The Home Depot

I had to drive from Winchester VA to the Home Depot in Ranson WV to get some barn wood shiplap. By using the Home Depot app, you can check the item in other stores to see if it's available and how many are in stock. The Home Depot in Winchester was out, but Ranson had 70 plus boards. I usually buy all my home improvement items from Home Depot. Everyone was very helpful in the store.

I have never had a bad experience with this Home Depot. I know nationally there are some reasons for some folks to have an issue with corporate, but I do try and focus on the people on the front lines doing the job. At this home depot you will find good people willing to go some extra steps to help you out. That is something that you have to appreciate. Their deals are a hit and miss it seems. Sometimes you will find something with a clearance sticker that amounts to MAYBE a one percent discount. Other times you find something amazing that you are shocked no one else has grabbed up yet.

Went in today to pick up a Power Washer. They were way up high out in the Nursery section. I asked a floor clerk if he would get one down for me.

He said not today, come back tomorrow.

Went to Service Desk and got the same answer.

I found the store manager and they proceeded to get one down for me.

After picking up some items I needed, I decided to introduce my son to the tool department. The employees were extremely friendly and engaging. They talked with him about the tools, as well. My son was very excited about the large washer we bought as a souvenir.

This review is for Celeste in Customer Service on March 1st around 4pm. We came to purchase materials for a job we're getting ready to start & when we checked out, we asked to price match an item. The woman ringing us up said she spoke to a manager & they told her no. (We've had items price matched before with no issue) So we paid & I then sit in the parking lot & call customer service to see if the policy has changed. Celeste handled everything from checking with multiple managers, reviewing store policies & even taking care of us her self when we re entered to have it all fixed. She was excellent & handled everything with absolute ease even though I was very frustrated - not at her but just the situation. She deserves some recognition & hell even a raise because let me tell ya, most CS Reps these days are awful & I have no idea what she deals with on a daily but she was putting off so much positive energy & good vibes. Thank You again Celeste!

Charlestown Home depot is well stocked and staff is informative. Found what I needed!

Looking for 2 items I have a hard time finding locally. I had store personnel help me when I could not find them, to no avail. Inventory said they were there, but we could not locate them. Had to resort to Amazon,, instead if buying locally.

Friendly staff and knowledgeable. No matter who I asked for help they knew where items were. Not like other stores where they say I don't know this isn't my department. Thank you Home Depot

Very helpful staff, and tend to have exactly what I need. They always have to supplies I need and very helpful at the registers to get me out of there.

Great selection of home improvement products and good prices. Employees are very friendly in my experience and generally quite helpful. I typically spend 30 minutes or so in the store and am asked if I need assistance 2 -3 times.

Update: some new faces but the same great service and products!

Generally have a good experience there, most recently I was buying a wood panel for a project and needed it cut down. Had to ask twice for someone to come use the big cutter in the back, waited for about 10 minutes each time. No one showed up.

Abandoned my panel and was planning on coming back another time for it - a nice woman working at the front recognized us, asked if we got help, when we told her that no one came she made SURE we got our piece cut. 5 stars specifically because of that woman and the other nice women up at checkout who helped and made sure we got our piece cut.

Home Depot went above and beyond for me! I had ordered a propane fire pit for my birthday for pick-up the next day, somehow it went missing and couldn’t be found. The great staff refunded me $20 off my order and gave me a free upgrade to large fire pit/table that I’m extremely happy with!

Most staff is very helpful , although some can be rude. There was one employee named John, who was absolutely positively awesome. He was so much help, knew his stuff, got exactly what I needed. If there's more than one John that works there I want to give credit to the John that wore a veteran flag, with tattoos down the both arms. Thank you John, YOU'RE AWESOME

I've been to this location multiple times and never had a problem. Today I was looking for a couple of items that I didn't know where they might be. I asked the first employee where an item was, he was friendly and promptly told me where I could find what I was looking for. Then asked a second employee where I could find something else. He was also very helpful and I found what I was looking for. I go to hardware stores on a daily basis and rarely find people that now there but from a hole in the ground. I just like to give credit, where credit is due!!

My son and I were looking for hardwood flooring for our home and we got assistance from the most friendly and helpful Home Depot employee I have ever met!! Greg, the flooring specialist, took his time with us and went above and beyond to ensure we got what we wanted at the best possible price. Kudos to you Greg, you restored my belief in there are still people out there who know the value of providing true customer service! You should be recognized as an exceptional employee and an asset to Home Depot!
