Two Rivers Treads

My wife and I are from Rochester, NY. We were listening to one of our favorite podcasts - Trail Runner Nation - on a drive down to Harpers Ferry. The episode was with Mark Cucuzzella. At the end of the episode, they mentioned Two Rivers Treads. How serendipitous we were in the area! We had to visit.

By far the most amazing running we've every been to. We had the pleasure of meeting Dion who was incredibly informed and knowledge about all things related to natural running. I was blown away. Dion answered some questions I had and quickly gave some helpful recommendations to improve my running form; an irreplaceable aspect of the brick & mortar store.

The inventory of natural running footwear was unlike anything I've ever seen: Xero, Vivobarefoot, Lems, etc; footwear that's typically difficult to find and try on.

I'm excited to pass through the area again to give Two Rivers Treads another visit. This shop will also be my go-to resource for all things related to natural running.

Great service from employees, they were helpful but not pushy and let me take my time trying on shoes. Nice selection of minimalist-style running shoes for road and trail.

Edit: went back a second time, and they didn't have my particular size. The employee helped me find the shoe online for way cheaper than anywhere I'd seen before! Just goes to show they really care about helping you find the right shoes, not just selling their own products.

Great place, totally recommend, employee and owner are such kind people. We came from a long place to visit (Puerto Rico) and they made us feel so welcomed. I would totally recommend the place to anyone and hope we can have the opportunity to visit them again. Also my kids got a generous gift since the owner was aware of our current situation at that time when a hurricane hit out island. Thank you for everything, forever grateful 🙏🏼

I am currently walking my fourth time on El Camino de Santiago de Compostela. It is my 7th day now and my feet have never felt more comfortable. Feet are what it’s all about and I’m so grateful I have had no issues. I think of you guys often while hiking. I must have been in your shop five times planning and discussing the best options for my feet. You guys were amazing and did not steer me wrong! I love the new solution you suggested of wearing toe socks, and then a thin fitted hiking sock. You also help me to choose my hiking boots, which feel like I am wearing slippers in my Altra Lone Pines. I’m so grateful I had your help before setting out in the Camino. Thank you for all your patience!!! 🙏🏻

I visited Two Rivers Treads for the first time last month. I was looking for a pair of shoes for walking through Germany and Italy. The good folks there took the time to ask about my needs and experience. They carefully measured my feet, and I ended up buying a pair of Lems, which I love. I really appreciate their kindness and excellent service. You can't get that from Amazon. Support this excellent business. I know I certainly will.

This is a great local running store. Sarah helped me find the perfect shoes and gear for my different races. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable. I will definitely be back and tell others to check out TRT!

I was assisted today by Dion fitting me for my first pair of 0 drop shoes. Dion watched me run on the sidewalk in the shoes and then spent the next 30 minutes making suggestions on how to improve the mechanics of my running. Dion asked me a few times how the shoes felt but other than that, his focus was on my running vs making the sale. I have never had a running store clerk/rep with this much knowledge and interest in helping me improve. He said his knowledge came from Dr. Mark's extensive training which all staff receive.

The store in Ranson is about 50 minutes from where I live but the investment in time traveling there is well worth it. I probably wouldn't make the journey to buy a pair of socks but for possibly two pairs maybe I would. I did purchase the shoes but no socks, this time.

Incredibly polite and me and my man found some great shoes thanks to the wonderful sales woman there. Can’t wait to go back during the winter to buy some boots!

Excellent customer service! As a mom, I am delighted that I was able to bring my boys to get wide box toe shoes for their growing feet. Thank you for making the fitting process so easy and for helping us find the perfect shoes.

I wear a size 14 and trying to find any shoe that's size is a total pain. Found them on Google and had my size hiking boots had them shipped to south Carolina had them in 2 days and had the super cool hand written letter couldn't be more impressed!!!

My first time in and it was fantastic! Great people got me into some awesome new shoes. Feet are feeling great and I'm walking better already.

The owner, a doctor and avid runner, spent about 30 minutes discussing my injuries, analyzing my gait, and discussing exercises to strengthen my feet and help minimize the pain in my knees, which have both undergone surgery. Super impressed with this store and their service! They have a great selection of running shoes and gear, too!

Great small business with the knowledge to go along with the customer service. Helped me size my feet over email and had my new shoes in less than a week. What was a 5 month process finding a Vibram dealer they solved in a week. Will do business again!

I live in Boulder CO, visiting family here in WV, and I'm so jealous - this store is FANTASTIC. That they're all about minimalist shoes, while also including a selection of transitional shoes, is just so cool. And the staff couldn't have been more helpful. I guess the only little negative is they don't have the largest of selections but that's probably to be expected from a small independent shop. If you're at all interested in minimalist shoes, you'd be crazy to not give Two Rivers a visit!!!

First of all, I love supporting local businesses and I’d passed this store a lot and wanted to check it out to get some insight on their shoe types because they seemed different than what I was used to buying.
I walked in and was immediately helped by Sarah, she was extremely knowledgeable and patient. I highly recommend this store because they aren’t just trying to sell shoes. I was showed a couple different exercises and I learned how to correct my form so I didn’t have any pain during or after a run. Compared to the other running store I visited in Frederick MD, this place was infinitely better. I’ll definitely be back for any and all my running needs!!

This has been my favorite running / shoe store for about 7 years. I can't even remember how many pairs of shoes, boots, and apparels I have purchased here. Don't be intimidated if you are new. The staff are beyond friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and the pricing is fair. There are clinics, podcasts, events, and demos all held from this location. I highly recommend this store.

My first time at Two Rivera Tread was a few weeks ago. The gal who helped me was very knowledgeable and helpful while picking out a new pair of running shoes. I called the store yesterday because I noticed the tread on the bottom of my shoe was peeling already they told me to come on in and they would exchange them for a different pair. I highly recommend them to anyone! Great customer service!

I always feel comfortable coming here to buy shoes. I am not the typical runner and have felt uncomfortable at other run shops. Thank you for making me feel welcome and listened to. Even though we have moved from the area will make the trip here for the service alone.

I found Two River Treads when I was walking around Ranson. I later took my son with me to check it out and the ladies there were great! Not only do they have an incredible knowledge around running, their products, and how to help get your best run, but they were so patient with my toddler while we found the best running shoes for my running style. I will definitely be back!

Amazing shoe store! ! If you're stuggling with finding the right pair of shoes for an activity or everyday this is the place to go. They promote healthy, happy feet. My brother and I were helped by Dion. I left with the perfect pair of trail shoes and a smile.
