We saw this house on Wakelon advertised for rent at 1250 a month, really nice house, so we called for an appointment, my husband went to meet the realtor. My husband had not known the price was 1250 on the website, so he was told that it was going for 1350. So he signed the lease. He realised later that it had been advertised for 1250. Anyway. We were desperate and settled in the house. On the first day, things started falling apart, kitchen drawers falling off. The sink wooden piece in front fell in front of her eyes. She said, "thats on the family that left." So it was fixed later. 3 days later. A kitchen drawer falls off, she sends somebody to fix. Two guys come in and they put the drawer back without any fixing. Second and third time the same thing happened. He finally adds a rails on the third time. The same drawer breaks the front wooden piece that has tha handle. This time the lady sends us an email and states that we are letting the kids play with the drawers and that's why they are breaking. The man comes and takes the drawer away, brings it back after a week fixed and said "someone was hanging on the drawer that's why it broke." So I asked him to demonstrate how someone would be hanging on it and why a child would only choose the drawer that has a weakness. He left a voucher for $125 for us to pay and said he wasn't going to argue with us. Many other things were fixed after we were in. Moving out, the asked us to paint the sites that we had damaged and we agreed. Now the owner says we didn't do a good job and now he is looking for a professional to give an estimate. I wonder are we painting the whole house. When will the owner ever fix the house if he waits for tenants to fix when they move out. Live here at your own peril!
