Cagney's Kitchen Midway

Came here on their 1st week open and left without getting any attention to be seated. Tried it again this morning and everything went smoothly. Delicious hot fresh food at great prices with very friendly staff. Jaya was an excellent server!

They've now moved to their new location next door, which is a great improvement. Very clean and larger seating area. The food is still excellent and the wait staff is wonderful!

First time visiting Cagney's. Had baked fettuccine carbonara and it was delicious! Husband had fried pork chops, broccoli casserole and stewed apples. Said it was delicious. Staff so friendly. No waiting. So good, we came back the next day for breakfast!! I had country ham, eggs, grits and biscuit. Damn good!! Husband had smoked sausage, eggs, grits and biscuit. Sooo good. This little place was a gem! Thank you!

We were heading north and found this great diner.

Service was good. Menu was huge.

Clam chowder was very good.
Country beef tips over rice and gravy and Cucumber salad great.

Nice thick chicken breast for the chicken sandwich. Broccoli casserole was great.

A bit dated but worth the stop.

This is the 3rd time I've been here in 2 weeks. Food was delicious as always!!! I had the new French Dip sandwich and fries. My boyfriend had the Philly sandwich with fries. Their sweet tea is absolutely wonderful!!! Low score for atmosphere but the building is old and they are moving very soon to a new building right next door. Can't wait to try them out there too!!!

Cagney's Kitchen reminds me of the best England food and the old school way with seasoning and cooking. I would usually breakdown what I ate but real home cooking is home cooking whether everything is done from scratch or majority. I have actually fell in love with their grits as a first timer so you can say love at first taste?? And love at first bite would be the biscuit...of which love at first bite sounds kind of vampire-ish. The food comforting for sure sure.

1st time at new restaurant they jus opened..Was surprised upon arrival to pick up a Togo order. Parking lot full.. Place was busy. Was surprised to see a drive window for to go orders. Right on time like they said. Had a great Greek salad with gyro lamb on it.. Tzikaki sauce was on point. Also baked lazagna. Had the hint of cinnamon in it. Definitely Greek recipe and delicious. Will be using this place often..Prices are right. They jus need to update prices online as they are not close to actual prices. 4years old and times have changed..

I stopped at Cagneys kitchen, just to check out this homey small restaurant café serves the best fried chicken I’ve ever had in North Carolina their Tuesday special they have a special every day that is so worth the cost always delicious! The waitresses were so warm and socialized with the patrons don’t miss this trait of a small restaurant five stars all the way. !!!

We recently had the honor of dining at Cagney's Kitchen in Midway, and we cannot stop raving about the breakfast food we ordered. It was simply exquisite! Not only were the flavors on point, but the portions were much larger than we expected. We were pleasantly surprised by the generous portion sizes, especially considering the price was absolutely bearable in these hard-pressed times.

From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcomed and provided excellent service throughout our meal. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, creating a comfortable dining experience. The attention to detail in both the food and the service truly impressed us.

Cagney's Kitchen truly deserves a perfect star review from us. The combination of exceptional breakfast food, generous portions, and affordable prices make it a standout among local restaurants. We highly recommend giving this place a try if you're in the Midway area. Trust us, you won't be disappointed!

Great food and service, the new building is awesome and has tons of room.

The atmosphere will be changing soon as they are waiting to get into their new building right next door. The people are great, the food is great, and this is a staple in my household.

Very friendly wait staff, quick service and it didn't take long to get my order.
I had their marinated chicken strips with cooked cabbage and stewed apples. I asked about dessert and they had a nice selection of cakes, I can't wait until I get a chance to try some. I did get a banana pudding to go. It tasted fine but it could have used a little more banana and wafers.
The overall experience was great and easily worth the $11.00 plus tip I spent.
Seriously you should check them out, especially if you like old fashioned cooking.

Brooke was our main waitress. She and Lindsay made sure we never went without anything. Brooke bent over backwards to make sure our food was right. Brooke was very friendly and was always smiling.
Every now and then you could hear her laugh through the restaurant.
