I’ve been going to this barbershop since the 90s it is the best place in Springfield to get your haircut. Ray the barber there is awesome and he is also great with my son who is only four years old and has a great time every time he gets his haircut. I just moved here locally and I’ve been in need of a new barber, I have trust issues with barbers because the amount of people that have butchered my hair. I’m used to bigger shops and chains but this small local business changed my mind. Couple of my friends kept mentioning this barber shop is the place to go. I was hesitant at first but I decided to go. My friends mentioned that Calvin is the guy to go to. I requested him and he gave me a fade which the fade was so blurry and blended in so well. I was so impressed not only how clean the fade was but also how fast he did it. He did it with quality and heart. That’s the best I could ask for and they were so friendly. It’s an amazing place to go with a laid back, calming, professional, pleasing atmosphere. I recommend this place 100 percent to anyone. Not only that but the price is phenomenal ! 21 dollars for a fade, is the best price I’ve seen in years and the quality for it. So I tell you, if you need a cut go to Brentwood and ask for Calvin and you’ll look like a brand new man.

First stop when you walk into the shop you feel like you're at home. The decorations are enough to get you in, there is so much to look at!. They're great with kids and do an awesome job on Kids Cuts, I know my son loved talking with John about all the different animals. They've even got chess in the back if you want to play while you wait! This is one of the best barber shops in town and has very competitive prices. My barber was John and I believe he's the owner if you get the chance all of the gentleman there do a great job I just know that I'll be seeing John for the rest of my life as long as I live in town. Worth the drive 10 out of 10 excellent service

Took my 1 year old here for his first cut and have been taking him ever since! I now have two, ages 1 & 2 and Calvin always does a great job! They are all very friendly and patient (even with a screaming toddler)! Couldn’t recommend them more!

First time here! John was my barber and did a great job! They took a walk in at opening and had me out pretty quickly!

Calvin gave a great haircut, but the atmosphere and relationship he had with each customer was something worth commenting on. I don’t live in the area but needed a haircut. I had to wait a while but the other customers were friendly and social. We probably didn’t have much in common but it was awesome sitting around and talking with good people. One customer went out to the parking lot to help a lady with car problems while waiting. They just made me feel welcomed. Calvin was the catalyst for the good vibe in the shop.

I've been getting my haircut here since September 2019 and it's by far the best barbershop I've ever been to. The atmosphere is welcoming, they remember who you are, offer great conversations, and are extremely friendly.

Calvin has never failed at giving me the exact haircut I need to keep me looking professional while I'm out here recruiting for the Air Force. When I first got to Springfield I tried multiple places for the first 3 months until my office partners recommended going to Brentwood Barber Shop and I have been going ever since. I'm moving soon to recruit elsewhere so wish me luck on finding a barber as good as Calvin.

Recruiters don't always get a lot of trust... but you can trust me on this - this is the best barber shop. Seriously, stop searching for a good place... This is the one, a great one!

One of the best barbers I've had in my lifetime. The environment is incredible and it will become something you'll expect from any other shop. The people, the service, and the quality all come together to deliver a stellar experience time and time again. All of the barbers there are great but, personally, I always ask for Calvin.

I've been going to Brentwood Barbershop for 8 years now. John has always delivered an impeccable haircut. Since he has taken over the shop (years ago) they gained two barbers (Calvin & Ray) who do amazing work as well. Three great barbers in a clean shop with comfortable waiting. You'll catch all kinds of people in here and they all walk out happy.
Seriously, if you have reservations about looking good do not come here. They're going to give you a cut so good you'll be averaging 5 phone numbers per grocery store trip. I even had a soccer mom buy my groceries one time. You'll feel like some sort of snake charmer with the powers a Brentwood fade gives you. Now that I think about it my whole life has improved since coming to Brentwood Barber Shop.

Calvin is the BEST! We love him! I've been bringing my son to him for about 4 years now. And Calvin is always so friendly and always trying to talk to my son (who is VERY shy) and engage with him! It's honestly helped his confidence so much and the last time we went in, he told Calvin how he wanted his cut!! So not only are the hair cuts awesome and and a super comfy environment but they truly care about their clients.

Calvin is the greatest barber I've been to. Listens to what I want done. I've even brought a buddy of mine to come and get his barber needs here. I don't want to leave to good of a review, he will be way too busy to get me in.. sooooooo, with that said.. I'll never go to anyone ever again...

I've been going here for nearly a year and these have always been great, I've only ever had Calvin cut both mine andy sons hair and he's always been awesome. My son is barely over a year old so he can be a little squirmy but Calvin has been very patient and great. Not mention he cuts an awesome fade and their price is hard to beat. I recommend their shop to everyone.

All I have to say is I’ve been going here for 9 years now. John the owner is a great guy and runs a good barbershop. Calvin has been cutting my hair for about 16 months and i highly recommend him to everyone. I’ve been to many different shops over the years in Springfield, but I keep going back to these boys month after month. Save yourself the trouble and get your haircut done right the first time at Brentwood!

This is by far the best barber shop in town. I've been to others, many of them good, but the attention to detail here is amazing! They take their time and strive for perfection. John and Calvin are excellent for skin fades (I just haven't had Ray cut my hair yet). The conversation and atmosphere is very comfortable and welcoming for everyone. I don't know where a previous reviewer is getting her ideas regarding race. John has been my barber for MANY YEARS and I have seen nothing but love and respect shown to all of his clients regardless of skin color, sexual orientation or any other reason. Nothing but respect. It might be a good idea to actual be sure of the facts before publicly accusing someone of such a deplorable motive.

It’s time to go back. I’ll be headed over to Brentwood Barber Shop next week. I really enjoy this place. I have very fond memories of my grandfather taking me to the barber when I was a child. Brentwood takes me back there. It is a very manly place. Don’t care if that last statement is PC or not. Jon is my barber. He is also a veteran so that makes him my brother as well. I really enjoy setting and listening to everyone talk. Jon is a great barber, all the guys there are. I have seen each of them work with all ages. I can be in a bad mood but once I get into Jon’s chair my demeanor changes immediately. Not that I am always in a bad mood when I am there. So if you need a haircut go see them. They are a local shop, not a chain. Sometimes there might be a little bit of a wait but it is worth the time.

Went in last minute at the direction of a buddy due to my normal barber being closed for the holidays and me needing a haircut for my wedding. I'm not a big fan of change when it comes to my barber considering it takes time to find one that can do a perfect fade. Calvin did an awesome job and hooked me up with that perfect fade. It's nice that they also still do the hot neck shave. These guys will deffinately be my new back up!

Just left with a great, slick cut! Real cool shop that is nothing over-the-top, but has great service. I walked in around 9 o'clock on a Saturday morning and was immediately seated in a barber's chair. Calvin was my barber and I would highly recommend! I'll be going back to Brentwood to get my next cut👍
