Hey it's just a big gravel parking lot with a few porta potties out baking in the sun. But we didn't come here for the parking lot did we we came here for the C&O Canal trail and the trail is great.

We rode south on the trail in early September in 2023 for about seven miles and then back as the 97 degree temperature did us in. It must have been really dry for a long while as the trail was very dry and dusty.

In spite of those conditions the towpath ride was really lovely with some stretches lined with large Sycamores. We saw at least seven deer and a flock of 11 wild turkeys. Hot ya, dusty ya but still a nice ride and all in all a good day.

It's beautiful here with a good amount of parking and easy access to the trail and the river and trails for walking or biking. Definitely recommend!

The C&O canal is a terrific spot to run, walk, or bike. There are miles of trail along the river with lots of shade. The trail is well maintained. This is the place I always go for a jog when I'm in town.

Great way to access the C&O Canal from the Boonsboro area.

Quiet and clean with portapots before that hike along the river.

Large parking area just past the very small one on the right. Just keep following the road.
