Maylin is friendly and professional, always taking her time to listen to my preferences and cutting my hair skillfully. being an Asian my hair is bristly and uneven, but she always able to style my hair perfectly. I've been going to the salon for about eight months. Every time I go, I am extremely happy with the results. My hair is never looked healthier, and I get lots of compliments on the styling and my blue ends. Even a random high school student on the street, one day told me she thought my hair was really cute. They give you exactly the hair cut and treatment you asked for.

I went here for bridal hair and makeup and they (Jarmen and Robin) did an excellent job! My mom came in just to watch, but then they did her hair too and really made us both look our best. :)

I originally went to MayLin at her former place of employment. She saved me from a truly terrible haircut (tears and all). I followed her to Salon Antou and am very glad I did. The environment is clean, friendly, relaxing and of course you always leave smelling lovely with Aveda products. With a lot of patience, MayLin and I have finally produced the haircut I was originally looking for and I could not recommend her more to others looking for reliability and skill in a stylist.

I followed Maylin to Salon Antou because she is the best hairdresser that I have worked with. For reference, my hair is the tradiational asian texture, thick and coarse. She does an amazing job. Perfectly executing what I want to the T.

I have been apprehensive of cutting my hair in Evanston as I had previously had a bad experience with a barber who did not know how to cut asian hair. However, getting my hair cut by Maylin was so much better. I had pretty vague instructions for how I wanted my hair cut and she cut it exactly how I wanted it cut and gave me some tips for upkeep. Will be coming back.

I followed Maylin here because it’s not so easy to find someone who can do Asian hair well. I’m an Asian guy with Asian hair and Maylin does an amazing job. I’ll follow here anywhere she goes. Highly recommend.

Have been going to Salon Antou for more than 10 years. Jarmen is great, always very professional and pleasant. My wife started to see Jarmen too and loves her. And all of our kids have come to Fata who is great. Everyone at the salon is very friendly and accommodating. It has been very clean and safe through COVID. I highly recommend Salon Antou.

I’ve been going to Robyn for over 5 years. She always rolls with the punches when I ask for something new, tweaking my style till I’ve gone thru a couple “dozen” ideas. She knows just what will look good on me and takes her time to create it. I always feel fantastic when I walk out of the salon. And such a friendly person too!

I just had my hair done at Antou Salon on Davis St in Evanston. Jarmen did an amazing job with my relaxer and hair cut. She definitely knows how to cut and style African American hair! Even better she uses Aveda products. My hair feels so silky smooth after she uses Aveda color gloss. I feel like a new woman!
