A great place to visit for your own spiritual journey or to take the family. It is accessible for the handicap , wide sidewalks, but very hilly. It may be difficult for older folks to walk up the hill without help. Great exercise for the rest of us.
Sculptures are beautiful and lots of bible verses.
We were only there for about an hour and enjoyed it very much.

This is a very touching tribute to Our Lord and Saviour. Walking thru the entire location brings joy and sadness in seeing the ultimate sacrifice Jesus gave to us.🙏
The walkways are lined with inspirational quotes, passages and verses from the bible. There is an area full of "prayer stones" which anyone can pick up and write a prayer to leave for others to see. The Cross itself is very inspiring with verses and quotes written on it.😇
The entrance is free and there is plenty of well lit parking as well as a small gift shop at the bottom of the hill. There are clean restrooms available at the top and bottom of the monument area. The views of Kerrville from the top of the hill are amazing.💓
This stop is a must for anyone who loves and would like to see and feel a little closer to Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I highly recommend it. It's quite emotional.

It was amazing, very spiritual and informative. The sculptures were inspiring and created with such care. I felt the holy spirit there. The rock prayer garden touched my soul and gave me hope. The sculpture of nails pierced my heart with gratitude for our lord and savior Jesus Christ. The enormous cross reminded me of my redemption and the enormous amount of love our father God has for esch of us. Will return asap

Most Inspirational AND peaceful place I’ve ever been EVER been! You can actually feel the sculptures come alive. They are most beautifully hand made sculptures I’ve seen!
I was wondering if it was handicapped friendly?

This place was beautiful! A must see in kerrville. You can drive to the top. They have parking and an area for handicap parking too. They also do have 2 free wheelchairs to borrow if need. I thought that was really awesome for them to provide. They have white rocks they call Prayer rocks. You write your Prayer and place it with the others. Sign said they have markers to use but because of Covid they no longer have that. So bring your own or the gift shop as soon as you drive in has permanent markers for sale for $2 each. Great place to sit, Pray, think.

I went here on the 22nd of April. It was absolutely beautiful. Perfect weather for the perfect garden. If I had had a chance, I would have spent all day there.
It does not cost anything. They have porta potties and a gift shop.

This has been and still remains one of my favorites places to visit. The sense of peace and connection to God is so strong. The prayer request rocks that people leave and the memorial messages they make are beautiful, the lady out and fantastic sculptures there are just breath-taking. If you haven't already been here, you need to make plans to attend asap, it is well worth the trip.

This is a free prayer sculpture garden in Kerrville TX. There is regular parking and handicapped parking as well. The garden is accessible to anyone in a wheelchair or using a walker or crutches. This place is so peaceful and overlooks the city. There is scripture every few steps and beautiful depictions of Jesus! Highly recommend!

Amazing! Saw the cross and decided to visit. The Open Cross is about 3 stories high! I had no idea it was a Sculpture Prayer Garden also and it's laid out in the shape of a cross. The paths are boarded by prayer rocks that people write their prayers or requests on. There's also a lot of bronze sculptures, Jesus and the Lion of Judah to mention a few.
They also have benches and restrooms.
It's a nonprofit so they accept donations.
See my photos.

Spent a few hours visiting this wonderful park, praying with a 20 year marine vet in the prayer area. My daughter has never visited so wanted to take her on a family day to Kerrville. The Holy spirit was everywhere!
Reading all the prayer requests just filled out hearts.
Please if in Kerrville visit the Hallow Cross.
Met a group from SALT...wonderful people from San Antonio TX

This sculpture garden is truly a special place. We were staying in Fredericksburg and it was 100% worth the 30 minute drive to Kerrville to experience this.

This was our third visit to the Open Cross, and the prayer garden. This is an awesome location in Kerrville Texas, that is open to the public, at no charge. Every time we have come they have made changes, additions, and improvements. Great place to look at the artwork, and reflect on it, and it’s meanings. Great place for prayer. The prayer garden itself and the statues, our great form of worship, and testimony to the community. A lot of thought prayer and work went into this display. I highly recommend a visit, and spend some time here.

A wonderful a very spiritual place. The staff was knowledgeable and full of love. Everyone there was pleasant. Some were emotional and you could see there love for God. Great place to visit even if you are not spiritual.
