Sunrise Bistro Summerville

This was a random stop we made, but the sign was correct. My wife said the shrimp & grits (she got the BBQ special with bacon) were the best she ever had.
I would also recommend the potato bowl special which had shrimp, chorizo, peppers, onions and a cream sauce over breakfast potatoes--the sauce made the meal. Also liked that the tails were already removed from the shrimp.
Only downside was the coffee was a bit weak for my liking.
Service was as expected with kind, Southern hospitality.

Bryan was great (other than being a gamecock fan:) as a waiter. Food was amazing, but I did not love the cheese grits with cheddar jack).

The food was D-Liscious! The waffles were air fluffy! Our compliments to the chef!😘 Valentino was our host and he was AMAZING, KIND and HELPFUL! And let me tell you, the choices of coffee flavor were plenty and so good!! Try the Sunrise blend. You won't regret it!

Ten of us showed up on a Sunday morning with no reservation. The owner got us seated promptly. Coffee bar is such a great idea. There is nothing worse than waiting around hoping your server notices you need more coffee. The coffee was delicious. The service was very good although a couple of people waited too long for food. I had the turkey sausage omelet and it was wonderful. Kudos to the owner for running such a smooth operation.

I always enjoy the Firecracker Shrimp and Grits, but this visit I had the Crab Cake Benedict. Delicious. Thanks to my server's recommendation. Great service!

The food choices are phenomenal. The BBQ shrimp was the special for the day. It was flavorful, and the shrimp were cooked just right. I also got the parfait. It was loaded with blue berries, strawberries, blackberries, granola, and a fruit sauce all served in an extra sized mug. My husband had the chicken fried steak plate. Whatever your choice, you won't be disappointed.

When I visit Sunrise Bistro I end up with 2 entrees… I don’t know why. We’ve visited twice and get the Fried Green Tomatoes both times. Everything is good but not quite for everyone, my wife loves traditional breakfast, but Sunrise for her is a little over the top. I’ve had one of their variations of Shrimp and grits and liked it. The portions are big even for this big eater. So if you like large portions and a different take on breakfast, give them a shot.

Things didn't start off the best with the hostess and the lack of respect and customer service can be detrimental to a business. Fortunately after speaking with the Manger and being paired with our awesome waiter things were up from there. Being someone the frequents a diverse share of cuisines, the three meat shrimp and grits definitely left me speechless. The perfect blend of Cajun seasoning on the shrimp, creaminess of the grits, and the perfect touch of heat emitting from the broth...um um. Hats off to the chef and our waiter, you definitely saved this culinary experience.

Was recommended this place a while back, very glad to have finally stopped in. There ended up being a police event on-site and I was happy to see them treating our law enforcement with such care. As for our food it was amazing, especially my veggie omelet. No scarcity of quality vegetables, the coffee was great “self serve” We will be back for sure.

The food was outstanding, so fresh and flavorful! Nobody was disappointed in their meal selection. We had a wonderful dining experience Our server, Brian, was exemplary! Extremely accommodating for a group of six ladies👍🏻 A Great Big thank you for a lovely luncheon!

Great food, great service. I’ve had burgers here and I’ve had waffles. Both delicious. I would order again. Not sure about the other items. I would say don’t order flavored hot tea. You get one packet and a large cup of water. You have to pay for a second cup to get another tea bag.. doesn’t make sense when the cup is so big. I didn’t order it but my companion did and she was disappointed.

Food was amazing, waitress was nice and super fast, and the place is so cute! The coffee was also to die for, i didnt even need to add sugar. Ill definitely be back!

Lovely local brunch spot with strong coffee in an amazing variety of flavors, and the best eggs Benedict I've ever had (Bistro classic Benedict, sub bacon for the ham- the fresh baby spinach and split cherry tomates balance the richness of the dish perfectly). Weekly specials are seasonal and thoughtfully crafted.

What an awesome find! This place is amazing, super spacious inside, LOVE the self serve coffee bar, everyone was super friendly, the portions were HUGE and all the food was delicious!!! Highly recommend!

We were in town looking for some quick breakfast and sunrise bistro was just a mile away and had great reviews! Well they were all correct! Valentino is a great server, super polite and well-spoken, and checked in on us regularly making sure we had everything we needed. The food came out fast and it was delicious!! We got the French toast breakfast sandwich and the chicken and waffles. It was a great start to our morning and we definitely will come back soon!!

This was such a cute spot. It was clearly a local hot spot. Our waitress was friendly and offered great advice on the coffee bar: start with a half cup so you can try lots of their yummy flavors of coffee! The red velvet was my favorite. I went with the special, the burmuda triangle. It was a seafood eggs Benedict that was delicious! My friends went with the friend chicken and gravy biscuits and they loved them. They looked amazing! We also had the pulled pork bites which were little fried balls of southern heaven. Don't miss this spot if you're in Summerville!

Today was our first time at this location and I must say, we both were pleased with the service and the food. The crabby shrimp and grits was definitely a hit!! We would be dining here again in the near future and recommend to others.

My family and I LOVE going here for breakfast! We all enjoy the food, coffee and service! It's a Mom and Pop type of place which makes it a great place to eat! The coffee is unlimited, you can get your own cup as many times you want. They also have different flavor coffee so you can try something new each time. There's outdoor seating if you want to enjoy the outdoors. Sometimes you can catch live music being preformed here while eating. It can get pretty packed on the weekend so get here before the crowd does! Their food is so good and at an awesome price. I would try out this place if you are in the area!

Neighborhood restaurant with a truly southern flair; definitely a meeting place for old friends. Found this place by accident and my wife after reading the menu can't waite to go back. Food was great. Buffalo chicken sandwiches were spicy and the waffles were light and fluffy. The country fried steak Benedict was very rich with Hollandaise sauce and sausage gravy. Sitting on a bed of greens with a perfect biscuit this meal was big enough for two. Friendly staff that always had a big smile helped put a smile on your face. Looking forward to our next visit.
