WVU Medicine Primary Care & Pediatrics - Shepherdstown

I have been very happy with every physician and staff member at this practice. The office is clean and modern & I am so grateful to have a doctors office in our community. Excellent doctors!

We are huge fans of both the doctor and nurse staff. Friendly, courteous and kind, they’re consummate professionals dedicated to helping their patients.

Dr. Kaur is amazing but it’s difficult to get an appointment with her as she’s only there a couple times a week. She’s the only pediatrician on site so if your child is too young to be seen at urgent care I’d recommend going elsewhere where more pediatricians are available.

Always busy to answer phone calls, physicians are in a hurry don’t listen to you nor do a physical exam.
Very disappointing with the service, you can’t get appointments with your primary care physician within a month.

I really enjoyed the doctors here (Dr. Kaur in particular has been AMAZING!), but being able to schedule an appointment over the phone is impossible. When my daughter has had feeding/reflux issues, I literally had to go into the office crying for them to help. If you, like me, have a child with constant medical issues, I recommend going elsewhere so that you can have help in a timely manner.

What is the point of having a doctor here when I cannot see or talk to her when I'm sick? The answer is always "Go to Urgent Care." Urgent Care charges me $50, but as my primary care doctor here, my insurance covers it.

Made an appt in Jan 23 for 2/15/23, showed up and was told it was accidentally input for 2/15/24. Now in Dec 23 got a call that they can't keep that appt and it will be 2025 to get seen. Very unprofessional office staff in both cases, do NOT recommend.

Tried to get an appointment for my son for his acne and he is coughing since a couple of weeks. First response was bring him to a urgent care we are booked today. I told them I don’t need an appointment today or urgent care, he needs an appointment. Next appointment they offered me was in 5 weeks!! This wasn’t the first time we had problems to book an appointment.

Was told I needed to do a new patient appointment because my doctor was leaving even though I'm an established patient at this location. New patient appointments were a year out and several months out at every other wvu medicine location. Will be going somewhere else.

They cant or are unwilling to confirm if they participate with my insurance.
(note: My insurance has always told me to confirm participation so I dont get a claim that will be uncovered.)

This place is awful!! Spare yourself the trip ..

Place is horrible. Their answer to everything is literally go to an urgent care.
