Lake Park Campground & Cottages

One of the best campgrounds we've ever stayed in! We are tent campers and the tent sites are level and easy to set up a tent on. Very close to bathrooms is a plus. Bathrooms/showers wonderful! No complaints whatsoever, would definitely stay here again!

This was our first trip to see the sites of South Dakota, and we were definitely not disappointed. Staying here at the edge of Rapid city, was the best choice we could have made. We could travel a short distance in any direction, and take part in all kinds of fun activities, or visit amazing places. The comfort of this resort was exactly what we needed at the end of each days activities, and there were multiple options for food delivery on the days that you ran yourself ragged, and didn't want to cook. The cottage that we stayed in had everything we needed, and made for a great home away from home. Honestly on our next trip out here I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else, and my family can't wait to come back.

Had a fantastic time. Our cabin was awesome! It was extremely clean and comfortable. Tons of hot water. AC was great. Beds were very comfortable. It is really close to a pond/lake and the river. When I go back I will stay there again.

The cabin was perfect for our large family. We loved the huge deck. It was very comfortable and clean. It was a great location for lots of activities. We would definitely stay here again.

Cabin where nice and clean. Has everything you need except knives are dull so bring your own knives. People are friendly good staff. Had deer walking around the cabins.

I wanted to give a positive review even though we haven't stayed here. We had to cancel our reservation due to a medical issue. The campground has been very kind and understanding of our situation and are very communicative with us concerning a refund of our deposit.

We stayed in our 5th wheel here for 6 weeks it was absolutely amazing. Cute vintage bathrooms were clean amd had excellent water pressure and they got super hot which I love. Beautiful and accommodating. The location is amazing we loved watching the geese and goslings and paddleboating on canyon lake. The Trout fishing was amazing and we found some gorgeous walking trails. Will visit again!

Cute, quiet, very roomy and well decorated cabins in a beautiful area with a nice walking path along the creek just across Chapel Ln. We saw several deer around the cabin and walking path. Our intention was to hit the grocery store and cook dinner each night since we had a full kitchen, but there are so many great restaurants around and so much to do in the immediate area that we chose to dine out instead because we were exhausted after day 1 of site seeing! Great place though. Very clean, comfy, and accommodating. The lady at the camp/cabin office was also super-nice and very helpful!

The whole family enjoyed staying here. We had cabin #5 and it was great. It fit our family of 5 perfectly. I was so impressed by the cleanliness of the cabin! I mean every corner of this place was clean. The playground was just a short walk away and the lake was not much further. Thank you so much for all the great memories! I would most certainly stay here again and recommend to anyone.

Clean cabins friendly staff willing to get you anything you need within their means. Definately go above and beyond. Good parking space for a truck and trailor. Would recommend to anyone.

Great little cabin! Good location. We had a great time and enjoyed the cabin. Had a 2 bedroom for the 5 of us and it was perfect. Was nice to able to do laundry. People working there were friendly! Would definitely recommend! Thanks for a great stay.

Great location and best WiFi in the biz. Easy access to the Black Hills (15-40 min, depending on where you’re going). Canyon Lake is walking distance. Nice stream and lots of city trails nearby. We have 3 kids and all five of us were able to stream at the same time after a long day in the hills. Hosts are awesome! Super helpful and friendly. Great place to take the family.

We stayed in Deer Glen Lodge at this wonderful campground resort. The lodge is huge, much bigger than appears on the website. An upper and lower (main floor) level. Both have living room areas and full kitchens and dining areas. The entire place was sparkling clean and decorated so nicely. Also has air conditioning which was fantastic during our stay (97 degrees on two days). Beds were very comfortable. The lodge is aptly named as we saw deer every day! A doe and two adorable fawns on one evening. The grounds were beautiful and very well maintained. We would definitely stay here again if ever back in the area!!

Rented a tent site for one night after minivan boondocking for 10 days.
$40 elec/water/WiFi included. Bathrooms/showers immaculate, tons of hot water.
Laundry 2$ wash, 1$ dry :)
Walks by the lake we’re a bonus. Lots of shade as well. WiFi great.

Cottages were great for a family, were able to cook meals using provided housewares and grill. Staff was helpful and friendly, property was clean. Most extras were already in unit we didn't need to ask for anything. Thanks for making our first trip with our 9 month old great.

Very clean and peaceful. A great location right next to a trail and lake. Best of all, fabulous service. We locked ourselves out of the bathroom. Not having a mini screwdriver, a paper clip or anything else to unlock it ourselves, we called for help at 6:15 am (office doesn’t open until 8 am). Within minutes a super helpful and friendly guy comes and unlocks the door. Bravo!

One of my biggest fears when traveling is staying in a place that you are not comfortable in. It will ruin everything for me. The minute I walked into Cabin 16, I knew this was going to be a great stay! It was CLEAN, so so so clean. Everything about it was perfect. Even the futon was as comfortable as a futon mattress could get! Those things are usually terrible, but not this one! I could go on about how happy I was with this stay.

The grounds, cabins and location are fantastic!! Close to so many local attractions. Wonderful friendly staff. The kitchens in the cabins are amazing, fully stocked!! Great selection of cabin types with insane closets! Definitely want to come back! Great place!!

We stayed in a lovely little cabin. It was the perfect setting for our getaway!
