My son absolutely loves this place. He loves the fact you get as much chips and salsa as you want. The artwork inside is really great, it gives the feel of old skool Mexico. Great atmosphere. You get big portions and the prices are fair. Lunch is even a better deal. The staff is prompt and courteous. The music is mariachi which is appropriate for the ambiance. All around great Mexican food 👌.

Probably the BEST FAJITAS in the Low Country! I am a personal fan of the Texas style, steak is tender, chicken is like butter, shrimp are delicious!
Excellent chips, cheese dip, and guacamole! I have eating fajitas all over the place and this location seems to do it best. Almost always on point and the 1 or 2 times in the last 5 years that it was not as good as usually, it was still better than most ever other place. Try them for yourself, all I can say is my family and I love going to eat there!

Good neighborhood restaurant with nice atmosphere. Free chips and salsa are served as an appetizer. We had the Carne Asada and the Burrito Bandeja which were both very good. The burrito comes with either chicken or steak with no extra charge for the steak option. Best part is that the bandeja or flag burrito actually looks like a Mexican flag!

Excellent food, excellent service, excellent price. We had the special of the day on Wednesday and it was fresh and delicious.

This place is great! The prices are perfect for what you get, and they have big drinks, big portions and a big menu that surely has something for everyone.

I've been eating here for more than a decade and can't say that I've ever been to a more consistently fantastic restaurant. I can't think of a single time I've ever been disappointed to any degree. The staff, food, prices, and atmosphere are worthy of more praise than I fit in this little review! Thank you for being so great! It is one my little pleasures in life to sit on your patio and eat!

This is one of the few restaurants that offers great pork dishes for lunch and dinner. Sure, ordering can be a bit tricky with some of the staff, but usually everything is perfect. We have been going here for five years and it is not only our favorite, but many of our guests from out of town want a repeat visit. The food is good, the prices are an incredible value and the service is attentive and fast. Got kids? Ask for the mild salsa for them. Prefer brown sauce over red sauce, ask for the enchilada sauce instead of the burrito sauce. They'll accommodate you. This is not, however, a four star restaurant. I award it five stars because of the value, good food and good service.

Always love eating here with the family. Their prices are great, food is always good, and we love their margaritas and other cocktails! Always great customer service too!

My server was awesome! I went in late, around 930, but they were super accommodating. The food was delicious, and (Eduardo? I think it was) was a ton of fun. Really turned a bad night around for my date and myself. I can't believe I haven't tried them before now. I'll definitely be back.

We came in with family and we're seated quickly to a nice big table booth. The food we ordered was quite a variety so I can't list it here but every bit of it was delicious. The service was great and the price was very reasonable. I strongly recommend them

This place is delicious and reasonably priced. Maybe even a little underpriced if you asked me. The waitstaff are all very kind and helpful. However, this has happened to me twice: they may forget your dip if you order it. Either remind them or don't. My family doesn't. If we get the dip its a nice surprise but if we don't its fine, we don't need yhe extra calories and lost change. Plus the meals themselves are so filling.

Also. I love them for personally handing out one bowl per person for the salsa! Its a nice touch that I appreciate deeply.

This has been one of my most favorite Mexican restaurants since I was in high school and it was new(20+ years 😱🥲!!). I love it still, and hope it stays around forever 😊

Great food, good, polite, fast service. Price is great for family night dinners. The kids love this place. Good for group meetings. Parking is free and easy. They have high chairs. Clean bathrooms. They do take out. I always check my order for take out from any place, but this place has never done me wrong.

It is a well established Mexican restaurant that has consistently put out good food at always reasonable prices! A great place for groups. A thing I love about La Carreta's the most is, they never let the place get stale. They are constantly updating the interior & the menu with new dishes so you can always try something new. Truly a wonder place to eat!

We had great food and service. Chicken had tons of flavor. Our server was very prompt attentive and friendly. The inside was cozy and clean unlike the Mexican place across the street. This is our go-to Mexican restaurant.

Ceviche was bomb. Perfect amount of chips and salsa. Salsa wasn't too thick and wasn't too thin. It actually had a little kick to it, which is surprising to find these days with all of the snowflakes floating around. Two thumbs up from this food critic

Hot sauces were on point! Good food and they aren't afraid to bring some heat. I like spicy food and the choice of spicier salsa's from the kitchen and not hot sauce from any local grocery bottle sets this place above the competition in my opinion.

Authentic food with great service. We're been coming here since they opened and many years later we have never been disappointed.

Fantastic people, and always great food and drinks! I've never had a bad experience here, and I have been more than 20 times. Their margaritas are the BEST in town.
