Dorchester County Library

The staff is always friendly and willing to help. ♿ the entryway has automatic doors, and the book drop is low enough to be reached by patrons in wheelchairs. The bathroom has transfer bars and is large enough for 2 people. They have walkers with seats for patrons who may not be to stand or stoop.

This is a local library, with a good selection of print books, audio books, and a moderate selection of DVDs. Lots of families use the library. There are comfortable tables to work at, as well as several sets of carrels, which also have power strips. The free wifi is decent, at about 80 MBPS both up and down when I was there last. The staff is helpful and friendly. There are meeting rooms, but I have not used them. The atmosphere is very librsry-like: mostly quiet, with occasional children's voices and adults discussing. On Sunday when I was at the library, one man was tutoring another for an electrician's exam.

The library has added PS4 and XBOX games to it's available rentals. The library has audiobooks, mangas, and books of course. The staff is helpful, the space is restful and the restrooms are some of the cleanest.

Clean, quiet and well stocked. Staff is friendly and helpful. Love to come here with my mom and my niece! And-BONUS…they’ve got video games for my Switch.

Always support your local libraries. This one has a good selection of books, very friendly staff, and is very cozy to hang out in. If books aren't your jam, they also have a decent selection of video games, CD's, and DVD's.

Very pleasant staffs and a cool library. Good place to bring your kids, they have a number of vibrant groups for all the ages. A spacious library but lack in parking space.

The library was bright, clean and airy. The staff member who signed me up, was helpful and kind. I will be going back and attending some of their special events this fall.

I love taking my family here on the weekends. Most of the staff is incredibly helpful and patient. The children's programs are wonderful and the kids area is always clean and we'll taken care of. I appreciate the self checkout kiosks and instant book return drops. Looking forward to the new libraries!

New post-pandemic management and staff have wide variety of programs and services. Libraries like this stayed relevant to the community where newspapers could not. Dorchester can be proud of this facility! ☆☆☆☆☆

Love the self checkout! I can tell they really put effort into programs. I loved the bag of crafts and winter reading programs. Thank you. The Hoopla app and its selection of movies and shows is great! Kids love being able to test drive video games b4 buying. The pop up book sales by FOSL are so CONVENIENT!

My husband and I were just at this library to do some copying. As we are not library members, it took some IT assistance from Jared and Charlotte to get the job done. We thank them for their help! And what a beautiful library you have!

Visiting from out of town and what a great library, superb staff, and will definitely stop when in town.

The staff is always so helpful and friendly! My children love coming here. There’s always something going on too that I know will keep my boys engaged and eager to come back the next time! They also have a great selection of books and movies.

The staff have been friendly and helpful. We've recently become cardholders, but so far, the experience has been great! I bought some books from their book sale, and the ladies provided me with a cart and offered to assist me in wheeling it out to my truck. I politely declined. It was such a courteous offer! I haven't really checked their check-out selection yet. If you're wanting a certain title, you can ask for it to be held from another library.

Always helpful and knowledgeable staff. They treat us like family, our kids have participated in their Children's programs, they do a great job. It could use a better parking lot, but that is not in the librarians hands (otherwise it would have been fixed a long time ago) that is Dorchester County issue.

Great library to study, use the computer enter, relax and read. There are plenty of activities for all ages.

Had to update our library cards. Staff was very polite and efficient. Business handled quickly. All staff and patrons were wearing masks. Felt totally safe while in the library.

My grandchildren and I love, going to this Library! The staff is always super helpful and friendly! We especially love the "Children's To Go Bags"! Perfect for our preschooler!

I enjoy going to this library, the staff is always helpful and friendly. I really like the ability to place holds & transfers of books in the system. It makes getting a particular book easy.
