Archer Lodge Express - C.E. Barnes Store

I really enjoyed the old owners but there were always empty shelves and nothing in there to drink. It's kind of like an empty gas station with no gas pumps. But the new owner shoves are always full. Plenty of drinks. Plenty of snacks. Looks like they're fixing the gas pumps. Hopefully staying this way makes it way easier than driving all the way to food Lion to pick up some milk or a drink or a snack. You can just stop in at your local little shop and get everything you need and one spot. Super happy this guy bought it and revamped the entire place.

Great country store! They have a variety of local items. Simple Natural ice cream🙌 It’s the best! The owner was delightful. They have different food trucks set up and ice cream truck out back. Picnic tables in the back area along with a tree swing. It is worth a stop to check them out.

We just moved to the area and love this store. They are always friendly and love the fact that they always have a good rotation of food trucks.

A significant landmark of Archers Lodge that does a fantastic job of advertising events and food trucks that come daily (besides Sunday) on their Facebook and Instagram page. Their is a food truck line up daily and each day offers a variety of different types of food.

I love this little country store. It is my go to place for filling up my small propane tanks.

He sells some interesting things inside for sure. I love his amazing bacons he gets in. There are a few nick-nacks for sale that are even fun if you are a local. They are super nice people. Military friendly to vets. Helpful and nice to women.
They often offer to put my propane tank in the truck for me.
Super nice but I am strong enough to do it myself. They are heavy, but not that heavy for me.

They have a very convenient CASH Point ATM there available 24x7 and well lit. I have seen the sheriff's office in that area at night several times over the last 10 years so even local law enforcement keep an eye on that area so I always feel safe at night there.

Drop in and support a local business if you are in the area. I am sure there is something cite, tasty, or just cold to drink to take away with you.

Great little local store. Great owners - always friendly. A lot of local items from local crafts people and growers. And a GREAT lineup of food trucks every day - except Sunday :)

Interesting place. Very southern. Kind of gift shoppe rather than country General Store. Great assortment of beer.be prepared to pay the price but there's convenience and nostalgia you're paying for. Great choices of food vendors. They could use some additional seating for when food vendors are there.

Recommend going here at least twice. Once for the decor and second time to purchase some good items - the drink selection is great. The t-shirts and printed items are unique. Antiques are everywhere, a blast from the past! Go here soon!

Love this place! Super convenient if you live in the area; worth the trip if you don't. Fantastic local products, from food to gift items. The best bacon ever. They have great food trucks. Also standard convenient store items. Very friendly and helpful staff. They support small and local businesses so support them!!

This is a cute wonderful store full of local/regional items! Pottery, art, shirts, hats, craft beer, wine, snacks, bottled soda. The two guys working were proud of their store and it was obvious. The perfect stop on our road trip. They also had a food truck outside with tacos! Gas and propane, too.

This is must-visit for anyone that lives in the area or is passing by. They've recently expanded to start selling beer and they have a great selection for a corner store! They occasionally have variety packs as well. Sodas, single beers, and snacks can be consumed on-site in the sitting area inside or on the porch. C.E. Barnes hosts events frequently including food trucks, wine/beer tastings, and open air markets. They do a great job keeping up with the changing world and offering something for everyone!

It's an historical site. Mr. Charles E. Barnes passed on in 2007. His wife followed this year (2018). Store is now run by son & grandson. Contents modernized but building is still authentic.

Wow 😮 friendly staff, owner is amazing Definitely make sure there customer's are satisfied 😊.This store is like walking in your first store as a little girl 😍 old school store for shore its amazing how it was the owners great grandfather's who build back in decades,decor is phenomenal, definitely a spot you should stop by to take a look for yourself.Also food truck outside on Tuesdays that have great steak taco's.Also Cash points located on outside.

Great “old fashioned” type general store like when I grew up. Everything is a convenience store these days - nice to take a little break when I visit Barnes!
