What a pleasant spot for a small business! Moved from Michigan and chose this RING OF FIRE location.

This is a great place to stop and pick up some snacks, homemade banana bread and muffins, lotto, and postage stamps--they sell them individually or you can buy the whole book. I love the antiques they have on display, and the creaky floorboards. The staff is also helpful and really friendly.

After living over in Bexar county for many years and driving by here for a long time, needed some stamps and didn't want to go to Castroville, thought we would stop in here as they have a small post office. It was great to see such history!! There is all kinds of items you might need from food to hardware. Sorry it took me so long to stop in.

The person who ran the place, is very nice and the place looks at first pretty weird but who wouldn't get weird feelings from a new place, I've been going there for the past 5 years and never fails to be my favorite small snack shop while on my way to the lake.

Cute little store, very nice cashier (same girl both times). There is a small hardware store also. It has that "small town" country vibe..

Hi my Name is Gary Goel and I live near this location for the last 20 years but I grew up in the Thomas Jefferson area quite a distance away. I think I enjoy the old country store and it's surroundings as it reminds me of going there with my Dad since I was old enough to talk. I am 51 years old now and still have an OLD TIMER pocket knife my dad bought me there. That was OLD TIMER was American Made and a Father knew a Boy needed a nice little handy pocket knife. I still have that knife and the store still has it's charm. I ride Motorcycle by there when I can just bring back the fond memories. A great little pocket knife bought in a great charming country store

My Childhood Friends and I who Road Motor Cycles in the 70"s make it our first stop on our weekend Motorcycle rides.

This is an old country general store in a building which was originally built in 1908. It's a must see! These are dying out rapidly. It also has a hardware store attached with hard-to-find items.

I grew up coming to this store and it's changed its selection of products sold over the years, but has always replaced them with better products!

With ice for sale, ice cold drinks (and beers), snacks that can be found at most ice-houses and fresh made sandwiches, this little old store is a nice place to stop on your way to Paradise Canyon or Medina Lake!

And if you're a bit of a history buff they have some books and photos of the history of Rio Medina and the surrounding areas, they even have an historic outhouse to use as their restroom!

I highly recommend stopping by for a friendly chat with the locals and enjoy what Rio Medina and surround areas has to offer!

Nice little convenience store in the country on the way to the lake or Castroville. Seeing as this a historical site; allows to see how it was back during it's development.

Pretty neat little store, they really have quite a bit of a selection, with a hardware extension, that has pretty much all the odds and ins. You should check this one out if your in the area.
