Harmony Science Academy-Garland

Greetings! As a student at Harmony for the past seven years, I would like to share my experience with you. Firstly, I must say that the staff at this school is very kind and understanding. While the teachers may vary, in my experience, they have been mostly nice, albeit sometimes strict for good reasons. The board is also quite creative and incorporates core values in every scholar's life, like Tiger Tuesday, which is an event held on the first Tuesday of every month to discuss these values and their application in our daily school life.

The students reflect kindness in their daily school life, and we recently made cards for the elderly people as part of community service activities organized by clubs such as NEHS and Student Council. Additionally, we have a mini-Tiger Tuesday called SEL during the last period of the day.

However, there are some cons to consider, such as the school's policy of not allowing balls during recess due to concerns about student safety. Instead, most classes play soccer with a cone. Also, playing tag is not allowed because of a fight that occurred a few years back over who got tagged.

Overall, I believe that Harmony is an excellent school for well-disciplined children and special education kids. As a sixth-grader, I am sad to leave this school, and I hope that I don't get in trouble with the staff for writing this review. Nonetheless, I plan to attend the school next to HSAG HSI next year and will write another review in a couple of years.

Overall great school! Administrators, Teachers, & support staff actually take pride in what they do. No place is perfect yet when opportunities arise, they are addressed timely. I appreciate the level of trust and integrity. I recommend for parents who are looking for a well rounded environment for their child to safely learn and develop.

We absolutely love Harmony Science Academy Garland! My son has been attending since Kindergarten and is now in 2nd grade, as our only child we were so relieved to know he was and is in good hands! We have loved every single teacher he has had, they are so caring, sweet and really get to know their students and their families! We have had such a great experience with this school, teachers, principals and staff! We recommend this school to everyone we know both My sisters have registered their kiddos to these schools and a couple of my friends and all the kiddos love it! If you are in search for a good school that is dedicated and feels like family Harmony Science Academy Garland is the school! ❤

My son is starting there next year and I was wondering if anyone knows about an after school shuttle that takes kids to and from school?

Harmony Science Academy is a stellar place to work and learn! I've worked in two large school districts and they don't compare in terms of academics and talented teachers.
Students are encouraged to grow socially, and scholasticly while developing habits of strong character. Teachers are supported and encouraged to grow and learn in our own autonomous classrooms.
We have an excellent trio of administrators that work so well together; each bringing their own strengths and personalities to best serve our school.
I am happy here in this familial environment and blessed to be working here.

I highly recommend sending your kids here!! All of my children attend this school!! They have great staff and the communication with the teachers is awesome!!! They ensure your children get the best education possible. I love the principles as well you will always see them engaged, talking to parents, helping there staff with car pool and they always have a smile on there faces!

I have been working for Harmony Science Academy for a little over a month and the positive energy between students, teachers and parents is really something to be admired. Our kids are happy and they are receiving a top notch education!

My daughter attends kindergarten here. As she is my youngest, it is my first experience with a school system. Naturally, I was nervous due to fear of the unknown. However, my fears turned to excitement after only the first few months of school after I realized how caring the teachers and staff are and how much my daughter has learned and grown.

Really great school with a solid STEM program! I have had all my children attend this school system-The Academy and the School of Innovation. I was really impressed with the switch to distance learning and the attention that the teachers paid to the children's participation in activities. The administrators and teachers reached out to parents and students regularly and eased the Pandemic panic somewhat so that my children were able to focus on their academics. I also really appreciate the online option for the upcoming school year as I have no intention of endangering any child during a pandemic. Thumbs up!!!

attending this Academy has been the best decision made for my kids, the principal Sofieh Hopovac is the best . The staff and teachers are dedicated to the children, I absolutely love that there is 0 tolerance for misbehaving or any type of conduct.

Harmony Science Garland has been wonderful for my daughter, her teacher has gone above and beyond for her, she has improved her reading in just almost 3 months she has been in class with Miss Montero, during drop off and dismissal all the teachers are wonderful their helpful and always always with a great attitude. We just love Harmony

This is a great school. I have been been in this school for 6 years now and I can tell you one of the most wonderful things I have seen is that many people have improved their characters. The bratty and naughty kids grew to become well rounded people. There is no disrespect, bullying, or harassment at ALL among peers. Yes! this school has its down sides, but that is all due to the fact that it's small and has a tight community. More emphasis on academics than sports. I can sympathize with the bad reviews because it's not an easy school, and requires effort. There is great improvement in students that come here. It's my final year in high school, and I had a negative view on this school before, but I now realize the effect that this school has had to our personalities. We, seniors are currently finishing our applications, and our counselors are doing everything to help us get to our dream colleges.

Hey!! I am the Special Education Coordinator at HSA-Garland. I've worked here for 13 years and counting. Our campus has a warm, caring environment where students thrive and succeed to their fullest potential. Our Special Education department is one to brag about with caring, dedicated staff. If your looking for a school that will help your child grow, I would recommend our campus. Come take a tour and start your journey as a HSA-G tiger! :)

I love this school. My son is pushed so hard and makes straight A's there. I have not had an encounter with a bully there and the teachers love my child. I have never seen it dirty and they offer lots of neat incentives that a lot of elementary schools do not. My son takes engineering, gardening and coding as well, and he is only in the 2nd grade! They are a bit disorganized, but all the extras make up for that. My son is super happy and has never had a complaint.

Harmony is a great place to work. Teachers like to create bonding with their students and families. I feel safe and comfortable here and I have autonomy in my classroom. Give us a try.

I have had the pleasure of working here for over 7 years. The students get the opportunity to be exposed to specials classes that they would not normally be involved in like Engineering, Coding, Makers Space and more.

The staff at HSAG cares about their scholars and their scholars success. The school welcomes parent involvement while maintaining a safe environment for the scholars.

This school is a good school some of the teachers are rude but most of them are good. it has thing like gym,gardening, and robotics which you don't get at other schools. great school. i'm the flash. pretty good school don't listen to the other reviews.
