I was pleasantly surprised. Decided to pop in on a whim and found a great little local BBQ place. They have very nice dining areas, a great menu and it smells fantastic! I only had time and appetite for a small pulled pork sandwich and it was pretty much perfect. Great selection of sauces will make anyone happy. I'll definitely be back for more. If you love BBQ, this has to be on your short list

First time eating here! It was delicious BBQ! All sauces were great our favorite was sweet tea sauce.Young man that waited on us was very nice. I will definitely return again for Sunday lunch.

Just had this place and I'm struggling to keep my cool. It was simply amazing!

Bbq is super personal and everyone has their own thing, but this place is my thing! Each sauce had layers of flavor. Not just spice or just sweet. The ribs were delicious even by themselves, but taken to the next level with the sauces.

The brisket was good but not a show stopper. The greens and hash and rice were also solid. Banana pudding was great, but how do you really mess that up?

I've had my share of Charleston bbq but this place may be my favorite. It's right up there with Rodney Scotts. After just one visit it has shot up to somewhere I have to take family when they come to visit.

I'll definitely be back!!

The pit master is Cheyenne, they are open 6 days a week, closed Monday
They do Catering for events.

Tonight I got the Brisket platter, which is 1/3 pound of Brisket and 2 sides. My side were tater tots. Nothing fancy just maybe Ore-ida with a hint of onion salt.
Homemade mac & cheese was probably in top 4 that I've ever had. Look it's hard to get that 1 or 2 spot when it's 1&2 were made from someone's 90 year old grandma recipe
5 different sauces, normally I'm a mustard bbq guy but for some reason the Candy Q and Sweet Tea sauces were the real winners tonight.
Brisket was great. Will be back

No alcohol served. But thats ok cause Summerville PD doesn't need to write any more tickets

A whole in the wall, locally owned BBQ gem! Have driven by several times, but finally stopped this weekend and it did not disappoint. Bones were simply falling out of the food as tender and we'll cooked the food was. Homemade sauces were delicious. And don't even get me started about the brisket chili! Owner had his hand in it all, including the customer experience. Definitely give them a try. We'll be back for sure.

Was really impressed by the food! Ordered the Mac attack and it was awesome. Also had a pound of pulled pork and it was spot on. The sauces were great too! I usually am not a sauce person, but all the different varieties were really good and fun to try. My favorite was the sweet tea sauce. The inside of the restaurant had a really cool vibe and was clean. Lastly this seemed like it might be a family operation and that’s super cool and something I love to support. Would certainly recommend this place to others.

Saw their good reviews and decided to give them a try. We ordered the pulled chicken, brisket, and pulled pork meals. Fantastic! All of the meat was moist and seasoned perfectly. Really fresh, not like it had been sitting out for a while. The smoke flavor was right on point. The sides were generous and tasty. The homemade sauces were excellent. Very happy and will be coming back soon.

Stopped in on my way to Myrtle Beach this past week. Have been meaning to come here for awhile. I'm sure glad I did. I had the brisket sandwich, hash and rice, apple pie, and his pork wings. OMG!!! The brisket was just right, the hash and rice was some of the best that I've ever had, and the pork wings were some of the best things that I've ever eaten. It was a fantastic lunch as I got to eat and visit with the owner as him and I have been friends for years. I will definitely be back and will try to bring a group with me next time.

The meets: Moist amd falls apart easily.

The Sauces: Can't say much for all of them because I only wanted the mustard base which is damn good.

The Tea: Yes sir. It's approved.

Now, its got the staple sides for a BBQ joint HOWEVER I really recommend the Mac n Cheese. 1st time I've preferred Mac n cheese from a restaurant over being made at home.

After searching for a great BBQ place to provide the food for our wedding we landed on Ledyard. I can't say enough how much we and our guests loved the food!! The owner took his time to meet with us and helped us come up with the best menu for our wedding. The process was very simple and the food was a major HIT!! Thanks so much again!!

I tried this place on Sunday for the 1st time. Iam not a bbq person by any stretch of the imagination, but my fiancée asked me to give it a shot. I was very pleasantly surprised by the food. Greens were great! Well-seasoned and not vinegary (not of fan of vinegary greens) .
The coleslaw was also delish, as it was not mayo based (a hint of vinegar), savory with just a hint of sweetness (not a lover of lots of sweetness in my dish). The mustard-based sauce was my favorite , went very nice with the pulled chicken.

Easily among the very best in the area. The pulled pork is great, the slaw has a really clean flavor to it, the hash is delicious, and each of the sauces is fantastic and distinctive. Great people and very celiac friendly. Can’t recommend highly enough.

My picky family loved it. Got pulled pork with mac n cheese, baked beans. Burnt ends with hash and rice, lima beans.

The mac n cheese was really good, but the noodles were on the soft side. Lima beans were awesome. Hash n rice was different than what I'm used to, very meaty. We inhaled it all.

The restaurant has a neat, homey layout. Looking forward to Spring and patio dining!

Best ribs that I have ever had! The pulled barbecue and burnt ends are off the hook not to mention the wide variety of sauces that are all outstanding. The hash and rice, Mac and cheese and the Lima Beans are all excellent sides which I highly recommend! I could honestly eat here every day!

Highly recommend! The mustard based bbq sauce is amazing and so is the hash and rice! The owner, Mr. Cheyenne and the cashier Margaret are so warm and welcoming. I felt like a part of the family! I will definitely be returning to Ledyard. :)

Was recently at Ledyard Barbecue Co. and had the Brisket and Ribs which were phenomenal. Not only was the meat smoked to perfection, but the sauces and sides (I had hash w/ rice and beans) were just as spectacular as the main course. I will definitely be back!

Ledyard's BBQ is the hidden gem you REALLY don't want to miss!!! The restaurant is tucked away in a nice quiet area outside of Summerville. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The owner is a great guy with a big personality who will make sure you don't leave hungry. You can tell he has an real passion for serving up the best southern BBQ you've ever tasted!!! We will definitely be going back.

It could be the convenience factor simply because I live less than a mile away, it could be that the south is known for great barbecue, or it could be the fact that this place is something special. I've had a lot of barbecue in Charleston and this place is by far my favorite barbecue restaurant. It's got a homestyle feel to it, the staff is beyond friendly and personable, and the food is out of this world. I personally recommend the barbecue Sunday, simply because it's got everything you could possibly want. If you're really feeling fancy then tell him to throw some cheese on top of it, you will not regret it. I try to eat here at least once a week if not more. I think everyone should come and try this place out. Oh, I can't forget about the homemade barbecue sauces they have. My favorite is the sweet tea bbq sauce..... I put that stuff on everything. I've never encountered a restaurant that has sweet tea barbecue sauce except for this one place and gosh darn it it keeps me coming back. I could go on and on, but just take my word on it, come on down, and stuff your face.

I came in late on a Sunday right before closing and sure enough they were still open and served us which I do appreciate!! So many places post hours but close 15 minutes early which makes no sense. Not only that but the two youg boys who served us our take out were top notch!! They were very careful check about my food allergens, served us quickly and with care. I was very very impressed! Also, the food!! Fresh! Generous and flavorful. Get the nachos! Soooooo good! The sweet Tea sauce also was delicious. The habanero sauce perfectly spiced. Get over there for an awesome meal and a great experience. The grounds are also well cared for and lovely. This is a truly Summervillian place that deserves our patronage!
