Worth every single penny!!! Claire is amazing and helped prepare me for labor/delivery during my third trimester and has been essential for my postpartum recovery! My labor didn't go as planned but I am so grateful I had our sessions to fall back on to help guide me throughout the process. All the breath work and pelvic floor exercises we practiced helped familiarize my body to be in any position. Pelvic floor therapy during pregnancy is a must and I recommend a few sessions for postpartum as well! I will definitely be seeing Claire for all my future pregnancies!

Scheduling
I was 4 weeks postpartum when I frantically decided to call NOLA Pelvic Health –and I am so grateful that I did. After a tough pregnancy and delivery, I just couldn’t take “it’s normal” as the response to the symptoms and concerns I shared with my ob. The receptionist answered the phone and asked a couple questions to help get me scheduled, she was thoughtful, empathetic, and did not make me feel like I was overreacting – she consulted with one of the DPTs and explained exactly what to expect (since it was before the six week mark there were certain things they could not do in the initial visit, ex. Internal pelvic exam).
Intake + Therapy
I was lucky to have Claire Schott Lusignan as my Pelvic Physical Therapist. At the intake, Claire was prepared, she had read my intake notes, she had follow-up questions, she was genuinely interested in my experience (pre-pregnancy through postpartum), symptoms, concerns and goals for therapy. She walked me through everything she was doing and educated me on the “why”. We developed a plan, she answered all my questions, and gave me some exercises to work on between our appointments. I left my initial appointment feeling seen and heard for the first time in a long time.
I continued to see Claire over the course of several months and it was always such a positive experience. I felt so much relief in just the first 2 visits. But the best part was that I felt so empowered and prepared because I was educated about my options. Claire would always send me a recap of what we worked on, my home exercises, and any resources or extras we had discussed.
Cost
After experiencing this level of professionalism and care, it’s easy to understand why they don’t take insurance. The care you receive is so different from major hospital systems where you’re just a number and you get 5 minutes with the doctor. At NOLA Pelvic Health, my appointments always started on time, and I got the full hour of service. It was worth every single penny. My only regret is that I didn’t engage with NOLA Pelvic Health during my pregnancy.
Final thoughts
I recommend pelvic floor PT to everyone I speak to – it really should be standard care. I am so lucky that I found The Vagina Whisperer and that I happened to live in New Orleans. Postpartum is a journey and it helps to have a supportive team. From the bottom of my heart – THANK YOU Claire and NOLA Pelvic Health!

I received pelvic floor PT from Nola Pelvic Health for both of my pregnancies and postpartum recovery during the last three years. I saw a different therapist for each pregnancy. Both therapists were extremely knowledgeable, caring, compassionate, understanding, and most importantly, delivered A+ results. The therapy rooms are private, professional, and comfortable. My most recent visit was with Ashley and she addressed all of my postpartum concerns and provided me with therapies/exercises I can do at home improve my recovery. She also provided me with information and medical based literature regarding my questions and finished the appointment with a physical exam of my core, pelvic floor, and pelvic girdle stability/mobility. I’ve learned so much about how to protect my core and how to safely perform daily activities like lifting my baby or toddler and getting out of bed properly. Ashley’s dry needling skills are outstanding— gentle but effective— always providing me with relief from muscle pain and tension. I’m forever grateful for the care I received at Nola Pelvic Health. Even the administrative staff are wonderful— frequently calling to offer me earlier appointments if a cancellation occurred. Overall, my experience here was wonderful. If you’re unsure whether to book an appointment, just do it. You will not regret it.

Sara has helped me during pregnancy and post partum. I truly don’t know what I would have done without her during pregnancy and now post partum. She is thorough and always makes the time to have your concerns heard. I truly feel that I had a great pregnancy and now post partum due to her guidance. I highly recommend her to all women, not just pregnant or post partum!!

BOOK THE APPOINTMENT! I can’t say enough about Nola Pelvic Health. Ashley and Claire are truly incredible. I was battling with a tailbone injury from my 2nd birth and encased scar tissue from a c-section. Ashley was so knowledgeable and explained everything to me. I feel so much more educated about my body, and Ashley gave me the tools to continue exercises at home.

I have had an great experience with NOLA Pelvic Health. All the staff are warm and caring. I have worked with Ashley for a little less than a year and have felt real improvement. Ashley is very communicative at our appointments and even in between our appointments when I need some extra support. You can feel the passion Ashley has for her work and patients. She is super knowledgeable, I have learned so much about my body from her. Would definitely recommend!

I worked with Claire to help with girdle pain the last month of my pregnancy. She really listened and helped me find relief as well as prepare my pelvic floor for labor and delivery. I really believe the work we did together helped me have a non-traumatic labor and delivery and quick postpartum recovery. Highly recommend NOLA Pelvic Health.

I can't say enough great things about Claire! The added cost for out of network care has been well worth it. I have seen several previous pelvic floor PTs and Claire has been the most efficient and knowledgeable in helping me work towards my therapy goals.

I cannot express enough how wonderful pelvic floor therapy from Claire has been for my pregnancy and post-partum journey. From the first session when I was pregnant, I was greeted with empathy and professionalism. I loved that she taught me about the pelvic floor and its functions, which really helped give me confidence and soothed my anxiety when I was in labor. During postpartum, she helped my back pain and how to slowly increase my flexibility and strength. If you're considering pelvic floor therapy, I wholeheartedly recommend taking that step towards health and well-being.

