Great service and delicious Mexican food with an Indian twist. Very good authentic flavors, is reasonably priced, and nice neighborhood. About a 10-minute walk to train stations and easy access to the building. You get a complimentary basket of chips with each meal and they have a phenomenal salsa bar 🔥

Holy mackerel! These tacos are insane! I was visiting from out of town and had a major taco craving. I found this place and it blew me away! Especially the barbacoa tacos! And all their salsa are phenomenal. You will not be disappointed if you come here. So please go so it's still around next time I visit Chicago.

This place was so good! I had steak tacos Mexican style- cilantro and grilled onions. The onions were cooked perfectly with a little crunch to it. The black beans were served in a crunchy tortilla cup.

The fried ice cream was so delicious! They put both caramel and chocolate on it. Yum!

The decor is nothing with nothing, but the tacos were tasty.
The guy at the counter was very courteous and friendly and walked us through the menu.

Food came out quick and was good.

The pork tamale was a little spicy, tender, and not overloaded with masa.

I got the Korean beef taco, which was good. The Nashville chicken, which did not have a lot of flavor, but some heat.
The signature taco, which was an adventure. A lot of very good different flavors.

My wife got some tacos as well including the samosa taco, that was just what you would expect for that. Pretty good

This place was fantastic. The tacos were delicious. We had 1/2 Margaritas for happy hour. The place was adorable. And the waiter was so nice .
They have a salsa bar ! Which is super cool. The aesthetic is great for pictures.

3 tacos was 12.50 ish! Plus cheaper drinks, great service, and delicious food that was ready fast! This location is on the top of its game! Highly recommend if you're looking for a quick bite before a concert or event near the museum campus.

Stopped by for tacos and everything was great!!! We ordered shrimp tacos, beef tacos and their new birria taco! Ohh can’t forget the margarita flight. The watermelon mint was very minty, the guava was my fave and the original was good too. Everyone was really nice and the food came out super fast!!!

Affordable for Chicago and food was amazing. Service was quick and straight forward and menu has enough options and wasnt too long. I got the 2 taco combo. one is shrimp and one is beef. Salsa bar is good too

Great food!! It has an amazing Salsa bar with 6 different salsas which are very delicious, It has so many varieties of tacos. Amazing place. Will visit again!!!

This was my first time here, and I loved it. The tacos 🌮 were amazing. I loved the Cajun Shrimp 🍤 tacos 🌮. Dhruvi, the host, was awesome. Her suggestions were on point!

I absolutely LOVED the tacos. I never thought Chicago would have good tacos. Pictured above are the Carnitas and Cajun Shrimp tacos. Must try!

My friends also had the veg options like Paneer tacos and samosa taco which was a fusion dish but was really good too. Many options for vegetarians.

My dinner plans changed suddenly while in the city and found this place close to where I was. the best outcome possible. the tacos here were the best I've had in the city! i ordered 4 tacos and each one was amazing. The place stayed busy while I was here enjoying the meal, every time someone left a table one of the guys from the front counter were on top of bussing and cleaning keeping as many tables open as possible for more customers coming in. I cant wait to return and try more of the flavor combinations.

Food was fast and amazing with the service was excellent. Enjoyed the dine-in experience. Highly recommend!!!

Love this location, yes, Taco Maya on State St. I have not been in other locations so this review is specific to this one and not the chain.
The service is excellent, they treat me as family with always a smile and attention, fast service and the food is always like home. It is one of the closet typical Mexican food as it can be in the city. And yes, you can find some kind of American fusion for your taste too.

Very Delicious tacos, 🌮 the meat was flavorful and very well marinated,
I enjoyed a chicken and steak tacos w red onions and cilantro’s they were very tasty.
The Steak sandwich was also scrumptious.
It’s conveniently located in Downtown south loop. Close to everything right on State street. The Staff Sawa and the Lady in the photo were Kind, friendly and welcoming.

With reasonable prices, frequent deals, and a lovely menu, taco Maya is truly a hidden gem. Food is delicious and presented well in a casual environment with a self-serve salsa bar! Staff was very kind and patient with me, and the restaurant was very clean. The menu had a good mix of classic Mexican fare as well as fun twists for more adventurous eaters. Food was also just absolutely delicious! Good portions, and came with chips.

Great food, great service, and always a good vibe. Affordable lunch options that I frequent nearly once a week.

A really unique and delicious place to eat!

Got the al pastor burrito and a samosa taco. The burrito was great, but the taco was so good I wish I'd gotten more specialty ones. Horchata was also super tasty, though maybe not the most authentic.

Store is clean and the folks working there are super nice.

Food was great! Loved my taco plate. Seasoned chips were delicious. Prices were fair, service pretty quick and the atmosphere was great! Lots of options of dishes besides tacos and tons of taco flavors. Recommended for taco lovers!

Fresh delicious tacos specials with hibiscus or horchata as refreshments 🤙 probably my favorite stop first week back in Chicago.
