Missouri Baking Co is a very cute bakery on the Hill. Despite the crowd, the wait is always short, thanks to quick service. The selection is vast, making it tough to choose, but you can't go wrong. Everything tastes fresh & delicious, especially the cannoli - truly awesome. Definitely a go-to spot for delightful treats. Highly recommended!

A must stop if you're on The Hill!! You will be greeted and waited on by teens, and they are hard working and very polite! Wonderful selection of items, we went here before lunch and had to use a lot of self control to not just gobble up the pecan stollen and lemon Danish! Made this one of my favorite stops!

My kids found this treasure last year. Brought me back as we are heading home to Arkansas. Mimi is a treasure to The Hill community with her friendliness. The place got busy while we were there and she just kept giving us great customer service as Mim took over like a busy little bee with a big smile on her face! This place is as pleasing to the eye as it is to the palate! I have never tasted such bakery goodness!
They are the epitome of “local small family business.” Mimi gave a quick rundown of the history which is generations of bakers!

Mimi is an absolute delight and has the best baked goods I've ever tasted! Everything she suggested and I picked was amazing. I'm ashamed to say I are all 4 of the years myself! Go there now!

Selection is wonderful as are the deserts!! They are cash only so before you start pointing out everything you want! There were 4 people ahead of us and the line moved quickly!!

My daughter and I visited this morning and got the giant apple strudel. So so so good. We will be back. The owner was also super patient with my daughter's questions for class.

My daughter and I visited on our way through St. Louis after reading the great reviews. The staff and the other customers in the bakery were so welcoming and helpful! There are no prices on items but they have a price list so you can ask before you order. Our favorites were the ricotta cannoli, the gooey butter cake, and the custard puffs. So yummy!

This is the best bakery in STL. I have no idea how I'm a local and I slept on it forever but I wanted a fantastic local cheesecake for my fiance's birthday. So, checked for best desserts in STL. This place tops out every list on Google, and does it for a reason. The Amaretto cheesecake was immaculate, and if I wasn't being very careful I would have ended up buying half the store. The prices are better than they have any right to be and the staff is lovely. If you want dessert, a treat, a snack, whatever, just go here. It's worth it. A local family owned treasure.

Update August 2023:
Stopped in for some goodies today and some pleasantries with Mimi. It's always nice to see her and chat for a little bit on what's been going on in our lives. She's such a friendly and kind soul working her buns off every day at her families Bakery.
Please get out and visit the bakery to support a local woman's business or order cakes, muffins, cookies,cobblers, coffee cakes, and so much more.
Today, she had a fresh peace coffee cake that looked so yummy. I had to get one. My favorite are her custard puffs, and my little brother likes the cheesecake & German chocolate. Since little brother had knee replacement, I thought he would enjoy some goodies from Missouri Bakery too. If you have never visited this bakery on the Hill, you're missing out big time. Big Shout Out to the staff and Mimi for always being so friendly and having tons of goodies to choose from every time I visit. Cobblers ate on Fridays, so don't miss out! Now that I know that, gotta make sure I get one ordered.

Went back yesterday, and lordy they had peach cobbler, chocolate raspberry muffins, sugar cookies w/icing, and my favorite custard puffs.

Nice short walk across street after lunch at Zia's. Wife wanted Tiramisu. She got two plus a Napolean. I had the chocolate topped custard filled puff pastry. Everything was outstanding. Nice selection of other treats. Will definitely go back.

My husband and I have been here twice now. It has been delicious both times. Here is a list of things we got; cheese danish, pinapple upside down cake, marshmallow creme roll, amaretto cheesecake, saturday special custard creme puff, chocolate marshmallow mound, and assorted cookies. If you want top-notch baked goods, this is where you need to go!

Got a tip that this place had the best Gooey Butter Cake in St. Louis so checked it out. Just so many options with other desserts and pastries. We ended up getting 2 full sheets of Gooey Butter Cake. This tasted kinda lemony, not sure if that is the usual style or if there actually is Lemon Gooey Butter Cakes and if we got the wrong one. It was still good but 2nd in STL. Our favorite is Russell's Cake on Macklind. Missouri Baking Company does beat MacArthurs, Park Avenue Coffee, Schnucks though. We also ordered the Amaretto Cheesecake slice, 2 Custard Filled Beignets with Chocolate on top, Lemon Pound Cake and Chocolate Drops. Everything was solid but I would 1000% get more Chocolate Drops again, that was perfectly made.

We went for the gooey butter cake, we left with much more - chocolate drops (order as many as you can afford, these were amazing), sfogliatelle (just wow), and more that I don’t remember the names of. Bottom line, you cannot go wrong. The person who helped us was super patient, helpful and friendly. My husband said he’d like to move to The Hill neighborhood just to be able to visit the bakery regularly.

My boys and I have a tradition of going the last open morning before Christmas since they could walk. They are teenagers now and still get excited about the trip . I have sampled pretty much everything in the place and love all of it. It’s a must go at least a couple times a year

Yummy desserts. Great friendly service, great pricing , and so much to choose from, hard not get one of everything. Lol delicious, would recommend a trip to the Hill . Oh , bring cash.

Just the cutest little family bakery ever. Everyone was super helpful and fast. Definitely worth a stop if you're in town! The gooey butter cake was my favorite. Great part of town, too. Lots of Italian restaurants.

What a gem! We stumbled upon this bakery while having lunch across the street at Zia's. We stopped in and what an absolute treat it was to see lots of traditional Italian treats as well as other freshly baked goods. I grabbed a tiramisu and a creamy cannoli and they were delicious! Stop on by and support local. You will NOT be disappointed.