Ashley helped me with stress urinary incontinence post vaginal delivery. She is encouraging, motivating, friendly, knowledgeable, and supportive. She really helps you understand your problems and tweaks exercises with each appointment using superb attention to detail to build upon each visit. Makes you feel relaxed in an expected awkward situation.

Sara gives incredible, personalized, real care. I have been working on restrengthening my core for better functionality after 2 pregnancies and Sara has helped me feel so much better, stronger and stable. Her online postpartum workout series is amazing, it’s totally manageable to do fun new exercises for 10 minutes a day (each day of the 12 week program is different) and it makes a huge difference. I couldn’t recommend NOLA Pelvic Health more, not just for folks having babies but for anyone to better understand their pelvic floor (including your core) health and functionality. Thank you for the amazing care!

The most wonderful care team. I was having weekly unbearable flares due to painful bladder syndrome when I found Nola Pelvic Health. I work with Claire who has made the whole experience as comfortable as can be. Claire is kind, gentle, and truly wants the best for her patients. The personalized care you receive here is unmatched. They make getting you in to be seen a priority, which means a lot when you are suffering from this type of pain. Since beginning physical therapy at Nola Pelvic Health, my flares have subsided. When I get the occasional irritation, I know what steps to take and I know I have someone there to reach out to with any questions or concerns. I could go on forever about the amazing care at Nola Pelvic Health. This office and incredible staff have changed my life and gotten me back to a normalcy that I didn’t know if I would find again. Many thanks to this team and to Claire!

The team at NOLA Pelvic Health is top-notch. I’ve worked with Ashley for 2+ years and have also seen Sara. The practice is very warm & inviting and incredibly patient-centric. These ladies know what they are doing and have been so helpful during pregnancy and postpartum. They were the first people I saw after delivery (besides my family & doula) and will be a continual part of my recovery & strength building. Highly recommend!

I've been going to Ashley for the last 6 months or so to help me with multiple postpartum pelvic floor challenges I've experienced after two c-sections. She is incredibly communicative, kind, and clear in her instructions and questions. Not only have my physical challenges improved greatly, but I also always leave appointments feeling listened to and taken care of. I highly recommend NOLA Pelvic Health!

Being a patient here has been once of the best PT/medical treatment experiences in my life. Ashley and team are incredibly awesome. Super accommodating, very professional, and know their stuff. Being a male, I didn't know a lot about pelvic health until my wife recently had a baby, and I'm very glad I started engaging with NOLA Pelvic Health to work on some pelvic pain caused by a bone spur.

Ashley as a practitioner is incredible. Always making you feel welcome, listening to your needs, and her positive energy just radiates. For a very sensitive topic/region, she really makes you feel welcomed and comfortable. She's helped me a ton work through pain that has been plaguing me for years. 10/10 worth your time and effort.

I love running, so having a baby and going through the postpartum experience was pretty intimidating for me. I wanted to ensure I could return to doing what I love long term & not have issues related to this pop up in the future. Choosing to pursue PT with Claire at NOLA Pelvic Health was one of the best decisions I could have made! Claire was so thorough and made sure my return to running was as smooth and seamless as possible. Now I feel confident as ever back on the run. Pelvic floor therapy is so so so important, especially postpartum & I couldn’t recommend Claire & NOLA pelvic health more!

NOLA Pelvic Health is a world-class clinic to receive care - from reception to treatment, I knew I was in great hands from my first appointment. Claire helped me tremendously while I was recovering from endometriosis excision surgery and I cannot say enough good things about my experience. I was very impressed by her depth of knowledge, wide variety of techniques, and her passion for helping people with pelvic issues. Anyone under the sun could benefit from pelvic physical therapy, and as someone who has long suffered with pelvic pain, it’s done wonders to relieve my pain and work to prevent it from recurring.

Claire has given me my life back! When I started seeing her about 6 months ago, I was on the verge of considering surgery for my pelvic floor dysfunction. After my first session with Claire, I left the office feeling like a weight had been lifted off of my shoulders and had hope that I could regain the freedom I had pre-pregnancy. She took time to educate me on my pelvic floor and gave me the tools to troubleshoot my problem areas/symptoms on my own. My only regret is that I didn’t pull the trigger and go to Nola Pelvic Health sooner - it would’ve saved me so much suffering! I can’t say enough good things about Claire and the practice!! If you’re debating scheduling an appointment…DO IT!!!

I highly recommend NOLA Pelvic Health to anybody who is pregnant or has ever been pregnant! They will give you exercises and help you prepare for childbirth and how to recover afterwards. I initially saw Emily after my C-section with my first child, then she helped me with my 2nd pregnancy to prepare for and have a successful VBAC. I used so many of the techniques we practiced while in labor. She gave me the confidence to try for a vaginal delivery and it was one of the proudest moments of my life. She gave me many very helpful exercises to do while pregnant. Now she is helping me with recovery and how to return safely to working out and running. Also my husband saw Sara after a hernia surgery. We love NOLA Pelvic Health!!!
