John L. Jones Park

This is a small park with seemingly no parking. It also has no bathrooms, shelters, or sidewalks.

Now what it does have is a few soccer areas, a baseball diamond, one bench, one outdoor grill and one playground in use by the preschool during the day.

It has no walking paths or restictions so you can walk anywhere, and on the edges, you will find that you are in someone's backyard on the North, East, and West side. However, other than having windows and yards facing in, it is private, and quiet, when not in use by either the daycare or the recreational center.

It is a good place to go if you like walking, jogging, or perhaps bird watching. Due to the quiet nature of this park it is easier to see nature. During the Summer, for example, on the West side are hummingbirds in people's backyards. Other birds can be spotted due to the open area.

Being respectfully quiet and still in the early morning allows one to see a collection of some of the smaller wildlife in the area. Always has plenty of bunnies.

It is an area that is kid-friendly and a great place to use your imagination as it doesn't have the distraction of other area parks.

Nearby is the airport and it is possible to see the planes turning overhead for landing during certain times or in some cases, as they first take off when climbing. The actual airport and grounds can not be seen.

The people living nearby are friendly, and will walk thier dogs, or just run through.

Take this park for what it does have to offer and enjoy . Footpaths are snuggled in the neighborhoods themselves and little lakes are nestled nearby. Geese are common there and an occasional duck.
