Osaka Japanese Steak & Sushi

My daughter-in-law took us to dine here yesterday and food was really great and we will come back. My Dad and I ordered the Hibachi for 2 (NY steak, shrimp, scallops, veggies) comes with salad, soup, and fried rice. Served on a big plate! My son and daughter-in-law ordered sushi — Super Mario, Las Vegas, Broadway, and the Majestic. For appetizer— ordered Soft Shell Crabs and Tempura platter. Hot sake and Beer for drinks. Loved and enjoyed all the food. Food and Service is great! We will be back!

My son wanted to have his birthday here and it was amazing! Food was delicious, our chef Miguel was amazing and fun! I think the only thing missing was a little bit of music to go along with the fun chef skills.. will definitely be back!Miguel also made my son a little birthday treat with oranges and mochi ice cream.

First time going to this location. Requested the sushi bar and we were let in immediately. They apparently keep busy and filled up all their normal tables so if you want a table, you'll likely want to make a reservation. Very friendly staff, sushi is excellent, the guys behind the sushi bar are happy to explain any of the sushi options. Prices were reasonable. Parking is decent. Only negatives, the floors were a little sticky and the bathroom was a bit dirty. Will definitely be returning.

Great show by chef, very skilled and entertaining at the same time! Food was delicious! Relaxing atmosphere, staff was courteous and fast. Loved our experience. Highly Recommend.

After movie early dinner with my wife and mother-in-law. Seated immediately, attended to promptly, and besides the restaurant being out of Green Tea, everything else was wonderful. You know a restaurant is confident in its servings and seasonings when the tables are absent of salt & pepper, and the case of an Asian Food restaurant does not have soy sauce, mustard or hot oil on the table to drown out the poorly seasoned entrees and sides. The soup was beefy and not overdone. Salad was crisp romaine, with carrots, tomatoes, cucumber and onion. All dressed (not drowned) in a great ginger dressing. The entrees from the kitchen hibachi included beef, scallops, and shrimp and was loaded with additional cooked veggies. Glad we made the stop to remind us of a great option in Helotes

For appetizer we ordered the Calamari Tempura. 6 large slices similar to onion rings.

Happy hour menu available with drink specials. My order came with salad + ginger dressing. Soup I opted for Osaka.
I enjoyed the chicken and steak hibachi meal subbed fried rice for Yakiudon noodles. Dipping sauces compliment meats perfectly. I can’t wait to return.

The attention was excellent, the food was very tasty, everything arrived hot and freshly made, so it took a while for the food to arrive. But overall a good place to eat.

Sat at the sushi bar, Issac our server was very friendly and accomadating. My friend and I wanted hot sake but they had run out, so we had Ty-Ku black and asked for it to be heated, which was not even a problem. They even had fresh wasabi, which I was so surprised. The dynamite roll was very good but there yellow tail flower was absolutely divine. We also had the sashimi deluxe 20 pc. WOW is all I can say. Location was Loop 1604 @ Bandera Rd

Grew up with Japanese food and I can tell you, the food here is AUTHENTIC. Definitely one of the best in SA. Miso soup so much like what you'd get in Japan. I was actually speechless!! The katsu (pork) was SO tender and flavorful. I was really impressed!!! Bragged about it to my Japanese friends. Already looking forward to going back. 10 out of 10.

I’ve only ordered on Grubhub, but the sushi has been great every time. I order rainbow rolls. They use a fair amount of fish, and do not bloat the rolls with tons of rice.

My family absolutely loved the sushi and sashimi. I am not a fan of this type of cuisine, so I got the yakisoba and it was okay. The service is good and the atmosphere is great. You need a reservation to get hibachi but you can see it from your table and it is very entertaining.

This restaurant is very good for family events. The food was GREAT and when we had ordered the wrong plate they were nice enough to exchange it without any additional cost. We had a great time, our server was nice and quick to get us refills without asking for them. WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!

I have been here several times and the food AND service have yet to disappoint! I ordered the inferno and Wasabi rolls. Great rolls if you love salmon and a little heat. The inferno roll is made with a ghost pepper sauce. So good! With the freshness of the food and the level of hospitality, you can't go wrong.

This is the 2nd time we've been here. First time was last year for my wife's birthday, just us two. Tonight we went again for her birthday with 9 others. We had an awesome time both times. The place isn't cheap, but portions are great and is the entertainment. Our server Amanda and chef Ricky were phenomenal. We had 3 checks and everything was easily broken down correctly. I have no doubt we will be back. I forgot the managers name, but made a point to tell him how great our experience was.

We had a table of 13 and were celebrating a 1 year old birthday. 😊 I think our chef was Andrew, and he was amazing. He was funny enough to do stand-up. Our server was very attentive, but never got his name. My daughter has celebrated both of her children's birthdays there.

Reserved a table for my birthday and Mondo gave us the best experience! The location is super nice and clean. Food was so good and we all took home huge to go boxes. We had steak n shrimp hibachi and loved the veggies and rice that it comes with. Def worth a try if you're in the area

Always a nice environment, clean establishment and friendly staff. They have gotten a few upgrades since the last time I came. Definitely recommend Osaka for some good sushi rolls and delicious chicken ☺

Solid hibatchi. Our family enjoyed the show and the food. We took ours "to go" after we ate at the restaurant and made an entire other meal the next day.

Famous Bento box Lunch special. You get a lot for the price! Bento can be modified to your liking from the sauces, dressings, soups, cook temps, rices. It's my go to for lunch! Luke & Luis are the best servers! Always friendly and attentive.

Three rols for 22$. Great priced and delicious. The servers were very kind as well. The hibachi chefs were skilled and personable!
