Fair Oaks Dental

First dental appointment today since moving here from Pennsylvania. Excellent experience starting with checkin, cleaning and then my examination from Dr. Nguyen. They accepted my insurance and appointments are easy to make. I’m very happy with my choice for a new dentist in Texas.

My wife and I have been going to this dental office for many years. I also took my nephews here when they were little kids. My second nephew is attending UT Austin now and he is going to enter UT San Antonio dental school this fall of '24. He developed such wonderful interactions/relationships with Dr. Tran and Dr. Nguyen, it left a huge impression on him as a kid. Both doctors always treated my family with tender loving care and offer their professional treatment options based on our need, unlike other places where they are focus on money. I have a dental anxiety from my previous dental offices but I don't need to worry as I always have a wonderful experience here.

From the warm welcome at the front desk to the meticulous attention given during the examination, the entire experience was truly exceptional. We love Fair Oaks Dental -- the dentists and the staff here. They are wonderful with kids, especially kids who have higher sensitivities and nervousness. They listen to the patients and the parents and are respectful. I have had terrific service, and care here for 8+ years. It is hard to find a dentist who is great at what they do, and cares about you personally; you will find that here, both in Dr. Tran and Dr. Nguyen. Thank you!!

Excellent experience!
I hadn't gone to a dentist in over a decade, and they were very helpful. The dental assistant, Joanne, was very helpful. Dr. Tran, the dentist, helped me understand the overall situation with my dental health and helped me map out a plan to a health that worked around my schedule and budget.

Always had a good experience here for all dental services

We brought our 7 year old son here for an exam and cleaning. He had never had a cleaning before due to anxiety and fear of the dentist. I should have known when we got there what to expect just by the way we were greeted with not even a hello or how are you, extremely rude by the person who turned out to be the dentist. Once we were taken back the hygienist was the only pleasant part of the short visit but none of the equipment was even for children so when they tried to do the X-rays the film wouldn’t even fit in his mouth on top of the fact he had never been so didn’t know how to do it. So instead of the dentist coming in and trying to help, she pulls me out of the room and says that they are going to refer him to another dentist. Then when we are leaving my son asks for one of their treats they have behind the desk and she tells him no because those are a reward for good patients. A $0.50 toy that any other office would hand out to any child, she couldn’t give to a boy that was terrified leaving him with another bad experience at the dentist. When I brought it to her attention that she was rude to my son her response was that she didn’t speak to him except about the treat, that is correct, she instead of doing her job and having to put forth some extra effort she sat behind the desk and didn’t even try to get to know or help her patient. I would NEVER take my child here and I will warn people about this place. There is a good reason the reviews are higher at every dentist around this office, this woman should not work with kids EVER

Cancelled on us 1/2 hour before appointment because receptionist did not want to file paperwork.
We have MetLife, verified, fully insured. Had to make 2 visits prior to today's appointment just to make sure there is someone actually there, as they do not return calls or answer emails. A very slipshod business attitude. I should have trusted my instincts when I noticed they dropped the ball at the start.
