Hankins and Whittington was very nice and polite throughout our whole experience. Morgan was very helpful in guiding us through the experience. She was always available to answer any questions we had. Joe was also very helpful the night of visitation and for the funeral. When we discovered a problem at the cemetery Joe stayed and made sure that it was corrected. We have used Hankins and Whittington services as long as I can remember and will continue to use them.

JOE is the best funeral director in life. He makes you feel like family and takes on much as he can I order to allow you to grieve. I thank you all an Mrs. HELEN is absolutely soothing 😌 ☺... I appreciate those funeral home so much for helping me with my son's home going 💙.

Every single detail of my family's experience with Hankins & Whittington was more than satisfactory. Joseph, Morgan and Peggy were extremely kind and professional. We were shocked when Peggy called to tell us we would receive a $1,500 refund from our loved-ones pre-paid insurance policy. We would never have known. They also did an excellent job coordinating with a funeral home in another city to have the deceased taken to Charlotte in a timely manner. Thanks to all who made our challenging time less stressful.

The staff at Hankins and Whittington could not have been nicer, from the first time they came to Mom’s home in the middle of the night upon her death, to my visit at the funeral home to make arrangements, and finally to their presence at the graveside service. Everyone was polite and so empathetic. I will now take my daughter to Hankins and Whittington and make arrangements for my own final plans, just as my mother had done with me for her home going. This has been my first time planning a funeral and everyone at Hankins and Whittington have been very helpful!

My husband passed away unexpectedly and we chose Hankins and Whittington’s Funeral Home. I had an absolutely wonderful experience, not a complaint I could make. Joe helped my family and I with the arrangements, and he took great care of us. 10/10 would recommend and will use for future arrangements.

Before my Grandmother passed she made it clear...She wanted Hankins and Whittington to handle her funeral care needs. She had heard great things about how they handled some of her friends finial arrangements. How pleased their loved ones were. With her passing I contacted them. From the beginning they were comforting, helpful, really seemed to care. My husband and I went in to plan and make decisions for her arrangements. I was displeased with her Insurance company. I knew my Grandmother's policies were not a lot. But felt the ammount of money she paid over the years, for the amount of years she paid. They should have been enough to cover the choices made. Simple and humble choices, with meaning. We finally had everything picked out and planned. After finding out her policies would not be sufficient to cover the casket picked out, decisions made for a nice small service for her, etc. We had to go back to H & W to discuss modifications...they were very understanding, helpful with alternative choices, and cut some of the cost. It ment a lot, esp taking all that time as hard as it was emotionally to make those decisions the first round, then going a second. It all worked out. I felt relieved and at peace.
In Sept 2021, I was diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma. Finding myself in a position to get all of my finial arrangements in order...Hankins & Whittington, is the furneral home I have decided to have handle my arrangements as well. I just hope my family has as good of an experience with them. I want as little for my family to think about, as well as the least amount of decisions to make.
