Riverside Restaurant and Provisions

The hamburgers are out of this world. French fries are hand cut and fresh. My husband got the cucumber salad and it was very good as well. I truly hope this place makes it. Solid menu.

In addition to eating lunch at this place we also kayaked two days earlier and the service was wonderful. We we dropped off up the river and very much enjoyed our ride down the New River. I preferred this place over Rivergirl.

Stopped in for breakfast on 6-12-21

Super friendly staff. I am gluten free by allergy. I was able to eat grits, bacon and sausage, and very fresh fruit which consisted of strawberries, grapes, and blueberries. The other guest with me had a huge Belgian waffle, omelette with cheese and spinach, and bacon. Two eggs over easy with bacon and grits, and a sausage and cheese sandwich. Home fries were awesome as well. Everything was very good and as I looked around the clean dining room everyone else seemed to be very happy as well.

Once again, small menu but everything on it is very good. This place is worth your stop.

My mother lives in Todd, so I was visiting last week. The version of the Cuban was really good. Really big and worth the money. Mom enjoyed her club.

What a great little restaurant. Nestled away in the hills. Very home style feel. Food is very comfort like. Delicious of course. Glad we stopped.

Great place to eat! The food was fresh, hot, and delicious! We each had a sub sandwich and they both were so good! You should definitely check out this little mountain restaurant!

First time eating here after a tubing trip on the New River. The food was outstanding and the service was good. I would highly recommend the Cowboy Up Burger. The fries are what I believe to be the signature of this place. Hot and freshly made! We came as a group of 30 and the place was able to accommodate us. The historic building is something to admire as well. Looking forward to our next trip there!

What a hidden gem in Todd! Our first visit this weekend and we were impressed with the fresh flounder and shrimp, both lightly breaded and delicious. The homeade coleslaw was finely chopped and seasoned well and the sautéed veggies were exceptional. Hubby had the country fried steak and it too was tasty. Service was good and the restaurant was immaculate! All homemade from scratch. We will be back. They also serve brunch Sat and Sun. Check them out!

My wife and I plus our neighbors were riding our bikes on Railroad Grade Road and stopped at Riverside for lunch. We all got something different and everything was delicious. The easy laid back atmosphere fit perfectly. We all agreed that we would be back soon. I highly recommend Riverside if you are in this area.

Now this is the place to go. Stopped in to have a early lunch. So many items to choose from.. Got the "TONYS STEAK SANDWICH", which is a cheese steak sandwich and it was superb, the shoe string fries were very good. The tea, first cup in years, was great. Most places over sweeten the tea. The lady whom took my order was very kind. The, what I believe to be, owner even ask me how my sandwich was . Impressive service for this day and time we live in. Really liked the country feel and atmosphere of the place.

Just visited again today! Had another Tony's steak sandwich, just as I remembered. Same lady waited on me this time too. Awesome people awesome place.

Good Food. They serve shoe string fries wish they had a option for crinkle cut fries

Had a good lunch, I ordered the Conner burger, it’s been years since I can remember a burger as good as this. Reminded me of the way my mom cooked them, so good and more than I could eat.Busy at lunch but the staff was courteous and worked their butts off. Highly recommend

In its second year of operation, the Riverside Restaurant reopened on April 15, 2022. We live three miles away, and decided to eat supper there tonight.

We both ordered the fresh shrimp and flounder dinner. Oh my goodness! The portions were huge, the food piping hot and delicious, and our sweet waitress was accommodating. The place was busy, but she gave us excellent service.

We brought home enough leftovers for tomorrow.

Local is the way to go. We support local restaurants in Watauga and Ashe counties.

During a wonderful stay at Heaven Bound cabin, we found this gem at the bottom of the mountain. Service was great, food came out hot, fast, and delicious! No waiting for over an hour just to get seated like it is in Boone. The building is on the National Register of Historic Places, but has been renovated beautifully and is super clean. They also have live music on occasion. We will definitely be back!

We had an amazing early dinner after tubing. The fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese and bacon jam are to die for. We also had perfectly cooked BBQ chicken. My son loved his spaghetti and meatballs. Put this on your high country visit itinerary!!

Amazing burgers! Hand patted and obviously made with love. These burgers were huge and we could have probably shared one but were glad we each got our own! Also the fries were habit forming!

Stopped in the the first time today. Lovely country setting. I had the steak sandwich and it was spectacular!! I’m from the Philly area (home of Philly Cheesesteaks). This steak sandwich is one of the best. Highly recommend!

A little off the beaten path but totally worth it! Great stop just a little ways off the blue ridge parkway.

Just reopened and looks great. The location is beautiful and the building is fantastic inside. Great menu with a nice selection of sandwiches and BBQ. Had the cuban sandwich with pulled pork - absolutely incredible. Can’t wait to float down the river and end here for a great day!

Delicious food, great staff, kind folks in the area. Down home cooking breakfast, lunch or dinner! My 79 year old dad loved it while we were visiting the mountains area.

Always fresh food our family really enjoys all they have to offer. Great burgers and frys. You'll never leave there hungry great place to relax and chill. Awesome atmosphere 👌
