River Riders Family Adventure Resort

We did the flat water tubing on the last day of September. I got the red tube with the paddle as we originally were going to be doing the white water tubing- due to circumstances on the day we chose to do the flat instead. The customer service here was really good, everyone was very helpful that we met.
Really enjoyed the flat water, very scenic and a lot of fun.
An experience I would recommend to anyone.

Had an amazing day zip lining followed by a relaxing tube ride down the river. The zips are well run and professional— safety was the top priority. Our guide Indigo clearly loved his job and made the adventure fun and light hearted— even when some of us started to chicken out.

Tips- bring sneakers for the zip and water shoes for the tubing. Do the zip course first. They have changing rooms you can use and a restaurant on site for a quick snack. Bring drinks for tubing. They have cooler floats (pictured) you provide the ice and the drinks. Expect it will take longer than you think for both activities. We were there ALL DAY and slept well that night. Loved it all.

Absolutely fantastic weekend of camping in November! I stayed in a primitive trail site, off the main path of the campground. It was secluded, private, and quiet, not to mention the view of the river! Pics are both of the river, one with an eerie morning fog… gorgeous setting. Staff and camp host were informative and hospitable. I will be returning!!

All staff friendly, helpful and courteous. Equipment good. Absolute fun to be had. They are well organized and know how to handle crowds. My 2nd time whitewater tubing and will continue when in area. I've tubed with several outfitters and River Riders is my favorite.

River Riders campground was beautiful and the staff very helpful. Our first night our camper was tripping the breaker. The camp attendant was called and immediately found out the problem with the outlet connection. He provided temporary solution by providing an adapter for us to use the 50 amp. The next day they had the 30 amp fixed. The train could be loud at times but they are honest on their site about it. Inside the camper it wasn’t bad for sleeping. Highly recommend.

Wonderful experience for my boys and myself. We did the white water tubing and had a blast. My boys are 14 and 11 and the rapids were no problem for them. We will definitely be going back.

I would recommend upgrading to the deluxe tube with a paddle, it’s worth the money and would make the trip more enjoyable.

I would also recommend taking your time, stop along the route, swim and enjoy the beautiful views. They pickup until around 6 or 7 so you have plenty of time.

There is a beautiful waterfall at the end of the trip…Enjoy!

We had a wonderful experience with the aerial adventure park! Jared from Alabama was our guide. He exemplified experience speed and patience. One of the people in my party has a heightened fear of heights. Jared's calm patient demeanor and positive encouragement helped our person complete the obstacles. The price was reasonable for the complexity of the course, experience of the guide, and the time allowed. Jared also gave us tips on how to accomplish each obstacle. There are options to choose from if you want something simpler or very challenging. This was an activity our family will definitely do again and give us something to remember for years to come

This past weekend was my second time going to the River Riders Adventure for tubing and my seven year old was super excited because this is the first time she’s ever been allowed to go on the river with us. We did the flat water course and even that had a few mini rapids which were nice but not too much for a seven-year-old. It was very hot but the water was perfect. The only thing you had to make sure of is to wear shoes because there is lots of rocks and pebbles in the bottom and keep your knees bent as I have lots of bruises and scratches on my knees, because the water is not very high in many spots. My sisters and I tied our tubes together so we could get out and swim a few at a time I highly recommend bringing some snacks (i.e. drinks and chips) because you will be on the water for a minimum of two hours so you’ll probably be dehydrated from the sun if you don’t bring at least a bottle of water. Super fun during the hot summer days and I highly recommend it for families or get together’s with your friends!

Starting out, I had a reservation issue that calling the shop fixed up super quick and very friendly. Great customer service.

Our guide not only have good tips for tackling obstacles, but she was full of complements and encouragement.

This trip, we enjoyed the adventure course. This is a physical activity, so be ready for the workout. The course is broken into difficulty ratings, and some of the longer harder runs have a Zipline early exit. This is useful if your teen kids are twice as fast as you. You can still play, but not hold everything up.

My fiancé booked for us to go white water rafting on a trip to Harper’s Ferry this past weekend. I was nervous because I’m not the strongest swimmer and have asthma but gave it a shot. We had an absolute blast! The staff is so skilled and knowledgeable. Steve, our guide, made the trip so fun! I felt completely safe and found a new activity that I absolutely love! I can’t wait to go back.

We had a blast doing the zip line canopy tour. Our guides Ava and Tay (Taylor) were awesome. Their professionalism and sense of humor really made our whole experience so enjoyable. The group all really felt like a team moving through the tour. The energy was fantastic, and I truly appreciate the effort and courtesy extended to us the whole entire day by everyone we encountered. Afterwards, we did The Adventure Park and that was an absolute blast. Loved the challenge of the obstacles, and the way you can pick your own route.
Again, from gearing up to going through the course all the staff had your back the whole way and made you feel at ease through every obstacle. Bravo River riders!

We brought a large group to attend a work outing. They handled us with great care and professionalism. Kayla was our liaison for the day and answered my many questions and gave great guidance! We will definitely return. Loved the gift shop, enjoyed the ice cream, had a blast on the ropes course, and it was a huge bonus that the weather was perfect. Thank you to each employee we met, each greeted us with a smile and genuine enthusiasm.

What a great activity to do in the middle of the week! Tubing was fantastic and the staff was amazing and very accomodating. Highly recommend.

So much fun! Great price and the staff were amazing. They really know how to keep it organized with so many people, I was so impressed. We did the tracker tubes with paddles which I highly recommend.

Great canopy tour with Brooke and Willow. My mom has a slight fear of heights and they were very patient and assuring. They were both helpful and safety oriented. Excellent and fun experience.

We had the absolute best time on the river today . Our guide George was friendly, knowledgeable, and made it a great experience. Perfect first rapids experience for our family.

Absolutely incredible experience. Truly a must do adventure. Recommend getting there an hour before your float time so your check-in isn't rushed. They have plenty of options for your tube, cooler options, and souvenirs. Bring sunscreen!

We had a wonderful time at River Riders celebrating our buddies bachelor party! Staff were educational, funny and down to earth. Our guide was Brady who was a fantastic guide! Very knowledgeable of the river, how to navigate, and how to direct 5 new white water rafters on how to get through the rapids. Brady also provided great historical context to the area of Harpers Ferry and what was in the surrounding area. Would recommend him as a guide and the company for anyone!

I surprised Jason with a trip to River Riders for Fathers Day. It was way beyond my comfort zone and I want to give the biggest shoutout the all the employees there for being so amazing and wonderful but more than anything Brooke and Ian who were our guides on our zip lining tour! They were so encouraging and enthusiastic even when 2-3 different parties of our planned group canceled or backed out. They are amazing at what they do and I highly recommend the zip lining tour and if your lucky enough to get Brooke and Ian your in the best of hands and will have a blast!

Very fun. We went river rafting for beginners. Fun little excursion with the family. Wouldn't recommend if your not use to a lot of physical activity and can't anchor yourself into the boat with one foot. Very steep hill at the end you must go over to get back on the bus. Easy to fall out of the boat, but very fun.
