Wolf Den Family Restaurant

Had the chicken fried chicken mashed potatoes and fried okra. The picture doesn’t do it justice this was amazing!! Crispy but not hard and juicy chicken. Fluffy potatoes and great corn bread. Don’t be shy friends this place is great food. It’s clean on the inside and has plenty of parking.

Driving from the casino in OK back home in TX we were looking for a place to eat that served home cooked meals. We hit a home run with this find!! The entire staff was super friendly. Although it was a Sunday afternoon, we were seating soon after coming in. The food was just what we were looking for. The portions are a really good size & delicious! Everyone around us was ordering deserts. We wished we had some room because the selection was a good one. Thank you to Laura for providing us excellent service. We will be coming back for sure! This may become a regular stop when we come out this way to play.

Went to eat here while we were on a weekend trip, AMAZING! As soon as we walked in we were greeted with nothing but smiles and friendly people. The food is delicious and so is the sweet tea! We will be coming back. Thank you guys for the pleasant visit. We didn't get our waitresses name but she was blonde with brown glasses....loved her!

This place was amazing! My husband & I both got the catfish it was great and I am picky. There was more than enough food on our plate. Restaurant was clean, and our server’s name was Grace, she went above and beyond to make sure our first time here was memorable!

Our 1st time coming here and what a great experience all around from walking in, the food, the service and even paying the check lol. Our waitress was Myrtle and she was very nice, answered any questions we had and didn't rush us in any way. The food tasted very very good only possible complaint is the cornbread could use some work it was dry and bland. Will definitely be back.

I have found the best place to eat in Gainesville, hands down! The wait staff were the kindest people you ever wanted to meet: so polite and easy to talk to, highly proficient and professional. The prices were very reasonable, the portions are amazing, and the food was ridiculously delicious. AND THE SWEET TEA! I'm a tea snob of the highest order, and this is without a doubt the very best sweet tea in the entire town. I can't say enough good things about this place, I can guarantee I'll be back very soon!

Fast friendly service and home cooked foods. The sandwich was great and too big to finish! Tasty. I had the California grilled chicken and baked potato salad.

Great meal. Excellent food. Nice people. Chocolate fudge cake was A+.

Some of the best restaurant food I have ever had!! I ate with my wife and 4 other family members and there were no complaints. Service was great! Will definitely make this a regular stop when I’m in Gainesville.

Wolf Den Family Restaurant was fantastic. We came in a large group and they handled it like pros. The service was off the hook. Savannah deserves special mention for taking our table in stride and with a sassy attitude and a smile.
We had the BLT and chips and a Chef salad. Both more than we could eat.
The BLT was piled high with bacon. So much I had to leave some behind.
Definitely stop if you're ever in the area.

I'm so glad we found this place. The food was beyond delicious. The waitstaff was so friendly and never let our glasses of tea run dry. We can't wait to go back. The prices were not bad at all. We live in Pauls Valley Oklahoma and plan on driving there for date nights!

Q was a awesome server kept up with everything and definitely made us feel welcome since we're outsiders. All the food came out in a fresh timely manner. Would definitely recommend this family owned establishment.

Food was good, generous size and was served very hot. We will eat here again when we are in the area.

We stopped at the Wolf Den while heading home to OKC. The service was good and the wait staff was attentive and friendly even though they had a huge graduation party that night and were short staffed. The restaurant is clean and comfortable. I ordered the Chicken Fajita baked potato and it was delicious. My husband had a burger which he said was really good. The fries were yummy, they appeared to be fresh cut homemade fries. It was worth the stop.

Took one star off of the food because man the fat and calories will kill you but at least your taste buds will enjoy themselves while you're breathing your last. We needed a stop off before the casino for a concert and I have a rule about traveling - no chain restaurants, and nothing you can eat at home. This totally hit the spot. Friendly staff, delicious mostly doctor disapproved delectables. Highly recommend.

A very pleasant meal in Gainesville. I had a chicken fried steak that had great flavor, and was fairly tender. The mashed potatoes were pretty good, and the gravy was outstanding. I had green beans as my second side, they were a little on the bland side. My wife had chicken salad and liked it.

Our server was super nice, and the food was done quickly. We would eat here again.

When we were deciding a home-cooked place between okc and Jacksonville, TX, that would feed a family of 7, we found the wolfden! we always meet here every year when i bring my oldest son to go hunting with his pappy , It's secluded, and to me feels back in time when it was the place you went when family visited, and where everyone in a small town goes after church. I tell you what, our family of 7 could each eat on leftovers for 2 days. The plates/ servings are hearty in size, I feel like a toddler looking at my plate! The staff has always been perfect 👌 o great place to watch football games too!

Absolutely one of the best meals I've had. We had the Fried Pickles, Chips and Beef Queso, Taco Meat Baked Potatoes, and Lemon Cake and Mississippi Mud Cake

I've been a few times and it's always great. I have had the salad, hamburger, and chicken fried steak. All are worth getting, so take your pick!

I had a great total experience here. I was seated fast and the hostess was very friendly and courteous. The dining hall was immaculate and organized. I am wheelchair bound, and too many times I enter other restaurants to find the staff just standing around when there are dirty tables and the floor is disgusting. Not here. It was fantastic! I ordered the chicken fried steak with a baked potato. It was superb. I did not try using the restrooms so I cannot say if they're wheelchair-friendly but everything else is. My waitress, Lacey, was always attentive to my needs and informative about the menu. She gave an angelic smile and brought my food out promptly. Very professional and friendly at the same time. Definitely coming back!
