one was my favorite. Great place!

Fun little dive bar. Cocktails $13-15 that are always evolving. Friendly staff. Ordered the cheesy bread, it took awhile for it to arrive (about the amount of time to drink a cocktail) but it was tasty. Not too noisy. Crowd of all ages.

I was staying in St. Louis less than a five minute walk from The Get Down for a bartending gig at the race track across the river. Thursday, my travel partner and I decided to go get a drink at this wonderful bar. It was so cool, man. Bee, Tony, Kai, Joe, and Lexi were all so amazing. I literately went back the following two nights until it was time to go home because the atmosphere, staff, and patrons were right in point every time. Salude The Get Down. Had no idea what to expect and my expectations were far exceeded. Super friendly staff and good vibe. Not quite divey, but not pretentious.

This is a cool little corner bar with amazing sandwiches. The chicken Philly is a beast and really enjoyed the meatball sub too. Cool little patio with a disc golf goal and Jenga.
A small place but everyone here wants to make sure you have a great experience.
We will definitely be back!

Came in for a date night. We had a GREAT time! The staff is very welcoming. The food and cocktails were outstanding. We got the Cheesy Meatball and Chicka Chicka Philly subs. The food was so good we decided to get some Italian Chicken Soup and a couple Beef'O subs to take home for the next day... just delicious! We'll definitely be back!

Just spent a couple hours here with my wife. Very nice craft drinks that were amazing. The menu is small but was very good. The meatball sandwich is their own family recipe and quite delicious. The chicken Philly also amazing. Extremely friendly. Don’t pass this place up! Renee as our bartender was amazing and we met both owners as apps and food were brought to us. Very nice!

almost no zero proof options, but if you're drinking alcohol and want a relaxed environment, this spot is definitely worth a visit.

10/10 recommend. Chill, funky vibes ✨ Outstanding cocktails, spacious outdoor back patio, and awesome bartenders. Joe and Tony are so welcoming and cool! They have classic board games and foosball. I will definitely be back the next time I’m in town. Don’t sleep on this friendly and laid back spot to hang!

I came to the Get Down and had an amazing time. Immediately upon walking in I felt welcomed, the bartender shaking drinks behind the bar near the front door said “what’s up dude, grab a seat I’ll get you something in a second!” I ended up getting a drink from another bartender and it not only tasted sweet and tart and perfectly balanced, it also looked amazing with a good looking garnish.

I also grabbed a meatball sub and it rivals the meatball sub from gramophone. The thing that sold it for me was the fresh matzo melted on the sandwich.

A little bonus was that I was able to destroy all of my friends in scattergories, one of several board games they have, as well as bubble hockey, foosball, and golden tee.

My fiance and I went here to end the night on his birthday, and we had so much fun. The bartender Renee was super nice and made some great drinks. Another employee (didn't catch his name) brought us our food with a candle in it when he found out it was my fiance's birthday. All in all a super vibey, fun place to hang out.

Had such a great time at this place! Really fun, comfortable, queer atmosphere. The drinks were excellent. The staff was super friendly and fun. The late night eats were hitting. I think this may quickly become one of my main hangouts

Visiting St. Louis for the week and decided to come in because of the high google reviews, happy with our decision. Cocktails were delicious and the owners came and talked to us, so welcoming!

Went here on a Friday night. Not very busy but the vibe was still good. Music is loud and good choices. We got the meatball sub and the chicken philly, both were fantastic! Best bar food I've ever had. My wife got the strawberry get down Collins cocktail. It tasted like pledge but I'm sure some like it. They have a foosball and dome hockey table. Waiter and busgirl were very nice and energetic.

Best cocktails in St. Louis! The Get Down is a hidden gem and my wife’s and my favorite spot to go for drinks. The ambiance is relaxed, and entire staff is friendly & welcoming. The drink list has unique recipes (often with themes) as well as classics, all with handmade ingredients, so that you can always find something you’re looking for. If you want a great drink and chill atmosphere, it’s definitely worth checking out The Get Down.

Hands down, best bar in STL. They had the friendliest and most welcoming staff there is, along with amazing drinks, and a great atmosphere. It truly doesn’t get much better than this place.
